First of all, I gather from reading some of his earlier post that tnbballman is a student from Red Boiling Springs so don't allow him to get things to stirred up because he appears to not know what he is talking about. Portland is still a great powerhouse in 3-A football and will be a team that will go deep into the state play-offs. Troudale may be one of the top 2 or three programs in the state themselves. And as for Smith County, who knows just how good they are this year. They have already beat a great Gordansville team as well as a very good Oliver Springs team who I think had not even been scored on until they played the owls. I am hoping to see a great ball game friday night as Smith County brings their Owls up the hill. Good luck to both teams and coaching staffs. ONCE AGAIN MIRRORMAN I don't know how you know so much about our coaching staff. Have you ever coached with each one of them? Or are you talking about ceartain individuals? I think it is unethical for you to insult any of the coaches on here (REMEMBER PLAYERS GET ON HERE AS WELL)and especially the coaches we have that you know nothing about. If you have a personal problem with some of the staff take care of it elsewhere, that is not what this board is set up for. By the way Portalnd, Good luck on the creekbank this week. I still believe you have a great team as well as one of the best coaching staffs in the state. One other thing, does anyone else agree with me that region 4 is one of the toughest regions in 3-A?

I think Macon and their fans are in for a good dose of reality. They should know better than to taunt a team they haven't beaten in how long? I think they have given us a reason to get up for this game. It may have been difficult to do that. Thank you Macon fans. Oh wait, they did beat us in our jamboree last year. You have to give it to them for fan support. You would have thought they won the super bowl. Antwan, just to let you know, No-one was chanting Smith County at the game Friday night. As for competing with Smith County, Trousdale and Portland, that does not mean a prediction of victort, that just means having the ability to make it a good game. Also it was 2 years ago win the Tigers and owls met in the Jamboree and considering how the previous 10 years had went for the Tigers I can understand their excitement for beating as good of a program as Smith County. Not trying to ruffle any feathers with this post, just trying to inform.

MIRRORMAN, I am glad that you know so much about Macon County's assistant coaches. There is about 6 assistants that work extremely hard with our young men at the High School. If they are all so bad, then why is Coach Dyer always talking so highly about them? And why are the players always having great things to say about them? We have a good staff that Macon County is proud of. I do appreciate everyone else with your positive attitudes. I agree with you all that PD is a great man. I have enjoyed reading everyone post from Smith County except for Mirrorman(I do not know if he is from Smith County or not). I look forward to the game Friday night. I know that Smith County has a great football team along with a great coaching staff, great fans and a great tradition. Macon is a much improved team but has yet to play a team of Smith County's calliber.I think it has the making of a great ball game. I am very proud of how hard our boys have worked this year as I am sure everyone from Smith County feels the same about their boys. I just hope and pray that god watches over and protects every player from injury, as well as those traveling to the game. Lets enjoy the week, all the hype around the game, and show our class in the process. I look forward to reading more post from the supporters of both of these programs.

Ela, It appears to me that you have your priorities in line. Every Coach wants to win, but the problem is, that is all that some coaches care about. I admire what you are doing with your boys and your program. I wish we had more teachers and coaches out there working with the kids that had a desire to improve the kids futures like yourself. I have a great deal of ties with Clay County and I truly believe they are lucky to have a man of your stature working with their young men. Keep up the great work, ignore the ignorance of a few, focus on the kids, and good luck.

I have a great deal of respect for anyone willing to give of their time to try and help enrich a young persons life, especially those who volunteer. I tip my hat to all the volunteer coaches out there at every level in the state. I know that a lot of staffs at the high school level would be struggling if it were not for these volunteers. So if you have the opportunity (clay county or anywhere else) dont waist your time by insulting a situation, do something by helping these that are giving time away from their own families to work with your kids. Coach Atkins, I have only had the honor of speaking to you once, but I know that you have the best interest for the young people at Celina High at the top of your priority list and I tip my hat to you and wish the best of luck to you and your program

I sincerely appolgize, I know the coaching staff well at Portland and do realize they do not run the score up. I am close friends with one of the coaches and was taking a wise crack at him. I did not mean to ruffle any feathers and I do mean it when I say I am sorry. Also I did not think about using thier first names, this was my first post, and I did not realize that they playesd york last week, I had it in mind it was this week. Portland should win. I do think the game will be a little closer than 42-0. Starters out by the end of the third?????? I don't believe that Roger and Chad would take the starters out by the end of the third if they were up 42-0. They enjoy running the score up entirely to much.
