Louisville Male High School in KY will be hosting the First Annual Michael Herchenrader Jr. Memorial Tournament on January 20th, 2018. We are looking to do a 12 to 16 team Individual Bracketed Tournament that is and will become one of the best tournaments in the State of Kentucky and Bordering States. We are looking for Varsity Teams Only (No mixed teams or B-Teams). The 2010 Five Star Classic hosted by Lafayette HS in Lexington, KY has some openings for the upcoming tournament on January 16th, 2010. Our tournament is known for its good competition, good hospitality, and competitive format. The format will be two pools of eight teams broken into sub-pools of four teams. Teams will wrestle the other three teams in their sub-pool in Rounds 1-6. After a short break, the individuals with the best record or criteria (see attached) at each weight will come out of each sub-pool to wrestle the other sub-pools in their main pool of eight teams in a semifinals match (Round 7). The winners of Round 7 will wrestle each other in a Finals match (Round 8) to determine the Champion and the losers of round 7 will wrestle for third place (Round 8). The individuals with the second best record or criteria (see attached) at each weight will come out of each sub-pool to wrestle the other sub-pools in their main pool of eight teams in a consolation semifinals match (Round 7). The winners of Round 7 consolations will wrestle each other in a consolation finals match (Round 8) to determine fifth place and the losers of round 7 consolations will wrestle for seventh place (Round 8). It is a very good day of wrestling in which you are guaranteed three matches and your better kids will get five. Please let me know if you would like a spot.
