  1. Nice to hear someone speak from the heart and I agree with you. I hope he comes to LC. The program needs all the help it can get. It doesn't matter who is there or who is leaving. We need players to keep coming in that can make a difference and keep building the program up, not tearing it down with words. Thanks for the advice.
  2. They are suppose to announce the new head coach tomorrow. You need to quit worring about who's playing, who's starting. The new coach will have something to say about it, not the players. Most of those kids are good kids, good christian kids and good students. Just like any other team, you've got players that want all the play time and you have team players. When they play team ball, they are tough to beat. This past year they played like a team on a Friday and Saturday night and beat Farragut and Maryville two nights in a row. They have a long road ahead. New coach and new incoming freshman. Happens every year. Won't be any different this year except we might even have a try out. I'll pull for them no matter who plays but I do hope they get a coach that really wants to be there. I think Shane wanted the CAK job 2 years ago and I think he was shamed into taking the LC job but didn't really want to be there. I really don't think he was run off. He cared about the LC boys too. It's suppose to be a fun sport to watch and a lot of parents can take it so serious that their kids can't have fun. I've done it too. It's time to let the coaches coach and Milsap's time to tell unsatisfied parents to go sit down and shut up. Their kids can earn their playing time in practice and let the coach decide. Yall have a good one and we will check out the new coach tomorrow.
  3. With Bearden loosing all their starters,Maryville and Farragut loosing several players including their big post players, who do you think the final 4 will be in the district? Last year's 1-4 standings were 1. Bearden, 2. Maryville, 3. Farragut, 4. Lenoir City. Will others in the district compete with these 4? I heard rumor that Lester Wilson is transfering to Bearden. Any truth to it?
  4. He coach's Team Hustle girls AAU. The information was listed with his team on their web site.
  5. LC has 3 of 5 returning that started almost every game last year. Hood, Powers and Hilton. C Mabry is coming off a knee injury but Caleb, Hayden Park and Tyler Thomas will be in the mix to replace Bobby. Filling Bobby's shoes will be tough for any freshman at that position. Jordon may be able to step it up but there is a big difference from getting your shot off in middle school vs high school. Ask DP. He worked hard for two years getting better each year ball handling and at getting open. Jordon has a good size and his shooting ability will help a lot if he can get it off. I would not be suprised either if he follows coach Wells to CAK.
  6. Joe Jackson was planning on going to Memphis. Since Calipari left, any chance he will go somewhere else and is Bruce Pearl looking at him?
  7. I heard they wanted a coach with experience. Most assistants don't have much. I don't know where they came from. Rodney Nelson does have an impressive resume' but I've heard he has not been contacted yet so I don't know if he's even in the running. Assistant coach at Maryville College 4 years, 2 year stents. Maryville High School Coach 1982-2006 Carrier record" JV- 56-20 Varsity- 446-276 District AAA=1 1st in school history State Tournament 1992 Region Titles 1 Coach of the Year District 4 AAA-8 times and much much more. It's a shame if they don't even look at him. Wouldn't supprise me either but that's experience. I also heard Windle was at the school but not sure about the interview. He was in town for the Robert Towne track meet. Could have just stopped by to say hello. Maybe, maybe not.
  8. That's what coach Wells did. 2 years eaton elementary, 2 years north middle, 2 years Loudon, 2 years LC, ? years CAK. When Wells was hired, Windle had know idea how long he would be at LC. Any assistant would want to get a head coaching job. Wells is a little older than Windle but not that much. He could have thought Wells would be there for a long time when the offer came. I don't blame him for trying to better himself especially if he was planning to get married but that doesn't mean he didn't like it at LC. It was a shame to loose him and I know Seymore would feel the same way if they lost him. He's a really good coach and I've seen him coach AAU girls teams and he's just good with kids. I feel your pain.
  9. It will be 3 coaches in 4 years for the LC seniors of next year.
  10. Any idea who will be putting in for the head coaching job at LC.
