  1. His name is Grant Saunders and he is 6' 9. He had a bad game against Lavergne but he continues to show great progress. Go BGA
  2. The you tube tape of Michael Johnson is also very impressive.
  3. I also think C. J. Beatheard from BGA is the player to watch. He had a good season after taking over the quaterback duties midway during the season. He will lead BGA to a State Championship before he graduate. He has a good group of returning receivers. The offensive and defensive line should be improved due to alot of injuries this past year. They are losing some great seniors, but the young guys are battle tested and ready to take their place in history.
  4. Joshua Smith BGA should be a lock for All -State CB. He led Divison II-AA with 5 interceptions and 11 breakups. I'm bias because he is my son but he had a great year. Good luck to everyone who makes All -State, it is a great honor but not all great players win All-State. Stay focus, play hard and have fun.
  5. Dont know the starters for BGA as of now, but they should be improved from last year. The first game is against Centennial. Good luck to both team. Go Wildcats.
  6. Well spoken Hoopmaster. Have a great day and see you on the field. Nothing personal just trying to keep it real.
  7. Hello Matt I'm not trying to get into a pissing contest with you at all. Yes I do know first hand how BA treats it student athletes so there. I have alot of friends who attend BA. I'm not trying to bash the school at all just think that they can do a better job with the students that represent their fine school. Just my opinion on what some of my friends have told me. Don't have a hard attack.
  8. You have done it how, you tried to hurt my feeling but then I remembered we are at BGA because 100% of our student athletes attend college. We win at life. Sports is a way to enjoy your high school years not something you want to have on your mantle, State champions but what after that. Yes I must agree with you BA has done a great job at winning championships and have a great tradition. I can't agrue with that, but at what cost to the student. Let me know when they really care about their student athletes. With all the State championships how many kids have gone Division 1, lets be real eveyone wants to win but we are winning in the classroom and i hope BA is as well. BGA cares about the student first and foremost and as a parent what more can you ask for your child.
  9. Hello HoopMaster did you say middle of the pack. Please dont insult BGA like that. This is a new Era get use to it. The domination is over. Yes your freshman are okay but you have to play the game. This is not middle school any more, just because you might be bifgger than other kids dont compute to wins. BGA will make a believer out of you, so get on the band wagon now and save yourself some heart ache later. Good day until next time.
  10. I hope you are correct about Cole Harrison. He is a great kid with alot of expectations because of his size. I hope he can fullfill all of his dreams. Go BGA
  11. Thanks for the correction on MBA being Co- Champs you are absolutely correct. I was at the championship game and Connerly from Father Ryan had no help as Ensworth won the State Championshipbehind the outstanding play of Jefferson.
  12. I do agree with you Hoopmaster when you talk about tempo. It's very critical to all aspects of sports. I believe Jordan will be up for the challenge. Weldon and Jordan have known each other since age 5 or 6. Both played on the same baseball team at Una. Our famililes are close friends. I went to college with his mother and father. Weldon is a hand full and will be challenging guarding him but he has to guard Jordan as well. I hope this turn out to be a great competition for the love of the game. Friends off the court, business on the court. Have a great week. Okay MBA and Ensworth should be the front runners since Ensworth being defending State champs although they lost a ton of talent, and MBA being co-champs. But remember you still have to play the game. Let the games begin!
  13. Good morning HoopMaster. I hope you are having a great day. I just wanted to let you know that yes BGA has as much talent as MBA and Ensworth and yes we will beat BA this year. The conference is wide open may the best team win. This is a tremendous conference and well balanced. I'm looking forward to the season. Until next time go CATS, beat those Eagles. Cole Harrison will be an all-state selection before his BGA days are over. He is my guy.
  14. Hello Hoopmaster. I did not ordain the 6 feet 9 inch young player an all-state selection. I do think however that he needs to work hard to become a better player. But we have another 6 feet 9 inch player that is progresing as well. What i said was that we would be much improved due to our team work unselfish mentality and yes the younger players which we have several and some names are included in the previous post. Many high school teams don't have two 6 feet 9 inch players. So if they come around and fullfill their potential. Everyone better look out because the Cats are going to be roaring. Have a great day and give the kids a break, they are only young and learning the game. Thanks again for your comments and have a great day, Good luck to your team this season.
  15. I think the team will be much improved if the coach play the younger guys. We will have two 6 Feet 9 inch post players, one a freshman Cole Harrison and the other a junior Grant Saunders. Marco will probably not play due to earning a baseball scholarship to Duke University. Tyler Shellnut with his high energy level will help and timely shooting. His brother Gavin who is a freshman could be a sleeper. He is a great shooter and excellent all around player. Joshua Smith is steady on defense but must score. W. T White must defend and rebound. He has a great shooting stroke and must shoot the ball. Nolan has gotten bigger and is expected to be a bruiser around the basket. Josh Copleland must compete and show his senior leadership. Jack Clendenin is my x-factor, he is always around the ball and in the right place. The floor general should be Jordan Smith an unselfish point guard that need to score and rebound. I'm a little bias since he is my son. He has excellent basketball skills and should be a all region pick as a sophomore. We have other role players that will help us win as a team. Go BGA
