  1. Dude what is it with you. Granted, Greenback is a heck of a team and could compete with nayone in the state, but seriosuly, why do you even post this? Just because Coalfield, possibly the best team out of the playoffs in the east, if not the whole state, is out doesn't mean you should get on here and hate on us. Don't think it is a hate thing. Sad thing is penny he may be right. While Oneida played Greenback the best of all opponents this year, it is pretty much fact that it is hard to beat good teams two times in a season. As for Midway upsetting CAK, probably the only upset here will be the CAK fans leaving loosers. Midway is seeded higher than CAK they're supposed to beat them. CAK is going to be doing the upsetting of the homecrowd at Midway. I just don't see CAK winning this one but I could be wrong God knows I have been many times befor. I normally wouldnt agree with CMS because he is stupid but he is right about CAK losing to Midway, and I still think that Greenback defeats oneida. I have nothing against them I just dont think that they can go to Greenback and defeat them a second time. Just not happening in my book. And as far as CAK goes I think that they have gotten lucky 1 two many times. Looks like u were right about Greenback, but u were definitely wrong about CAK. and i dont believe it was luck that got them the W. Yeah, I was wrong because I went against my original premise, it is hard to beat teams two times in one season. I don't believe in luck but CAK lives and dies by one point in the last four games. That is somewhat interesting. We'll see what Greenback does with them remembering they were mad about the Oneida regular season loss. They may be mad about the close game CAK played. But using the original premise about beating teams twice in the same year, the Nation may have their hands full. Coach Young has had the time and opportunity to watch CAK film to see where they went wrong, and the Oneida film to see what they did correctly. If CAK wins it will probably be by one point. i agree with you on this one, this is a very good greenback team, whoever wins it will be close, and even if it makes me a little older a little faster i hope it's by one point. im pullin for CAK for another upset. geez this quote box is gettin massive. Sorry, I started it, maybe it should stop here. ....... Nah... HEY I started it and I dont want it to stop. I was wrong about CAK this week but I think I am going to go against them again this week I think that Greenback has and edge on them, but who knows what will happen. In football the unthinkable will happen. well as was said above it is hard for a team to beat another team twice. Greenback has a little momentum after stomping oneida, but just as applicable to the statement before, oneida beat greenback first. Greenback beat CAK first, and it was by a last minute td, im kinda glad ur pullin against 'em again this week, it bode well last week for CAK and i hope it does again this week. CAK by 1! (naturally) Well I must continue.....CAK has talent and are very good, Greenback also very physical...this one is going to go to the team who comes out throwing leather..................Pennyplay Im running with my half. by "the team coming out throwing leather" do you mean CAK, or do you just mean whichever team comes out throwing? i cant help but let a smile creep upon my face if you actually mean you might be calling for CAK to win. I know its probably time to stop the madness, but I just wanted to add to the gigantic quote for my own laughs and giggles. ACCARP
  2. I agree with OS91, Alcoa will not put up 44 points against one of the region's toughest defenses. Last years Sweetwater team could not even do that. No, Alcoa can and probably will put up points but I don't think it will be over 28 even in a win. ACCARP
  3. This, of course is subject to change, but... 1A- Boyd Bucannan over DCA. 2A- Lipscomb over Milan. 3A- Austin East over Crocket County 4A- Hillsboro over Maryville 5A- Riverdale over Germantown ACCARP
  4. Alcoa 6, you must know very little about OS' offense because they NEVER run the Wing-T offense. Once again, let me make something obvious, Alcoa HAS improved since week 2, but then again, so has OS. If Alcoa can hold Hayes, Kyle, Lamb, and Whalen to under 50 yards a peice, as well as, contain Mendez, Kyle, and Collett to very few catches like they did in week 2, they will win. If OS can contain Lindsay, because they CAN'T stop him, keep a rush on Feigler, and hold #1 to very few catches unlike they did in week 2, they could win. There is little to no advantage in home field this week. Both teams should be ready to play. The rumor is, that Russel Morgan tore his calf muscle. I have not heard anything different yet. I have no prediction yet because I want to see how things develop throughout the week, so I will have one on Thursday or Friday. ACCARP
  5. With injuries to slow down Booker, the advantage will go to DB; however, I believe that OR really wants this one and obviously has the personel to pull it off. So I say it goes a little something like this. If OR can get the ground game going, they will win by 8. If they can't, they will lose by 14. I believe that they will and they will advance to the semi's to play riverdale. OR by 8 ACCARP
  6. Very good news. Way to go Ryan. ACCARP
  7. If I had to pick now i would say that Lipscomb would win off of experience. However, that won't decide the game. So right now... its too close to call. ACCARP
  8. Fulton definitly has a good team, but then again so does AE. This will be a good one to watch. I say AE by 2. ACCARP
  9. yeah, definitly good luck to smith county. I hope they win 3a. ACCARP
  10. rkwd, you have some issues bud... Anyway, back to the topic, The first time Os and Alcoa played, OS threw 2 passes for like 12 yards. They have developed that a little more. Alcoa seems to have gotten better at every aspect of the game. OS may or may not be missing a big part of their line due to injury. Does anyone know the status of Morgan? ACCARP
  11. This time, I say Maryville takes care of business; this is where they are their best. Maryville by 13. ACCARP
  12. I would like to say congrats to CAK. They have proved me wrong. Nicely done. However, pending a victory in the 3rd round over Greenback, they will not advance any further because of one of two brick walls called South Pitt or Boyd. Nothing against CAK, all they can do now is prove me wrong. ACCARP
  13. Alright, I didn't want to do it but I'm going to have to. I'm calling the upset tonight. I say that Rockwood wins by about 10 points. The only reason I'm calling it is because I think that some, if not most, OS players minds will be elsewhere. I'm not saying its their fault, but it seems to me (after talking to a bunch of them) that they are not overly focused on football. I truly hope that I am wrong, it will be a great trajedy for such a good team to end the season tonight; however, unless I see something different within the next few hours, my opinion will remain the same. Out for now... ACCARP
  14. All I know is: If you stop Nebraska's, Wartburgs, whoever's option game; you stop them. If you stop Texas Tech's, and 2 years ago Boyd Bucannan's passing game; you stop them. If you stop Hillsboro's, and last years OS teams running game, you stop them. So basically what I'm saying is... you have to have a good balance of at least one passing and 1 rushing attack to be really successful. ACCARP
  15. bobericks, i am from OS. What year did you graduate? Just wandering. ACCARP
  16. beethoven, if you only focus on one thing, you will be stopped due to the defense being able to focus on your one talent and prepare like wise. For example- Texas Tech- they have one of the most developed passing attacks, but because of no running game, they are average at best. ACCARP
  17. Why don't you qiut replying to a post in which you do not have anything to say about the topic at hand. I tell you exactly eho cares about the Sweetwater/Alcoa game... the Sweetwater and Alcoa fans, players, coaches, ect. So, in other words you shut up, I don't even know if you play. ACCARP
  18. it shouldn't do much but slow some teams down. This could be a good thing for some and a bad for others. All in all, it shouldn't be all that bad. ACCARP
  19. Thi in no way is criticizing Harriman, but the only place to go from the bottom is up. ACCARP
  20. Maybe so, but now we will never know ACCARP
  21. Couldn't have said it better BBalltn ACCARP
  22. This game will definitly come down to the battle of the trenches. If AC can control that, AE might be in some trouble. We'll see tomorrow. ACCARP
  23. Like I 've said before, both of these teams have their good points. However, I think that AE is just a little bit better in each catagory. If AC comes and gives it all they have, it will probably be close in the end and they could pull off the upset. But as for now, I see AE winning by about 10 or so. ACCARP
  24. I think if Oneida comes to play, they will win. If they have their minds elsewhere, it could be a long night. ACCARP
