    I would like to take a moment to put to rest all the rumors surronding the Beech High School softball coaching position. As of today no one has been interviewed for the position. The position is open for next season and anyone interested should contact our Athletic Director Kristi Utley or our Principal Frank Cardwell at 615-824-6200. Email addresses are: kristi.utley@sumnerschools.org and frank.cardwell@sumnerschools.org

     

    I hope this clears up the rumors that were unfortunately started by people that do not know the current situation.

  7. Tennesse-Kentucky Border Battle Tournament April 23-24

    Greenwood High School in Bowling Green, Ky. needs one more TN team for their Border Battle Tournament April 23-24.

     

     

    Currently the following teams are entered:

     

    From KY: Greenwood, Grayson Co., Henderson Co., Union Co., North Hardin, Lawrence Co., Christian Co., Daviess Co., Barren Co., Apollo, Calloway Co., Warren Central, Franklin Co., Bowling Green and Muhlenberg Co.

     

    From TN: Beech, Portland, Lebanon, Friendship Christian, David Lipscomb, Wilson Central, Goodpasture, Greenbrier, East Robertson, Unicoi Co., Dickson Co. and Gordonsville.

     

    Entry Fee is $250.....pool play followed by single elimination tournament....guaranteed 4 games.

  11. Owensboro Catholic Sports Warehouse Classic Tournament

    SPORTS WAREHOUSE CATHOLIC CLASSIC hosted by Owensboro Catholic on Friday and Saturday April 30th and May 1st, 2010. All Games played at Fisher Park home of the 2009 KHSSA State tournament. The tournament will have 20 teams playing in five pools of four and then a blind draw single elimination tournament. Each team will be guaranteed four games. Entry fee is $250.00.   12. Tennesse-Kentucky Border Battle Tournament April 23-24

    The Greenwood High School Lady Gators from Bowling Green, Kentucky will be hosting their second annual "Kentucky-Tennessee Fastpitch Border Battle" on Friday and Saturday April 23rd and 24th, 2010. We would like to have 12 teams from Kentucky and 12 teams from Tennessee. Games will be played at Buchanon Park and the WKU Intramural Fields in Bowling Green. Format will be pool play followed by a single elimination tournament - teams are guaranteed a minimum of 4 games. Entry fee is $250. Contact Coach Penny Reece at penny.reece@warren.kyschools.us

  15. Beech Buccaneer Play Day Very Successful

    A special thanks to all the coaches, players, umpires, and softball fans that came out yesterday to Drakes Creek Park in Hendersonville to take part in the 13th annual Beech Buccaneer Play Day. Over 1200 people came through the park yesterday to watch the 12 hours of great softball on 10 fields and the weather was absolutely awesome. Thank you mother nature. I hope that everyone enjoyed their time and we look forward to doing it again next year. Good Luck to everyone on their season as we begin for real tomorrow. A special thanks to Chick Crandell and his staff for having the park and fields in top notch condition as always and Dave LeMarbre director of the Hendersvonville Parks and UIC for the play day for helping run such a smooth operation. Also a special thanks to the parents, friends, and families of the Beech Lady Bucs players who worked tirelessly yesterday to make sure the play day went off with out a hitch.

  17. Beech Buccaneer Play Day Schedule Posted

    Can someone please tell me where Mercy is located?

     

     

    Mercy is Louisville Mercy Academy out of Louisville, Kentucky. They are a very good team with a good tradition in softball. We are excited to have them come down to the play day this year. Also we are excited about Allen County - Scottsville from Scottsville, Kentucky. They also have a solid squad and should have a chance to be in the KHSAA state playoffs come late May.

    The schedules for the 38 teams participating in the Beech Buccaneer Play Day on Saturday March 7th at Drakes Creek Park in Hendersonville is now posted online at: www.eteamz.com/beechbuccaneersoftball/handouts

  22. 40 Teams in 2009 Beech Play Day

    The following 40 teams have entered the 2009 Beech Play Day on Saturday March 7th at Drakes Creek Park in Hendersonville. We are working on the pools now and should be able to send those out to coaches by mid-February. I will also try to post them on the message boards as well. Each team will play 4 games and some have requested 5. Coaches: if there are any teams other that your district teams that you do not want to play let me know ASAP so I can get that request in.   25. Innagural Beech Middle School Tournament

    Beech High School Softball would like to extend an invitation to area Middle School teams to participate in our Innagural Middle School Tournament on Friday March 20 and Saturday March 21 at Drakes Creek Park in Hendersonville, TN. This tournament is limited to the first 16 teams. The format will be a four game guarantee (3 in pool play and 1 in single elimination tournament.) The entry fee for the tournament is $175. Concessions and t-shirts will be available at the tournament. Please reserve your spot as soon as possible by contacting me at one of the numbers below.
