  1. I'm a Central fan but I'm going with Page 28-14. Central's pass defense is suspect but Page doesn't pass much. If Central could keep their offense on the field and eat the clock as much as they did against Creekwood they could pull the upset. In the end I think Page will take this one. Good Luck Indians.
  2. I say Page is a little much for Central, but I hope they will prove me wrong again. Central just seems to not give up at all, except for the good ole country butt whupin that Greenbrier put on us. What type of passing team is Page?
  3. Central impressed me tonight. I thought Creekwood would be too much for Central. Central controlled the ball most of the game with Creekwood only entering Central territory a few times. Central had the ball inside the 15 twice with the score tied 7-7 in the first half and come away with 0. Conbine that with 2 close missed fieldgoals and Creekwood still was in the game. This game could have easily been a blowout but Creekwood hung around. Hats off to Central for you never stop fighting attitude. Great Job!
  4. Boxhead is an idiot. He shows his ignorance every time he makes a post. He has no sports knowledge whatsoever. Central will have a good season but winning out is not realistic. Beating Page or Greenbrier would be a great accomplishment for a building program, but beating them both would be next to impossible.
  5. Greenbrier is very tough at home. Central will have to control the turnovers and catch some breaks to beat Greenbrier. Central is playing inspired football right now and teams do have a history of overlooking Central, but Greenbriers team is very physical and have some quality players. I'm picking Greenbrier 31-20. Central has proved me wrong so far this year and I'll be glad to say I was wrong if they do it again this week. Take it to em Central.
  6. What's up Gary? Haven't talked to you since baseball. I hope everyone doesn't think boxhead represents everyone at Central. Every school has their idiots. Everyone knows talk is cheap and that you have to back it up on the field. Central is playing more determined than they have in the past. If they hold turnovers down and the coaches don't make stupid mistakes like fake punting on 4th and 1 on your own end of the field with an 11 point lead with 9 minutes left then they could win some games this year. Central might be able to play with Page or Greenbrier for two to three quarters but with so many players playing both ways it's tough for them to close the deal in the forth quarter. Play the games Boxhead then if you win talk your team up. Nothing wrong with a little crowing if it's intelligent. As far as FvHS Jacket9 saying Central has been down since you beat us 2 years ago makes you as ignorant as boxhead. Central has won numerous District titles in baseball and was 4th in state last year. They also have had pitiful coaching in football for years before this group took over. It takes years to build a good program and Central is showing improvement. Good Luck Central the rest of the year.
  7. Ignorant statement just seem to fly out of your head boy. And yes I have pitched many games in my life. Gunter was feeling great with one days rest and the only torture he felt was watching 10 base hits fly by when he could have been sitting them down. Every player is not of the same caliber when it comes to pitching. Some pitchers can't go on short notice and some can throw150 pitches and be ready with one days rest. This is not early in the season, so what sense did it make if Casey pitched morning or afternoon. I know Casey very well and he would say your an idiot if he read your remarks. I bet I know a head coach that has second guessed himself about a pitching decision whether he or you would admit it or not.

Once again your reading is suffering. I said if Clarksville and Rossview wouldn't play 20 games with their hometeam umpires they might win when it gets tourney time. When you play them home and away and the same umpires are at both places it looks a little funny. I didn't say 20 was all they play boy. When you get used to getting wide stike zones for your pitchers and the majority of the calls you have a hard time when the real umps show up. I do understand I've seen it for many more years than you've been around.
  9. Get a clue punk boy. There wasn't any fans that were happy to see the pitching choice at the first Covington game. You see we know the players and what they're capable of. We do watch them play all year. We know if they're hot or if they're struggling and all of the fans were questioning the decision before the game not after. Before you speak about something you know nothing about you should have a clue or maybe just some sense.

The first point is you don't read very well. I said we have won 80% over the last five years. You faced Cory one time during his junior year when he couldn't hit a house. You never faced Joey Sykes that year and he was our number 1 and you never faced Cory his senior year. So face it you haven't faced our best and the games were still tight. you had the one 10-0 game. do you care to post the other results. But since you have 400 more students and your talent is so much superior to ours the results should be blowouts I'm sure. And one other thing, If you and Clarksville will quit playing 20 games a year with your well kept umpires you might win a few district titles. Funny thing about teams that lose once the umpires are placed randomly by tssaa. Get real boy.

We have won about 80 percent of our games against 5 different AAA schools in our county in the last five years. I quess since we have about 400 less students than our 5 other schools an 80% WINNING PERCENTAGE makes them better than us because their AAA.

I know It's not right Bertier. It shouldn't matter what division your in the media should give equal coverage. The local radio station broadcasts local coverage all year and were lucky to get one game covered. And if we do get covered it's because were playing a local city team. It does give us alot of motivation to beat them though.
  13. I'm not talking about Gunter. He pitched an excellent game the second time Central played Covington. I'm talking about Bradley Jackson in the first game of the day. He game up 10 Hits and 9 Earned Runs in 1 Inning. He gave up 4 runs in the first and 5 in the second without an out. Gunter told the coach before the first game his arm was feeling great. The coach was trying to save both pitchers for the championship game. I feel this was a mistake.
