On Feg. 2 Cookeville hosts a very good oakland team. Here are two good defensive teams with the fire power to provide and exciting game. A lot is riding on this game in many ways. An overtime is in the offering.

Yeah,Cookeville ended up having a "work session" with Livingston Academy today.

The scrimmage day with LA is Tuesday August 8. Cookeville went to Blackman today and got rained out. Cookeville didnt work with anyone today.

August 11 is scrimmage with Blackman and Oak Ridge at Cookeville

It was a prediction dude chill out. It was also a good call for you to pick Cookeville to win the district then quit on them and go to Blackman.

i agree with you mzsoccer...and jordan holmes, id have to disagree with you on the lucky goal. i mean cookeville only had one real shot on goal, and it went right past paul, he had no chance. paul is nothing without you guys. blackman played a good game, it was good to watch, very exciting. but the season isnt over yet. cookeville only played about 85 % of their full potential. but keep talking it up paul and jordan, atleast you keep the general population interested. everything happens for a reason boys, keep that in mind.

In 7-AAA Girls..

it should be Riverdale playing White Co on THursday at 4:00pm and

Siegel and Cookeville playing thursday at 7:00pm in the other semifinal.

Last nights Farragut/Bearden playoff game was packed. I made the remark about the school making some good money off the gamee and was told by another parent tha TSSAA keeps it all.

Is this true?

The TSSAA gets 50% of the gate and then both schools involved will get 25% each.

I heard that Cookeville has 1 second to go, calls a timeout, then fakes taking a knee and scores a TD. After the game I heard there were strong word between the 2 coaches, and maybe more. THAT is what I'm wanting clarified...

cookeville never called a timeout nor scored with 1 second to go.. Cookeville didnt even have the ball... Lincoln Co. had the ball at the end because they had just kicked a field goal and got the onside kick with less than 40 seconds left in the game. I am sure there wasnt any strong words exchanged between the two coaches because they are good friends... So hope that helps to clarify it..

Cookeville had all backups in after it was 14-14 for the rest of the scrimmage.

it was at least 21-14 with the starters in if not 28-14. Gulmire ran in two tds and number 21 also caught one. dont forget binghams int return for a touchdown. those were all first string tds.
