  1. I would say that most schools are in the same situation. Just finding out what needs to be done and really not looking as good at this point as they will in a few weeks. Going against other schools in scrimmages lets you see where you are weak and need improvement. Going against as good or better teams magnify the weakness and lets you see what you need to do.
  2. Now Croz, just ooonnneee time you could be for us the first week !!
  3. Tacky - Tacky - Tacky Man, you need to move back north with your Yankee buddies - you sure don't belong here in the SOUTH !!!!
  4. Tacky - Tacky - Tacky You say tacky like you were just supposed to get in at the last minute. There are already four teams involved. Get over it. From what i heard from a friend who is on staff at CHS, they tried to make it work and may still try to get there up there with somebody. But this four way has been scheduled for several months now. If anything you all are being tacky crying over it. You best take care of things in Columbus, Ohio and we will take care of things here in Middle Tennessee.
  5. M AC not coming - SC to Cookeville @ TTU - Cook,Knox Bearden, Lavergne & SC @ 6:00 Man, I hope our little ole 2A school doesn't get lost in the shuffle with 3 5A schools.

  7. Wow, I detect some animosity here. Hey Croz, somewhere down the line Coach Marshall stepped on grizzs' toes. Ouch !! Wonder why he doesn't tell us how he really feels?
  8. Please, please tell me you are getting,or got you education OUTSIDE the Smith County School System. He's attended both schools in the county, so it really looks bad on us. Don't think he has even started yet
  9. Got to give D1 credit, he really provides info. on DC. Wish we all had a D1 to give info. on our teams.
  10. Not an owls fan as my name may suggest. Im all Cannon County. Wont find a sporting event that i dont attend. Sorry for the confusion No problem #1, we at SC just like your username
  11. They are brothers and yes they are not only good.athletes but are fantastic kids.
  12. Y Well supporter I guess I have to agree with you.
  13. CPA, I didn't get to go to the scrimmage, but you have a valid point. I know the coaches are aware of this situation, possibly trying to find that person to help at this position. No doubt, he is the best athlete back there and adds so much to our pass defense. I sse your point though.
  14. My my spypie - are we getting a little testy? Spypie???????? Be careful Scoot. First mistake. You asked a simple question of a CC supporter relating to a Football thread, probably expecting a simple answer. Second mistake. Expecting the answer to be from owl1. Third mistake. Not Spypie.............Pattypeepers. See, if you were a football fan in Cannon Co. you would be testy too. Yea, I guess Pattypeepers has his pannies in a wad because CC hasn't beat SC since he was born - also, his hero, Coach Mayfield, is no longer there.

  16. Owls 1, now your user name suggest you are an Owls fan but your posts reflect you are a Lions fan How can a Lion fan be Owl 1
  17. Howdy, Scott Murray, Colts head coach, is from Smith County and played football here. Outstanding TB and LB. He went on to Cumberland and played football there Owls (2A) / Colts (5A) - Yep, lot more athletes for the Colts. Been there and done that before though.
  18. Is retired long-time coach Larry Davis still in the area and is he now coaching anywhere?
  19. Muffin, I'm like you, I can't seem to find out who the new coach is. Learned a lot about the dam and other features about Clay Co., but not the coach
  20. Cat you are right. Winning promotes healing toward interest in the program. I have thought about the LA program a lot as to where the program was a few years ago by winning the Gold Ball and where the program is now. Multiple changes in coaching, possible not as much talent, tough schedule and number of wins the past three years have had a very negative effect on the program. Maybe a stable coaching staff and a less demanding schedule will get more W's for the Cats. We at Smith Co. wish you good luck with the exception of 09/04.
