I went to a couple grace-temple games. Not sure who was cheering for Temple but someone was. Seemed to me they even dressed up and had signs. There was a large crowd at the state championship game as well. (large for a small school)

It is the post-Skogen era. They used to show up and be loud. Did they do pep rallies the last couple of years.

the chattanoogan.com's coverage of wrestling has been second to none in the state of Tennessee this year. More matches than any other paper in the state.
Ward does a great job with the Times-Free Press as well. They are not connected in anyway.

This was at Red Bank. Gotta be a big game for Mccallie heading into the last part of the season.

gotta play by the rules. TSSAA says no noise makers.

wow, when was the last time Soddy-Daisy did not go to the state dual meet?
(I am assuming the loss means they don't go)
-
wow. (not a double post, still trying to get over that one)

District 6-AA is at Bledsoe Co.

and now the principal is at the new signal mtn school.

AP polls? They are hardly ever accurate.
Hasn't howard beat brainerd twice this year? Where were the AP writers? Not in Chattanooga thats for sure.

by my calculations the SD-McCallie match took about 18 minutes. I hope no one paid to go see this one.

I believ it is Hamilton County's policy to cancel all sporting events if they have no school. Anyone heard? Might need an exception to the policy. Or maybe a new policy.

CCS is a good team without Moore and Cook. Can't imagine what they will be like when they have them both back. (assuming they do come back)
-
Moore's been out all season.

the overall talent now is nothing like the talent they had last year or in the past 5 years. (even though only one played college ball)
For example- Dee Newsom and James Kemp--- no comparision although I think James has done a nice job, but he cannot be compared to a player like Dee.

Knox Catholic is private.
If you mean they should be DII, it wouldn't matter. Sounds like it is still illegal. Haven't read the article just going by what you said.

I know there has been a lot of talk on here about girls wrestling.
Although girls wrestling isn't a TSSAA sanctioned sport there will be a double-elimination tournament held in conjunction with the TSSAA boys Division I state duals wrestling tournament at Clarksville High School this year. It will be held by TSSAA.
The girls will be given awards and honors just like in the boys tournament.
Here is an article on the Chattanoogan: High School Girls Are Ready To Wrestle

I really wanted to see Lettner wrestle and didn't come until the Ohio State match.
Great win for UTC.

from what I have seen and heard at Brainerd their speed/skill guys are not only fast but are big to and will hit you. They have skill at reciever, running back and full back. The red bank/brainerd game was one of the hardest hitting games I have seen.

Jurick is on a terrible team. I am sure it is hard for him to stay motivated. (not an excuse just the facts)
I don't see him at Tn either but the coaches aren't stupid. He will either start running or he won't play. They will make him run. If he doesn't, he won't be on the team. I think it is unfair to judge him based on watching him play on this years team. They don't even give him the ball when he is posting up. I think it is crazy.
Don't see how Mcmasters is a wast of 6'11. He doesn't play in the post very often which is strange but he shots the ball well. I think both have a nice shot.
Every kid has to step up to play at the next level. They either will or won't. They both have the potential. Lets be a little fair and give them some time to see what happens. I would love to see Jurick be successful at Tennessee.
