Not sure if this a fling record for runs scored in the first round games, but WOW! blowouts in all games! Seems like the big three are playin on a different level, looks like it is anyone's championship, the big game being tomorrow Thursday at 7, whoever wins will be in the drivers seat, be tough for the loser to win 3 in a row against the (3) high caliber teams.

You're right TruBlu..........the drums never stopped....and I saw 3-4 Rdale games also, but like you said...no big deal.

Just again how differently "those people" are and think.....but the girls won it not the fans !

I was at the champioship game at the horns were a little anoying, but the Beech fans were intentionally blowing the whistles right when the batter was receiving the pitch, just like rec' ball girls yelling "swing" when the balls come in. I didn't hear Rdale fans doing that. At least they were consistent when blowin the horns.

It will be interesting in AAA next year.....Soddy and Ooltewah will be in the same district with a good Walker Valley team and in the same region with Coffee County......Soddy will only lose 2 starters from this years team and returns a very good pitcher in Nunley.....I think Soddy returns to state next year......

You could possibly say the best team didnt win the tournament if the score was 1 to 2 or 2 to 3 but the score was 9 to 1 ! Riverdale creamed Beech! At this point the Beech coach should be looking at himself trying to figure out WHY his team couldnt hit the ball off of Riverdales pitcher. She is not dominating. The Beech coach was out coached in all aspects of the game. The Riverdale players played well. Riverdale is the better team and Woods owes Breeden and the girls an apology for that "full of himself" remark

Define Dominating?`Are you only a dominating pitcher is you have 15K's`a`game at state? Cus`nobody dominated if that is the case. Greenwood looked good, the Maryville girl looked solid, Connell looked solid, but nobody has 15K's a game. It's not all about strikeouts, ball location and movement are just as important and can also make a pticher dominating. Just hate it when the press and everyone else gets so enamored with strikeouts and you not a dominating pitcher if your not striking out the entire order. It was an incredible season and you have it right! Believe it as a parent we supported and believed in our team but so many people were saying we were going to win it all. Many of our parents always say it's done on the field not on this site or in the papers. Any team can beat anyone on any given day. Yes, we came up short and our girls made errors and just mental mistakes they haven't been making. Mr. Bat Boy it works both ways, when we beat them and put them in the losers bracket the warrior nation was pretty silent as well. DubC is a Wilson Central parent and has stated that many times so only talk about what you know. What it comes down to is two great teams played and had awesome seasons one came in first the other second. No matter what we are proud of our girls and expect to be there again next year.

Of all the AAA teams in the 'boro this year, the Beech girls have the scariest lineup, top to bottom. Very talented team, sure they'll be back on a mission next year. Congrats, on a great season! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Please!!!, this thread was started by a Wilson Central fan after Beech beat them for like the 4th time. Not a Beech fan. These were good games, why do people try to tarnish it now??? I think the difference for Beech was only having 1 standout pitcher. They played a lot of games and she pitched almost all of them. Looked like she got tired down the stretch. Glad to see Riverdale get a gold ball in softball, they hit the ball very well and have some very good players. Maybe they are over the "hump" and will return next year. Banks pitched 5 in 4 days, tough for a pitcher. Hoadwonic for Riverdale pitched her 7th in 4 days. Don't know how they do it. Both pitchers did a great job. Very solid programs. Congrats to both!!

Thanks to some home cooking by umps. Riverdale walked in confident and walked off relieved.
