Results from saturdays game. Parkview: 1 McCallie: 0 Parkview scored about midway through the 2nd half off of a corner kick in a well played match by both teams.

Result from Friday's game McCallie: 3 Grissom: 1 McCallie plays their first complete game of the season and gets the desired result against the #1 team in Alabama. McCallie gets on the board first with a scrappy goal 8 minutes into the game by Chris Love. Grissom equalizes in the 2nd half off of confusion in the box. McCallie gets the go ahead goal with about 15 minutes to go off of a beautiful play by freshman Joel Bradford. With about 1 minute and a half to go in the game McCallie got another goal by Joel Bradford off of the counter attack after Grissom had pushed a lot of their players into the offense third to get the equalizer. It was a hard fought game. McCallie vs. Parkview tomorrow (saturday) at 4:00.

Without a doubt the two losses in knoxville were disappointing. Obviously the one against Bearden being more so. And excuses could be made as to why we lost 3-0 but the point is we just didn't come out with the same intensity we had the night before. We were flat and they were able to capitalize on their chances, while we were not. Although i do think that we played them fairly even throughout the entire match. Hopefully we will be able to learn from the game and perform better in our tournament this weekend. We play hendersonville, Parkview (#1 team in Georgia and #6 in nation), and Grissom (#7 team in the nation coming out of alabama). I think we have incredible potential, but as PSAfour pointed out we just haven't put it together yet. Legolas hinted at it as well in a previous post, we have glimmers of great play but have yet to put a solid 80 minutes together. I think that will come with time and experience. I think playing great teams such as Farragut, CBHS, Parkview, Grissom, as well as others will help us out in the long run. Only time will tell.

2-1 or 1-1?? Can anyone give an official result along with DETAILS of the match? If McMinn did in fact win that would be quite a statement.

CCS: 2 CSAS: 0

I can only assume at this point in time that CBHS is the stronger team. A lot will be decided when CBHS and McCallie face off in the Bearden tournament Friday April, 2nd at 8:00. It should be a great game with a lot being said as to how much of a power CBHS really is in DII. Could be interesting if McCallie comes out of there with a win off of the defending state champs at a neutral site.

I think Christian Brothers is supposed to play Farragut 3/20, which is this coming saturday, at 7:00. any thoughts on the game? how does christian brothers look so far this year?

i was told that he partially tore his ACL this past winter playing indoor. However, he was there during the McCalllie- Farragut game. Must have healed quickly. He's a good player.

Division II east region: As early as the end of last year it has been apparent that Knox Catholic, Baylor, and McCallie would all have good programs this year. Who, however, will end up on top?

And that is probably why McCallie is not scrimmaging them tomorrow

lemmiwinkss, Actually, i think that around 15 states play soccer during the spring. Many states actually play in the winter as well. Fall does have the most overall but it is not overwhelming. Therefore, i don't think you can take away all of what Farragut earned last year.
