Who are the teams playing at Dyer County in the Classic? There have been some good teams in recent years.

Powell and Johnson went nowwhere. Both had Juco scholarships, but never went to the school. Powell at Lincoln Trial, IL and Johnson at Northwest Mississippi. Morris was going to walk on at UTM. No sure that ever happened. Too bad I think they each had the talent to get their education for free. Powell had the talent with hard work to play Division 1 and maybe in the NBDL or NBA. We will never know.

Ridgeway loses in region final.

DC's best chance ever was last year. This years team was no were near as talented as last. Brian Fisk should win AA Mr. Basketball. He carried this team all year. There were some coaching issues and focus issues. No way should a team with their talent only score 9 points vs. Haywood in the first half. 3 in the second quarter. They were not ready to play! You cannot do that with a very good team like Haywood. The DC fans that know basketball realize the talent is not there in the near future to return to a high of a level for many years. They might compete in the district, but once you run into the regional teams then the Memphis teams you have to be special. These runs a few and far between for schools the size of DC and area they pull talent from.

Dyer County is out. Beaten by Haywood last night.

Think DC peaked to soon? They are slumping at the wrong time. The region will be strong and we most likely will play Ripley first game. Hope this time is better than the last. Who was district MVP?

TSSAA has been punished DC by taking there money by not allowing postseason tournaments at the new school. This takes revenue from the school,county and the taxpayers. I do not see how TSSAA has the power to take away taxpayers money. I am sure there is a group of lawyers that would love to represent DC? The TSSAA has not fared so well in court resently. Also, the timing is interesting way to attempt to get DC to focus on items other than their games. I would love to see DC win the gold ball and ask Carter to come out a polish it for them. These guys are clueless in ruling the TSSAA. Let's take them to court!!!!!

When are the Mr. Basketball votes submitted? I understand it is before the post season. If so, who should win?

Are you certain that DC cannot host the substate if they win the region? I thought the penalty was only for last year? Last I read in the CA was Stiggers had not been given the ok by the TSSAA. If he has then both BTW and Ridgeway will be very strong and favorite's to beat DC to get to Murfreesboro DC will go as far as Brian Fisk can take them.

It"s a dead issue. The Brentwood court ruling and Sam Miles will make it go away. Dyersburg does not want to volaions thye have to come out.

I hear that Sam Miles has decided for this to go away as a deal that the numerous infractions by Dyersburg are not made public. Also the TSSAA lost the Brentwood case and does not need another court case that they would lose. Time to move on to the post season. DC should not and will not support Dyersburg as long as Miles is at the school. All future games in all sports should be canceled between the two schools.

Did not see the stats on the Crockett game on 1/21. Does anyone have the numbers?

Also have seen him play and Brian is a better all around player at this point. He could play in Div 1 if giving the opportunity. If Brian maintains his recent play and DC finishes the season strong he should be the AA Mr. Basketball. As far as I know Sam Miles cannot influence that vote.

If Brian can maintain the pace he has set he should be the AA Mr. Basketball. A big factor will be how DC continues the season and into in the post season. Any update on Hopkins return? I had heard the final ruling would be this week.
