  9. Greatest Wrestling Families in TN

    I have only been exposed to wrestling in TN for a couple years now but, in the Clarksville area it doesn't get much better than the Isbell's. They have three outstanding wrestlers ranging from a Senior in high school to a midget wrestler in AAU. They are all outstanding young men and great wrestlers. They also run a club team out at Clarksville High in which the father and the two high schoolers coach. They have done alot for Clarksville in trying to build wrestling back up in the area.

    We started talking about this on another post. I think it will be interesting to see the conversations on the little guys.

    We have some good little guys here in Clarksville that could be in the running at Pee Wee State this year.

  13. AAU Tournament on the 20th of February. Anyone Interested???

    Coaches and Parents,

     

    We are thinking about hosting an AAU tournament in Clarksville on the 20th of February since there are no AAU tournaments in the state on that day. The only problem with this is the fact that the TSSAA High School Individual Tournament is that week in Nashville. This could make the tournament more accessible however for the parents of High School wrestlers competing at State who also have AAU wrestlers. So prior to making a decision I wanted to make sure we are going to have enough wrestlers to make it worth it. So if you would please reply back and let us know tentatively how many wrestlers you think would come from your club, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.

    I know this is a high school board, however many of the club team coaches look at this board.

     

    The flyer that has been posted on the Team Tennesee site has the incorrect times.

    The times are as such:

    Tots and Midgets 7-7:30AM Weigh-in 8:30AM Wrestle

    Bantam and Junior 11:00-11:30AM Weigh-in 12:30PM Wrestle

    Middle School 3:30-4:00 weigh-in 5:00 Wrestle

     

    Come on out and wrestle the best in Middle Tennesee. This is an Open Invitational. All are welcome.
