  1. Anyone have a list of all district for district 10 A/AA....I know Springfield received 5 notches...i'm not sure on the other schools....does anyone know how many Greenbrier got?? Or DA??

  2. I honestly do not think Trousdale will make it out of districts this year. Greenbrier is obviously the team that snuck up on most this year, currently they hold an 8-1 record. Springfield lost to Davidson Academy earlier this week (5-4) although it was close i still feel Springfield is better. Greenbrier plays Springfield next week so we will see how they measure up as the season winds down.

And tennisguy, Greenbrier is extremely bottom heavy. The entire season the bottom 3 have carried them to most of their victories. One of the three is still undefeated in play, having gone 15-0 i think up to today. So fantastic job by the Bobcats as the most improved team in the district so far.

  3. When you say p-town i'm guessing you are talking about Portland. And DA is pretty solid, I figured Greenbrier might challenge them a little better than 2-7. Hopefully it could be a different story towards the end of April. Who does District 10 match up with in the region??

  4. I would assume you are talking about it being a TSSAA state champ vs. TSLA state champ.

A few random thoughts to create some in-depth discussion:

TSSAA is sure to be nothing but a burden for lacrosse in TN.  They can barely handle the rules of running a golf tourn. much less the complexities of lacrosse.  I understand how it would help growth in public schools, but what you end up with is the sport being forced on schools instead of supported by parents, competent coaches, and quality administration.  The biggest problem in areas of growth is qualified coaches.  There just aren't enough coaches to keep up with the number of participants.  States with sanctioned programs have a lot more politics that stall the growth of the game.

which is why the need for development leagues are needed...would you know how we stack up against other surrounding states in lacrosse numbers. are we average? are there coaching clinics for lacrosse anywhere around?

  5. Finally!! A stroke of genius....moving it to VU would be such an imporvement.....and for those of you griping about the benches, you should appreciate the uniqueness of the gym and its surroundings!!

Of course they will never move it to Nashville.....but you can always dream!

  6. I'd like to start off by congratulating the rest of the "senior seven" on their win tonight. Nice way to go out on their home court ..... I would also like to congratulate Kenton Coleman on his accomplishment tonight. Kenton is and always has been someone I've looked up too. His talent both on and off the court has always been something I've admired. His work ethic is incredible. If anyone deserved this award for his constant hardwork and hustle, it was Kenton. It's been an honor playing with him for as long as I have. He has helped me become the player I am today and I owe alot to him. All the times we played one on one after school or after practice, finally paid off. With all the events that went on in the past week, it's amazing how optimistic he is. This goes for the rest of his family, as well. I just want to thank him for being a role model for me and the other players on the team. I can't tell you how proud I am for Kenton and how greatful I am to have him be a part of my high school career and a part of our team. He's a great friend and an overall great person. Keep up the work buddy, we're gonna go far!!!

Truer words could not be spoken!! There is nothing else you can really say.

  7. Courageous and gutsy performance by Kenton Coleman tonight..  With his Grandmother just passing away...  She rarely missed any of his ballgames...  Her funeral is today at 1:00 p.m. so please be in prayer for him and his family.  He is Super Young Man both on and off the court....

This is true. He did an exceptional job, under his current circumstances. But still, Greenbrier could not get the "monkey" off their backs once again. It seems to be the same story every time these two teams meet. They were outscored 23 - 9 in the 4th quarter. Also you could make an argument with the fouls called. At one point it was around 13 -2 for Greenbrier, and both teams were playing equally agressive.

Hopefully they can rebound after this one and beat East Lit tomm night. Should be a special moment for the "Senior Seven."

  8. Can Greenbrier finally get the David Lipscomb monkey off their back?

    Can Greenbrier contain Jason Brock?

Can Greenbrier come up in the clutch?

Well knowing from last week, they can come up in the clutch, by winning two must win district road games. But this is Lipscomb. Greenbrier hasn't won at DL, or in that case against them in who knows how long. Will tommorrow be the night? Biggest game of the year for both schools!!!!
