I think after the coaches dissect the film of the scrimmage much will be gained. Mistakes ? yes - positive points ? yes - alignment of player/position? yes - correctable items ? yes. I feel with the youth of this team, time-reps-weight program will mesh with the speed of the players and by the first game you will see the "reloaded" product.

You know Termite,, it seems like we usually have someone step up in situations like this i.e vs. Gordonsville a few years when we had to go with our 4th tailback and he rushed for 200 + yards. Hopefully our guys will respond similarly this (next) year.

Lucas has really worked hard to get in shape and build his body for next year. I hate it for him that he has this injury. I wish him the best and a speedy recovery. Alcoa has a great program and will only get better with Coach Rankin. You folks in Alcoa also need to realize the job that Coach Rankin does in the administration aspect of the total school. This is from a Smith County person who saw first hand what he did in his home town. Not only did he completely turn the football program around but discipline improved in the school by leaps and bounds. Also while here at Carthage, Coach Rankin started the "All-Academic" banquet to honor the top students. Guess who paid for this banquet? That's right - the athletic dept.

I think after the players get get some reps at the position coaches put them, they will respond as expected.
