  1. Dresden by 20? What rock have you been under the last few weeks? I had a chance to see Huntingdon play in the region and even with the loss of Fuller they looked even better. They even played without another starter vs USJ and still won by 10. Should be a close game. Maybe the third time is the charm for Huntingdon.
  2. As someone who just came to see two good teams play and could have cared less which one won, the team that won[Middleton] did more of what they had to do to win. It is hard to beat someone three times much less beating them four. They stopped 33 and Carter[there have better Mr. BB choices] had a great game. So why don't all the Adamsville fans[who acted terrible the entire tournament] stop crying and be glad that you don't travel to Memphis and now have a shot to get to the Boro by taking on lesser team in Greenfield[which plays as rough as any team in the state]. But I guess it would be the refs to blame again if Adamsville lost.
  3. Will they have the same coach next year? As always with teams that do not win year after year, there is always talk. Look at the cats of Wayne Co. and what happened. Good luck in the future to all Wayne Co. teams.
  4. I agree with ptguard12's list with the exception of Huntingdon. They have lost their best player with an acl injury.
  5. Should be a good one Tuesday. Huntingdon comes in at the top of the district at 8-0 while Clarksburg stands at 4-1. The Mustangs could wrap up first place with a win. The Rockets are scrappy and N. Cobb can fill it up from downtown{will be interesting to see who tries to stop him if anyone can}. Speed is equal. Shooting a slight edge to Clarksburg, although Huntingdon seems to be shooting it better as of late. Defense might be on the Mustangs side, although the Rockets press and stay after you. Inside game goes to Huntingdon. Throw in the rivalry and the fact that the gym will be packed makes this one a must see.
  6. Seems like the Lady Cats always win the big district games. The thought of playing someone who has been on top for so long can cause a loss before the game ever starts.Perry Co. has improved, but have yet to beat a great team. Their soft schedule seems to hurt them when it comes tourny time, although this year being improved, could be different.
  7. Any details? Sounds like a bad one for the cats.
  8. Clarksburg at Huntingdon Feb.10 and Huntingdon at Mckenzie Feb.11
  9. Does the word "team" mean anything? Maybe this is part of the reason they have not beat any good teams.
  10. A very hard fought game by both teams.
  11. Great game on defense for Huntingdon. They did a good job of holding Willis to single numbers and they shot the ball better than they have in a while{did not take many shots, were kept on the defensive end most of the night, and showed good patience on offense.}
  12. A big district showdown Friday at Huntingdon. Huntingdon has won the last two meetings. If Huntingdon can stop Willis and Aldridge, make Bruceton play defense, and control the boards they should win. But if Willis and Aldridge get going, it won't even be close.
  13. I agree with wavcent. Huntingdon does have some good athletes. From what I hear, they seem to play based on whom they are playing{ex. district game or rival team}. Gleason and Dresden should not have been with 20 points of them. Let's see what happens when they meet these two again and see if these two are better than Huntingdon. Finally to a previous post about Lexington being "OFF", from what I was told Lexington had a size advantage inside, but kept shooting the three in the second half and couldn't throw one in the ocean, which allowed Huntingdon to hang around and win it in OT. As good as the post player is from Lexington, with his size and ability maybe he should have got the ball more instead of someone throwing up all those bricks. Oh well, some teams live and die by the three.
  14. The two teams will play in Huntingdon at their Christmas Classic on Friday Dec. 27 at 9:00. Should be a great game.
  15. Wow, what a game it must have been!! Any details on this one?

Glad to see the cats doing well, but we need to clear up something about one the posts saying that they are 2-0. These Hall Of Fame games do not count on your record, win or lose. All the money taken from these game go to the TSSAA and it is a way to get an early start on your season, but again without wins or loses. The regular season will start Monday night. Good luck to all teams in Wayne County.

Who did the cats play last night and what was the score?

    Lady Lions

Yes I did see them play, and they look like a team that might win 9 to 10 games, maybe. And yes, they take to quick of a shot.
  19. There were several teams that played, so for those that watched some of the games, who do you think were some real good teams there?
  20. CATS1

    Lady Lions

You must have watched someone else, because vs Greenfield they did not look very good and Greenfield was not that good. Everyone for Clifton will have a lot of shot attempts, because yesterday whoever got it shot it.

    Lady Lions

Why do they only have 7 players? Back in the 80's those Lady Lions were tuff under Hal Clark. Why are the numbers so down this year?
  22. Who are the teams and matchups at Clifton this Saturday? Any good teams going to be there?
  23. By looking at Wayne Co.'s schedule, they don't have any pushovers. They have great guard play in Miller, Nutt, and Byrd, but lack much of an inside game. If these guards are all hitting in a game, then the opponent better watch out. Teams will probably drop way the post if they have the ball on the outside and help on the guards. If the post game develops, then look for them to win 17 to 18 games and have a top three district tournament finish and winning one in the region, if not look for 11 to 12 wins and an early exit in the district.
