Forrest use to have to go through Ezell and Goodpasture just to get to state and they made it to runner up in 2002. We have great girls in basketball and softball. Competing with the privates gave us a much better program. When they kicked the larger privates up to AA Forrest wins a State Championship in Basketball and Softball the first public to win single A in 20 some odd years. If they would have kicked out the privates in single A years ago Forrest may have had a shelf full of Gold balls, and championship titles. But then again without the tough row to hoe we may never have reached the level we expect to play at now. People around the state should look to Marshall Co. ladies sports. They have all three high schools host Sectionals, two make it to State. The A schools don't feed good players to the AA school, all three cities want to beat the other in the worst way. (come to game when they play each other) I think Cornersville has really turned a corner and may be a big surprise to Trinity. But my hope and heart goes to my Lady Rockets defending A State Champions.

Another hard fought win by the Lady Rockets, 5-2, great job ladies but just too exciting for some of your older fans!

Thanks to all the Lady Rockets, sometimes people forget that you are all young ladies that receive no pay for all the hard work and time you put in. So thanks for all your hard work and to all your parents for sharing you with us. And for all the Seniors a quote from Mark Twain. "Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. She must not have broke the rules if she played over 40 TSSAA sanctioned games out in the open with everyone even you knowing about her.

How does a BGA fan like you KNOW everything about this young lady? She isn't 5'11" 175#'s hitting 600 with 20 home runs. She's a nice girl and good player but not key to Forrests team. She was given a raw deal at Culleoka and transfered to Forrest. We took her in as one of the Lady Rockets if you have any thing to back up your claims prove it, bring up charges or shut up.

You think that is funny but that is what a lot of privates do just to make this argument. And that is a fact I know because I work with two fathers of kids that tuition was paid for by someone else and guess what? they were 6th graders....... I don't work with that many people and to personally know two... there must be a lot of this going on. It's easy to see who the athletes are and who the future musicians and top students are by 6th grade. Draft good athletes give them good coaching through middle school and you set up a good team. I'm tired of this public private thing and I really believe some parents at the privates don't know about some of the things done but I've been around this for years and I know what I know. The original question I asked was how many of the players pay their own tuition not when someone else started paying it.

There was a thread earlier this year that explained everything I don't really remember the how's or why's. So little ole Forrest gets a girl from a school that drops her sport and smells fishy..... How many girls at TCS and FCS go on scholarships or the nice mystery benefactor pays the bills.... but thats another thread.

Culleoka disbanded its Softball team, I think their Senior went to Columbia Central and Heather transfered to Forrest.

Hey Cacade11 Nice web page you made for the girls. Saw Ann Mullens on the roster, I thought she was a senior last year her and my daughter butted heads in basketball and softball for a few years going back to middle school. Good Luck to your girls.

I think you would have to start with Forrest at #1. Last year the won every district and district tourney game by a score of something like 133 to 7. Even with the loss of some very good seniors The girls coming up are good and disiplined players. Go Lady Rockets!!

They also held Forrest to just 28 pts. They beat both the silver and gold ball teams from last year I think they may be on a mission...............

Well Forrest is still thinking Basketball right now but next week they will have the girls on the basketball team join up and we should have a pretty good team this year. We lost six very good seniors last year but we have some really good young guns coming up starting with two freshman pitchers I think between them they should keep us in the hunt and our lone senior and outstanding centerfielder Kalah Mathis a left handed power hitter that can drag too. The catcher may just be a sophmore but she started as an eighth grader and all of our girls like every year are very solid. You'll never see a Lady Rocket walk on or off a field unless her leg is broke! Go Lady Rockets!

I think Forrest led at the end of the first quarter, at the half and in the third when you say we were playing keep away I saw great defence by JC, our girls kept looking for an opening or clean shot, JC just couldn't force a mistake or take it away. It was a great game I have it on DVD come over and I'll explain the game to you........

Didn't get to talk to you tonight Aunt Kim. I know you must be really proud of that girl wearing #15. It was a rough one tonight the refs really let them go at it, I thought someone might get hurt but both teams were really tough.
