Who is Springfields head coach?
John Offutt

Gallatin hosts Overton in week 7 on what I believe is Senior Night. Overton is coming off a loss to Hunters Lane, but has a win streak against Gallatin, beating them last year 31-16. Think the Wave has forgotten that? This will be an interesting game, but consider this:
Gallatin has outscored its region opponents (all Metro teams so far) 130-25. Put that together with the revenge factor from last year and Overton could be in for a lot of pain Friday.
Thoughts?
All according if Overtons big play receiver is back from his concussion. That actually make this game close. But if they beat Antioch that bad last night...i really dont think anyone in metro can keep up with em.

I was thinking Warren County as well.

What are the strengths and weakness of these two teams? Who has the best offense, defense, and special teams?
Hunters Lane is known for their speed and running game. Thats their forte. Their passing game has come into play this year alot more...by moving into the shotgun. Defense needs work..the basics of tackling mainly. Had alot of problems with that against Maplewood and Overton. Contained Holt from Maplewood in the first half....but couldnt in the second. Cant stop a good offense with arm tackles. Just doesnt work.
Special teams..as always in metro...isnt great. Kicking game mainly...hard to find a decent punter and place kicker. Yes, you can scout the soccer team for someone..but its a lot harder to kick a football in full pads than a soccer ball. HL lost their kicker to travel soccer... and I dont think they have found a replacement yet.

Springfield is a team that is going under the radar this whole season. Pulled out a close win Friday against Hunters Lane...stopping the Warriors on the 1 yard line on 3rd and 4th down to seal a victory. I see Springfield beating Beech though...SHS has a very improved defense from last year, which will carry them through the rest of the season.

Terrance Holt...Maplewood. Quickest back ive seen in Metro in a good while.

Congrats to Soddy on coming out of the losers bracket to win it all. Also, amazing job by Mt. Juliet for doing so well all season. I believe very few people thought they would make it this far. Amazing job, and im sure they will be a force to deal with next year. Congrats to both teams on great seasons.

This thread has gone far enough....Congrats to the Bruins on their Championship. Locked.

is there any real differences or advantages to having a smaller head on the racket or an oversized?? or is it mostly just a personal preference i have heard that u can get alot more power out of a smaller head, than oversized..i dont know if its true tho
I play tennis for the exercise, so a raquet is a raquet to me...but I would think the bigger the head of the raquet, the more control you would have....similar to golf. Bigger hitting area allows more control. Correct me if im wrong...im interested to hear other opinions.

Well...short stay for JP2...losses 5-4 to Davidson Academy. I had faith that the Lady Knights would do well this year.
Congrats on a good season. To the seniors...Katy, Haley, Mo, and Jen...you couldnt have shown better senior leadership this year. Very proud of all of you, and good luck in your future at college. Very proud of all of you.
