  1. Whatever tickets aren't sold by the visiting team have to be returned to the home team by five o'clock to be sold at the gate.
  2. I don't really know enough about Summertown to make a prediction one way or another, but I doubt FRA will have much trouble with Summertown's gym. They played there last year, and honestly FRA has played much better on the road this season than at home. I have a feeling that they will be focused and ready to play, regardless of the small floor. It should be a good atmosphere for both teams though, because everyone knows Summertown's gym can't really hold a 1,000. B ready to be packed in for what should be a great game!
  3. Although FRA did not play as well in the regular season as expected, they were clicking on all cylinders on Tuesday Night at DCA. If they can slow the game down, I think they have a good chance to upset CPA due to the added motivation of two heartbreaking losses in the regular season. Plus, when CPA stormed the court a couple of weeks ago and celebrated as if they had won the NCAA championship, it definitely got FRA's attention that this rivalry is far from over. Who knows what's going to happen for sure, but I know that there will be a huge crowd in a small gym and it should be a lot of fun. FRA was seeded high last year and ended up winning the District 9A Tournament, and Coach Tackett always has his team ready to play come tournament time. I say FRA by three in a slow-paced, low-scoring game in which FRA finally lives up to preseason expectations and shows that its hard to beat a good team three times.
  4. Instead of bashing Reed for a move that has taken her to the State Tournament and earned her District MVP and Region MVP, why don't you encourage opposing defenses to stop it. She has plenty more moves, but if the first one works, why change it...
  5. 1.) I think you guys might wanna go back and look at my first post when I mentioned that Ezell would beat Westmoreland by at least 10. Even though Ezell came out slow, they still managed to defeat Westmoreland by the ten point margin and really there was no question who the winner would be once the second half began. Westmoreland was completely outmatched by Ezell's pressure defense, and only mananaged to make this one close with some hot shooting in the first quarter. Congrats Ezell... 2.) Although Moore County got oh so lucky with a win over Cloudland, who really should have beat them, I still think MC is the second best team in the tourney, which is a shame because they will get put out by the best team on Friday. Whoever wins Friday wins Class A state on Saturday, and I am predicting an Ezell victory by at five or so points. It should be a good game, but once again, I just think that Ezell will outmatch Moore County... 3.) Funny how all the Westmoreland fans, those who claim their team will win because they are simply the best, have been quieted by today's game. If you think that's good wait until after the Moore County game on Friday - nothing was sweeter than getting on CoachT last year and seeing a CoachT messageboard free from Moore County's "we are the best" posts after the FRA victory in substate. Look for the same after Friday unless it's a close game, which will then prompt cries of poor officiating. [Edited by ChampBC on 3-12-03 10:21P]
  6. Ezell wil win easily against a team that beat Friendship four times because Friendship can't hit free throws. If you are reading this Westmoreland, enjoy the tournament experience because your first day will be your last. Although I do think MC will give Ezell a game in the second round....
  7. This thread, along with countless others, proves the worthlessness of this site these days. It's no longer an objective viewpoint, it's just.... "Blah, blah, Moore County is the best, blah, blah." -RaiderFan "No, no, Westmoreland is the best, no one can stop Jones." -WestmorelandFan This site has just turned into which school's fans have more computers. Thank goodness they still actually play the games... [Edited by ChampBC on 3-10-03 8:17P]
  8. 1.) Ezell will beat Westmoreland - probably by ten or more. I have seen Ezell play all year long (they are in our district) and I saw the Westmoreland/Chatt. Christian game, and I honestly feel there is no comparison. Ezell is very suited to the way Westmoreland plays and I think Westmoreland will probably be very disappointed come Wednesday. 2.) Moore County is a good team, probably the second best in the tournament, but I doubt they will get past Ezell if they make it to the second game. Now I know all of you people out there in MC will disagree, but FRA played nothing close to their best game and still almost came back from a 24-8 deficit to make it a ballgame. That being said, I also watched MC choke away the Substate game against FRA last year, which in my mind proved that they couldn't handle the pressure against a team at the top of its game. Rest assured that if MC and Ezell meet, Ezell will be at the top of their game, allowing them to pick up the win like they did already this year. 3.) Finally, Reed is the real deal. Not only can she drive and shoot the three, she also makes everyone around her better due to the defensive attention she draws. And with Bishop and both of the McCool sisters as her supporting cast, I see Ezell picking up the class A repeat!
