well, i guess my question has been answered--chiefs again looking for a new coach.  someone in stevenson said that the chiefs this year were worse than the 1968 0-10 team at stevenson.  does anyone else agree with that assessment?   so who will be the next coach?

so what now for the chiefs after a disappointing 2-8 season?  do we get another new coach, recruit some players, or what?

well, so much for the McKinney's; they got outta dodge faster than they arrived. the official story is that McKinney's wife would not move to the north Jackson area. that does not add up because McKinney took another coaching job almost immediately, and that job is not all that close to where he and his wife lived either. anyone know the real story here? did McKinney take a look and the chiefs and decide that they were "done" as a football powerhouse? and if so why would he not accept the challenge to get em back to form?

well, it is official--david mckinney is the new head football coach at north jackson; sounds like a good choice to me--does anyone know who the other 15-20 applicants were?

i saw last night that peek is gonna be the football coach at pisgah; i realize that pisgah is where he went to school, but still no answer as to why a coach with an excellent record would want to leave north jackson. it would be kinda like saban leaving bama to coach at kentucky. what is the real story here?

what is wrong with the chiefs this year--i mean, they still have an excellent record with only three losses, but three losses at this point in the season is not what you would expect.

it was 13-7-----the only game the panthers lost that year on their way to the svc title.

How do y'all see this game? Can Guntersville defeat North Jackson twice in one season; not many teams have ever done that against NJ. I think NJ will take this one.

Does North Jackson recruit players to move to the area to play football, and do most other football powerhouses do the same thing? whatever happened to the guy from louisiana who came to north jackson to play but could not get eligible? i can't remember his name, but he went with ali sharief to alabama, but later disappeared. incidentally my understanding is that sharief didn't go to auburn because they wanted him to play defense and sharief wanted to play offense. so he goes to alabama and ends up playing defense. what's up with that?

i am confused--the coach t scoreboard says brooks won this game 36-19, but the north jackson website says north jackson won and advances to the second round against guntersville. so who won??

North Jackson lost this game bevause of a particular call by the officials; it is my understanding that the officials called a pass interference on the chiefs in the fort payne backfield, which as i understand it, is not possible. is this what really happened, and have the officials been reprimanded?
