Huntland will win the district. Enough said!! I think Moore Co. and Eagleville will be the other contenders.

I agree that Jenkins has potential cause I have coached against his team before too. I have talked with him on many occasions and I must say the only thing he needs to improve on is trying to be too big time. I like him and he is a great kid, but he needs to worry about helping his high school team win before he starts worrying about signing a D1 scholarship. He has a nice shot from the perimeter, but in his league he could average 30 a game in the post. Then when they put a slow big guy on him he can go to the perimeter. I know there is no one who can stop him on the block in their league and their guards are good enough to get him the ball down there. There was a guy who played at Eagleville a couple of years ago who had the same problem. Matt jarboe was unstoppable on the block but did not go there enough. But in their state tourney game against SOuth Fulton where did he go when they needed a bucket; to the block! Jamar you can play on the perimeter in AAU cause that is where most colleges do their recruiting anyway. right now help Forrest win and get inside where no one in your league can stop you. Just a little advice.

I agree that Casey is a good player, and will be a nice catch for someone. If someone reads this that knows him tell him one thing: Get in the weight room and get bigger and stronger. I have coached against him in the past and he needs to realize that single A ball is different than college. He has the skills but not the strength, at least not yet. Trust me I played single A ball and was successful, but when I went to college it was a whole different league. My body was so far behind because he and I are built about the same at that age and I never lifted until I got to college. He needs to be ready when he gets there. Huntland is off to a 4-0 start for the first time in a few years. I saw them play Cornersville this Friday and they played very well. The score was 34-13 but it was 34-0 nothing at the half. Both touchdowns for Cornersville came late against the younger guys from Huntland. None of Huntlands starters played any offense in th 2nd half. Their line does a great job of blocking for Fanning,Cantrell, and the other running backs. I think they have a shot at the region this year if they continue to play this way and improve. Good luck to the Hornets and great job by their coaching staff.

Fanning from Huntland has almost 500 yards and only 40 something carries. He is averaging over 12 yards a carry. I know the DCA back is good but I would like to see Fannings stats if he had over 100 carries. He is only a junior and this is the first year he has been the primary runner.

Huntland over Cornersville 28-7. I think Huntland has a great shot at the playoffs. They have 3 of the toughest teams at home in Collinwood,Wayne CO. and Cascade. They have to go to Moore Co which is always a good game because of the rivalry. If they win this week I think they are a lock for the playoffs. Good luck Hornets.

Huntland beat them 14-0 in jamboree. So I think they are better than the Rockets right now. But it is a long year and they should get better. I know Huntland will continue to improve and as long as they avoid injuries I think they will be the surprise in this region. I dont know if they can beat Collinwood but I do think they will surprise a lot of people. Good luck Hornets!

How can they hire this guy instead of Hal Murrell? He is aproven winner and this young guy has never won anything. Flat out Hal Murrell got screwed! But Culleoka is blessed to still have him. Good Luck Warriors!!!!

I have heard that Mike Shockley has already left Huntland and took a job at Cannon Co. Any truth to this?
