played well defensively, gave up one pass on 4th and 12(a bonehead play) and one of our corners had a pick in his hands and let the receiver take it away for a score! offense struggled and gave up 9 pts! We will get it sorted out offensively this week! Defensively we will continue to play physical and run to the ball! Hope it translates to a win this week! A change in the jamboree... CHS will play Montgomery Central and Kenwood will play Cheatham Co. This is as of this afternoon!

Mt Pleasant played kenwood's jv because cascade backed out at the last moment! yes thye could have scored a 100, but they were playing mostly 9th and 10th graders! mt pleasant will be tough again!

Mt Pleasant plays Kenwood's Jv's and Kenwood's varsity plays spring hill at 830 or 900!

tennesseerunner, although i am flattered by the team rankings, ROSSVIEW HS should be way higher than us! They have beaten us all year whre we have gone head to head! They have a great 4x400 team and a great 4x800 team as well. They have Lynette Rives who may well win the 100/200 at the state meet! Now lets talk about Brentwood HS, they should be way higher than us as well! I predict that Brentwood will win the state meet for the 4th year in a row! Any takers out there! They have way to many horses! Thanks for the kudos for our team, but we are young with many 9th and 10th graders, small 14 kids, but competitive! I give my vote for brentwood and rossview! Mac!

Cheatham county scrimmages kenwood on the 6th of may not fairview!

Portland, Springfield, Clarksville, Kenwood, Mt Juliet, Beech, NW, then Rossview! You never know how this region will end up! Portland is very well coached by Roger Perry and will be tough just like White House was. Springfield has a lot of kids back, but all depends on the Qb if he can return from injury... Clarksville got a taste of the playoffs last year and will be tough, but fink is tough to replace...Kenwood will be a team that I think should do well...they have been playing at the 5A level and should do well this year at the 4A level... Don't know about Mt. Juliet, but have heard they lost a bunch oh kids...Beech has a new coach, but i have heard they did well in their spring ball... Nw lost a bunch of kids who were very productive for them the last 3 years... Rossview has new coaches and should improve this year! this is my take on the region

I know that Kenwood HS is having a meet with 7 other teams this weekend. Are there any other midstate events taking place this weekend or around the state! I believe that at Kenwood, there will be dickson co, NE, NW, Rossview, Franklin, Antioch, and McGavock teams. Hope whomever has a meet will call in their results to local papers! Rossview looks to win this on the girls side and the boys side could be a toss up! I might add, that at Kenwood, all events will receive medals up thru 8th place. Not sure any other meets can say this!

Brandy Williams from Kenwood, ran a 59.5 yesterday in a scrimmage in cold weather from lane 1! She should be one of the top 400 runners in Class AAA this year! Not too bad for this early in the year!

Crille, i do not know what match you were watching last night, but i was there from start to finish and Coach Masters shook everyone's hand! Obviously you are a biased individual! Rossview just plain beat Kenwood last night! Masters makes no excuses for that! I do recall the Liberatore kid slap at Coach Masters hand after his match! Wrestling is what it is! Why does Rossview have to bash Masters and our school all the time? I really wonder if Rossview will have the same intensity and hatred to Clarksville High that you have towards Kenwood. After all, isn't CHS one of the schools that Rossview's kids came from? Crille get a life, and QUIT HATING! Mac!

Thanks for the compliments from all! I have been at Kenwood since it opened and it is tough to coach where your roster can change from year to year and not because of seniors leaving! We have a director of schools and school board members that rezone all the time! The last 4 years we have been at 5A level with 4A numbers! the TSSAA did not take in to consideration that rossview was opening and they rejected our appeals! So we have suffered thru some lean times. I do believe that with us moving back to 4A, we can compete again. I feel for Northeast as they will be in the same situation we were in 4 years ago. As far as Yelkovich and Lumpkin, they are 2 of a number of people that i went with 3 years ago as freshman! We will have a senior dominated defense this year, but we have some great sophs and juniors backing them up! Lumpkin in my opinion is a D1 prospect! yelkovich could play at the 1-AA level! both are important to both sides of the ball! Hopefully we can get back to the playoffs and make a run like we did in 1999 with will martin and gang!

why isnt clarksville high coming to this tourney?

Cedric, when carryingthe ball you need to have 7 points of contact on the ball! You are a great runner! i just want to seeyou do well! i have seen you lots of times on film and coached against you! Cover the nose of the ball and cover it went when you get hit! You will have a career at the next level! remember what they said about travis stephens he was too small! I do not think that about you! You are a hard runner! Mac!

I dont coach in this region but i will say this....OUT OF ALL THE TEAMS WE HAVE PLAYED IN THE REGION, NORTHEAST HAS SOME PLAYERS ON THAT DEFENSE THAT SHOULD BE MENTIONED HERE. #15 AND #90 AND #55 ARE AS GOOD AS I HAVE SEEN THIS YEAR! and cedric runs the ball well, however we shut him down to 65 yards and not the 81 his coaches said he had! might be the only game he did not rush for 100 yards! cedric, 7 points of contact is what i will say to you! MAC!

because they will stay with the metro school! henry co is going to west tennessee! how bout some others comment on this!
