Wow maybe Alco needs to end this series. I'm sure Rankin already would of if he could. 2-10 now? Alcoa is too obsessed with Maryville, i.e. turf, jumbotron, players marching in front of the stands before klckoff. Look familiar Maryville folks? Rankin constantly whinning about enrollment numbers. Does he apologize to the Scott Counties of the world when he comes out likely with twice as many dressed? And Alcoa never loses they just get cheated by the officials. And did not shake hands? Really?? If true hope his kids saw that fine example of how "not" to act. Alcoa played well enough to win but their QB turned it over twice and it killed them. Keep stacking those small ball trophies Coach.

I don't know that Coach Matthews was blaming the loss on the officials making bad/ biased calls. There is no doubt that the penalties cost us the game. I thought the second taunting penalty was a little weak. All I saw that drew the flag was an Irish player signaling TD running down the field. Don't know if you all saw anything else/different sitting on the Maryville side since I was standing on the visitors side around the 10 yd line.  I wasn't sure about the hit out of bounds because it looked like our player was diving after the runner and left his feet while the runner was still inbounds. If you're talking about the one after Bussell tied it at 42 it was not weak. #24 stood in front of the Maryville sideline pointing and gesturing and talking toward the players and the crowd for 10 to 15 seconds with a ref five yards away. 

But that may not be the one you're talking about.

Congratulations to Coach Hunt. One of the things that made Coach Quarles the coach he was is that he has great coaches around  him and he would be the first to tell you that. One of the keys to his success is the "system" that is in place. And the system can now move forward. We are in good hands. 

I think 20 is a "modest" estimate.

Great game by Oakland. #'s 6 and 7 are outstanding but that D is solid top to bottom. Props to our D for keeping it closer than it might of been. Oakland's front was disruptive all night. Outstanding kicker! Proud of our kids for hanging in. Lots of talk about lucky catch but going 97 yards on that D in a little over a minute is impressive. We had a little something going with the empty set to start the second half but had a real challenge most of the night. Think our large group of underclass men bodes well for the future. Good luck to Oakland next week.

Turned it off when it was 3rd down and MHS on 35 with maybe 0.22 sec how did that happen

They ran it to mid field then completed a pass to the 30 before the td pass which came with 2 seconds left.

No because the main office is closed after today. We wouldn't have received the tickets until this morning.

That play I had a perfect view. It was pass interference on the Bradley player. I said immediately that was inteference. The Call on the Maryville player should have been unsportsmanlike because he turned around started mouthing and got in the Bradley players face.

 

Both calls were deserved.

Yeah replay showed defender was practically on the ground. Looked like a good no call.

The one personal foul, on offensive pass interference, looked like a non-contact personal foul.

I thought the same thing. If it was thrown for someting said seems it would of been unsportsmanlike conduct.

Did n't see any contact either.

Question out of curiosity for the BC guys. As forecast continues to develop for Thursday PM looks like most of the area is going to get a half to an inch of rain from late afternoon through the evening hours. Any chance this game is moved back to Friday or does the TV coverage lock it in on Thursday? Looks like a fast moving system but the bulk of the rain Thursday evening and night.

Maryville fans early 2000's your rivalry with moe west, west had a de that was huge, fast, unstoppable, his nickname was pee wee, maybe the best high school player i seen in person. I for sure knew he would dominate at the next level, then maybe get drafted. Do you guys know what ever became of him.

Brandon Fanney. Thinking at one time he was committed or possibly signed with Bama. Not sure what became of him.

I think they do run the spread; (of some type). Watched the Farragut game and they had Farragut down by 20 early on. Had the ball fourth and goal on the one late in fourth quarter  rather than kick a field goal to make a two score game they went for it and failed.. Farragut  went on to score and win the game. Appeared talented but young to me.
