Gammons is the qb as of now and was the backup for Carlisle last couple of years and is very accurate

I think we'll surprise some people this year!

Macon can't be great in every sport but they are very competitive in many! They should put an Academy sports in Lafayette with all the year round sports!

Awful lot of guess work flying around now that the coaches have left. I don't fault any of them, as they did what they felt best for them and their family. Assuming that Wilson left just because their stud is gone is lazy and wrong. My suggestion is look at what the whole situation is/was. Macon is a 4A school, if I'm not mistaken. And if you've went to a game, you'll see what, maybe 40 kids on the team? If even that many? The reality is that Macon's athletes roaming the halls aren't playing football. And that isn't a coaching thing, it's a community/society thing. A 4A school should have at minimum, 50-60 kids playing football. Go up to the field house in the summer and see how many kids are in there lifting weights, being committed to getting better/stronger. I'm guessing tumbleweeds might be blowing through. This generation of kids just aren't into it like the good ol' boys used to be. Other sports don't have to have the numbers football does, and when you see declining numbers year after year, your dang right it affects how coaches might consider other offers.
I wish all the coaches that accepted other offers the best of luck, and I think Shoulders will do the best he can with what he's got to work with. He's got the knowledge, just like Wilson does/did, and I'm sure he'll be a good representative of Macon Co. and it's program. Macon gets talent in runs, and there's not a lot special coming through in the next couple of years, so hang in there fans and enjoy seeing your friends on friday nights. But don't get caught up in rumor and guess work and think bad of those that left. I guess they just thought it was time for a change, which is normal and every program goes through it in all sports, so good luck to all and if you have any 6'3 270 kids laying around, get them in some pads!
You are right for the most part but many boys want to play or try different sports and football is so demanding year-round that they don't wanna commit ! Maybe this coach can learn how to balance it better??

Well all that negative thinking is gone now and maybe we will hear soon who the new coach is!
-
Amen! Maybe something will come out soon why they all left.

We’re down to one line coach so if anyone knows of someone coming to Macon to coach please inform us! Thanks. I have heard a coach from westmoreland quit recently and that he is coming but that’s unofficial ?
-
Well you were right, Wilson is gone to gallatin !
-
York isn’t leaving til after the year and Shaw left for gordonsville to be closer to his family! Tigers will be fine. Tiger man you need to change sources on your info
