Rule it a tie for both teams or play the game tomorrow.  No contest- give me a break, that is every kid gets a trophy crap.   I would have to think G-ville would have been pushing to finish the game or find a way to play this weekend,

This sounds like a TSSAA thing. It may be they are required to rule it that way. I am sure both of these teams were chomping at the bit to finish. Greeneville relies on their non-conference schedule to get them battle ready.

Barney's solution to this mess. Both teams meet halfway at Carson Newman either Saturday or Sunday. Both teams have enough time to rest for next week. Play during day so no expense for lighting and good chance to find officials. Don't tell me it can't be done because Alcoa and Maryville played Sunday on ESPN that time. Both AD's get this worked out asap this morning. This was a game both teams and fans waited forever for. Do the right thing.

Dude, if you can get ESPN to foot the bill, then I am sure we can find a way to make this happen.

You do realize  that Alcoa hadn't  scored a single  point the first half offensively  right ?. No one knows for sure what would  have  happened  the rest of the way. I felt like Alcoa had some momentum  going  finally.  But that can all change on one play. I am not going  to pretend  to be nostradomus and say I know  this  or that was going  to happen.  It's  high school football  anything  could  have  happened.  I do know  Greeneville  was their  own worse enemy  with the holding call that brought back a Touchdown  and a bad decision  on a pick six from your own 1. I think Greeneville  Dominated  the first quarter  and I think Alcoa  out played them the 2nd up until  the time the storm came. Two Good  Football  Teams. As far as playing  tomorrow.  J believe  one reason  it was a Thursday  Game  is because  of the refs shortage  local  teams or required  to play one Thursday  game  to help the situation.  This  was Greeneville's Thursday  Game  I am sure the referee crew has a game  somewhere  else tomorrow  night. Plus hate to say it but in the 10 day forecast  to here scattered  thunder storms for for Friday  , Saturday  and Sunday

It is unlikely that anything you say will change this dude's mind.

Many schools dont have radio stations to broadcast their  games and rely on streaming to get their games out there. If your school were to  deny my schools  broadcast entity the ability to bring a game to our fans live, Id be inclined to return the favor to your radio broadcast the next year. It is just wrong for any school to be so petty  to not allow another school the ability to have a game broadcast live back to their fans.

I can download an app and listen to most local radio stations. I live in Knox County now and listen to Greeneville games on WGRV via Tunein.  Your previous comment said Greeneville denied visiting media the right to broadcast.  That is not entirely true. They do not allow live video streaming. It is their policy and it is applied with equity.  Perhaps your schools broadcast entity should be in an audio format.

Well alot of field before us before this game. I think the Mavs will need review film then brainstorm what ifs and review more film if I were them. Greeneville solid showing they could beat DB by 1 point. The Mavs have an incredible passing game that just barley showed up tonight and I know they are kicking thereselvs. I seen Top Gun Martinez and he was not happy at all. The Mavs need to keep OL healthy and hungry. We all should know something about Greeneville and Mo. West, Betsy and DB. Mavs are playing at home. This is my Dream team! One week to go and we will know. I assume 99.9 percent are betting on Greeneville so the Mavs are the Underdog, to say the least.

Pretty sure you say every year that its your dream team

Every time anyone scores against you guys you claim it's a fluke. Was the beat down game 1 last year a fluke. Was your close loss the 2nd time around a fluke? You guys make more excuses than any other fans on here. Figured your 4 losses within the last 2 years would have humbled you some. You guys did to us this year what we did to you last year. However the 2nd game was much closer and I'll die on this hill but I feel this second game will be a lot closer than 3 tds everyone is predicting. If it isn't then I'll accept the loss no excuse but if EHS win what's the over/under on excuses from you lot? You people dissappear for 2 years then all of sudden you are contenders again you rediscover coach t.

First, nobody should ever be called "you people". Show me where any coacht devil fans have disappeared...ever. We will stand by our boys no matter what. You may very well be right about it being closer than 3 TD's but you will never get some of us to agree...it's in the DNA. Go Greene!!!!

PB & J is not expensive and I know coaches who provide kids with food all year long.  It is part of coaching in metro (Shelby, Davidson and Knox Counties) if the coaches truly care.  I would assume PC does some of this too.

it's the same in rural areas as well. Plenty of families live paycheck to paycheck everywhere. I kind of resent that anyone thinks poverty is exclusive to metro areas. If metro coaches have a challenge it is providing a safe environment for their players to grow.

It doesn’t matter how you slice it, PC is the gold standard of metro football. Numbers don’t lie! Far as winning the state the day to day nonsense our coaches go tho, I’m not surprised we can even get out the second round let alone go to state like we have. Alcoa’s of the world don’t have to worry about if their kids have ate when at home, or miss practice to watch little brother or sister. All they have to do is coach so you can’t compare the two!!!

I don't understand this post at all. Alcoa has kids playing from all kinds of backgrounds. Kids from every public school in this state have issues that every coach has to worry about. Schools in East Tn have the same problems middle and west do. Kids from low income , single parent households are not exclusive to metro areas either. I have fed kids before games when I know it's the best they have eaten all week and sent plates home for their families. I know kids that have had to miss practice to cut hay or other family things. Upper east Tennessee kids. Knoxville has lost promising young athletes this year to gun violence and this is what you got? East Tennessee privilege? PUHLEEZZZ...

Figure I should post Bishop's updated numbers:

    • Rushed for 215 yards on 43 carries against LC (2 rushing TDs and 1 TD passing)
    • Through 7 games, he has 2,034 yards on 266 carries (7.6 yards per carry, 290 yards per game), 117 yards receiving, 18 rushing TDs, 2 receiving TDs, and 1 passing TD
    • At least 4 games remaining (Halls, OR, Clinton, playoff opponent)

Tough road to hoe, but we'll see what happens over the next month. OR and Clinton both have pretty solid defenses. If Karns gets knocked out in the first round of the playoffs, he'd have to average 331 yards per game to break the single season record. He'd need 44 carries per game to break the season record for carries.

He is averaging 38 carries /game. There are entire teams that aren't averaging that. Greeneville is averaging 42 offensive plays per game...that's total offensive plays for the team. I would not doubt he will get the opportunity to break this record but at what cost. He is the sole breadwinner for Karns and as he goes, so goes the team. That is what happens when you put all of your eggs in 1 basket.  I hope he stays healthy enough to accomplish great things for his team.
