  1. I know Richland has a strong pitcher and we had some close games with them at the end of last season. So whats the scoop on them this season? Look forward to a great game with them. Go Rockets! Go Troops!
  2. This thread started about two girls from small schools that are good basketball players that play a lot alike. The post's from the eagleville fans and Forrest fans praised both girls. Then the spoilers jump in... a bunch of nay-sayers that jump all over this fine message board Picking fights telling everyone this or that girl is no good. They know everything about Basketball and nobody can do anything or become anything without their blessing. These girls aren't pro's making millions they are students that work very hard and put in a lot of time in this sport to make them better rounded as a student and player. If they are rewarded with a scolarship for all this work God Bless Them But just shut up and let them try to be the best they can be as a person. These girls read these posts along with family and friends. What on earth makes you think you are contributing with bitter negative comments about girls you know nothing about or care about. I Would like to thank all the girls in 11A for an exciting season
  3. Anyone that would post on these boards that Knight is a selfish ballplayer couldn't have watched her play or know anything about her. I do agree some of the other players on Forrest are overlooked but Kori just isn't that kind of person or player. As for Karper the only time I have a problem with her is when she is sinking basket's against us! LOL Two great players and girls and a very fun thread I really hadn't noticed how similar they play till this post. Good Luck To ALL The 11A Girls! Collegeplayer you can go back to pulling wings off of flys the B-Ball season is almost over

    Cascade

It not only takes the student to take the game serious but the parents, school and coaches also. The team has to feel close to each other and enjoy their time together in the dugout. Look to Forrest as an example of everyone pulling together. They have put together a winning team of some of the greatest young ladies you could ever want to meet. With backing of the school and the good people of Chapel Hill they play on one of the nicest fields in the state and have a large number of fans at their games. Would love to see Cascade field a good team It will only make the district better. Good Luck To You This Year!
  5. Simply read Macboob's post in this thread and in the past. I rest my case.
  6. When I started this thread it was because I was excited about seeing these two teams play. The first meeting was a good one with Abby and Kori going toe to toe with their different styles. But it seems MC's coach wasn't interested in entertaining me and played a team game with different girls on Kori and attacking our zone defense(That had been working well) from the outside and hitting almost every three they put up. Our girls did a good job up and down the court and getting their shots off but they just didn't drop in. So MC jumped out to a big lead and we just couldn't get anything going. I really enjoyed seeing the bench play against some top talent that helped ease the pain. Sorry i don't have the names of the MC girls that had such a good game against us, they played very good as a TEAM. Our girls just need to get back to practice and work hard. We love you all, Play Hard and Have Fun!
  7. So your the the weasel.......Our hearing is just fine and you showed your class last night just as you show it with your post. You did get real quiet after your remark when a couple of Chapel Hill mothers jumped all over you after your very sad and in poor taste remarks. I know you don't want anyone to know you said those kinds of things. To all the decent people of Moore Co. I have to admitt I was looking forward to a better game My girl was #12 a freshman who played against Abby for much of the night. Abby gave her a couple of good lessons that we talked about after the game and she is a better player for it. Kori and Abby are both great players and Mcbob is just baiting Forrest fans I don't thing Abby would tell you Kori is a pushover I know Kori respects Abby and I hope to see the two of them play again.
  8. Forrest played a good game against Huntland Saturday and I hope they can keep it going tonight at Moore Co. Forrest's coach showed us a new combo on the floor putting in both Slater (freshman) and Jones (senior) that seemed to work well. Keep up the hard work Teri you have some big shoes to fill when Julie leaves. But tonight it should be another Abby/Kori showdown. It was worth the price of admission just to watch these two the last time we played both were great. The girls have their work cut out for them tonight....Go Rockets!!!
  9. Cascade has some hurt players and only have 6 girls and that is a huge hurdle to overcome. but that is just the way it is and they have to deal with it. They didn't lose because of the refs, they lost because they had a couple of girls that couldn't maintain focus and started making dumb mistakes when Forrest started to come back and put pressure on them. Instead of getting mad and acting the fool they should have played the game. They have talent and will be a threat when they get back to full strength. But putting blame on the refs just hides a weakness the coach should address.

I was there at the Field Of Dreams and the students didn't yell swing at all the batters. They were loud and pumped but never yelled at players by name or number or used four letter words. I am sorry that DA didn't bring as many fans as our little school and didn't have as much school spirit. We love and support are school and if you were there did you notice Forrest fans have after several games including this one gave both team standing ovations. We love good ball win or lose. I am sure you are a small minority, what I saw there were good DA Fans.

Lady eagle, You ladies are a fine team and it was a pleasure to play against you in the spring fling. Your post shows you are softball smart, there is a lot more to coaching than just giving a bunt sign.

In hind sight you could say she was out coached but the bottom line is the team that makes the least mistakes wins most of the time. We had more errors and lost, not by much but still lost. If we would have won she would have been a genius for over coming all the mistakes. The coach should know the team and what they can do best so all you can hope for is she's done her job the best she could do.
