  1. I said that after this game we would know what kinda team Macon would ahve this year. Cause you knows how much Trousdale was down this year. But after seeing them play their hearts out and never giving up I believe that no one on there schedule can take them espically after seeing people like Greenbrier, Pearl Cohn, get spanked this week. I say it is going to be a magical season this year. Go Tigers all the way to the Buro' 15-0. Just one game at a time. Next Pearl Cohn.

    Git 'er done, HIT SOMEBODY!!!

PS. Man I still can't get over the Westmorland game last night. That had to be best game I have ever saw with the exception of the Macon County vs Smith County 3rd round playoff game a few years ago. It hard to say which one is better. What do yiou guys think.

The MC vs SC game was more exciting because it was a playoff game and because it was the night chickens. :D

  2. Waiting for an answer,anyone.

If the red chickens get off a half way decent punt, they are in good shape to win, because the Tigers must score a TD to win being down by 4. If the red chickens take a safety they are down by 2, then must kick off to the Tigers from the 30 yard line I think. The Tigers have a very good kicker who has already kick a 38 and 44 yard field goals this year. The red chickens had been squib kicking on the kickoffs all night long. I dont know if their kicker cant kick it deep or they were scared of a long return.

  3. White House fans, get ready to swallow some of that BDP. ND has a great team. ND will not let you run the football, so work on throwing the football this week. ND running backs are tough and don't quit moving their feet till there down. I was most impressed with #20 for ND, legs as about as big as a toothpick, little fellow. Tough as nails and will knock it out of you. I will say that WH is a hard hitting bunch also, But I think ND will win.

  4. Again, perhaps Coach Cook will get ahead early and let his underclassmen have a few plays. You know experience build character. Go easy on the Dekalb Boys-the tables could be turned and it could be you.

It has been not to many years ago Macon Co. was DeKalb Co. BULLBUTTER on taking it easy!!!! Who ever is playing the game needs to give 100%. I'm sure Coach C knows what it's like to get his butt thumped.

  5. congrats to greenbriar on a well played game, good luck on the rest of the season. the difference in the game was basically 2 big plays. macon fought hard, and i personally was impressed with the willingness macon had to put the ball in the air . i mean seriously, we've went season's where we didn't throw 32 times! but where was the running game, even though greenbriar did an excellent job containing the ground game it seemed macon abandoned ship alittle quick on the running game. which brings me to asking where did dallas dissappear to during the second half? someone said he had tweaked his ankle or something but i would hope that he would have the heart to stink it up if at all possible. so i am assuming he was really badly hurt cause surely he didn't just quit on his team, so lets hope its not serious enough to end his season.

good luck to both teams for the rest of the season

#29 Dallas hurt his knee. I don't know if it was a bruise or a sprain. They had it wrapped in ice. How bad it is,Idon't know. #59 Pedigo hurt his ankle, again, I don't know how bad he is hurt. Both of these injuries hurt the Tigers, but it's a team sport and that's the way the ball bounces sometimes.

  6. It was a great game Macon County! I think that game was more exciting than most than I've been to this year I very much enjoyed the ride out Hwy 52. I'd never been out that way before and it was a peaceful, easy trip. Lafayette is a nice little town and the parking at the field was easy, and getting into the stadium was just up the steps and you're there. Your fans were definitely into the game and the 12th man did surprise me being so vocal. I don't know who the refs were but they and the scoreboard keeper seemed to be off kilter. Never have I seen flags all over the field to see all of them picked up with no penalty afterall. Still don't know what that was about. Michael Dallas and company were as advertised. He is a good running back and quick. I'm sure you are proud of him and the teams accomplishments.

To our Bobcats---what can I say? You continue to amaze us and make us proud! You boys never quit, never back down. Take a breather and get ready for next week. It's gonna be a long week!

Nice post. I don't whine much, but the refs were pretty bad last night. They get a D- in my book for last night preformance. I guess they are human and can't see, like the rest of us.

I saw what I expected out of the Bobcats last night, a tough, hard nose football TEAM. #12 is a bull and arm tackles will not work on him. Greenbrier should do well in the playoffs.

The Tigers played a good game and have nothing to be ashamed about. These yonug men have been through alot, but have fought their way through it. Go get DeKalb Co.

    GO TIGERS!!!!

  7. Greenbrier-28

    Macon Co.-17

It was a great game. My hats off to both teams. It was a good clean hard hitting game with good sportsmanship shown by both teams. Congraduations Bobcats on your victory tonight. Tigers, you played a good game, just come up alittle short. Keep your heads up and get ready for DeKalb Co.

  8. Now this seems like a motivation ploy. B) Macon has motivation of their own. I'm sure they want to stuff the Bobcats. Less than 24 hours til game time and we'll see how this goes down.

Bobcat fans take a drive and let's go to Macon County! Bobcat team, you know what it takes. Look how far you've come. No turning back now. Go play some Greenbrier smash-mouth football! FOCUS.

I for one am planning to leave right after work to go to MC so be able to be there before you shut the gates :thumb:

What's the best way to get there from Greenbrier? Appears to be straight through Hwy52?? A friend with family in Macon says ya'll have a new HS right on 52. Can someone tell me if that's correct?

This ain't no ploy. antwan would root for Red China over The Macon Co. Tigers.

Getting to the field. It is NOT at the new high school. You should be coming in on 52 east from Westmoreland. When you get to the 4-way stop at the Tractor Supply and Walgreens, turn left on Ellington Dr., go about 1/4 mile, another 4way stop, go straight. Your going to go about another 1/4 mile and the road will fork, go to the right, this will take you to the field at the next 4 way stop. If you come up Hwy 10 for Hartsville, at the 4 way stop at the Hwy52 intersection, turn left on 52W, go to the 4 way stop at Walgreens and TSC and turn right on Ellington Dr., now follow directions above when you get on Ellington Dr.

  9. I don't know what the deal is with LA. With the talent LA has had the last 4 years, they should have a better record. The one thing that has been an advantage for the night chickens against LA is that they played LA early in the season, not this year. LA seems to play better as the season goes on, bad news for the night chickens.

    LA wildcats-35

    night chickens-14

  10. Even though I think LA is a heavy favorite, it is tempting to think that SC has a chance because bigB76 has said three times this year that so and so is "going to PLUCK the night chickens." Not one time that you said that did that happen. (Gordonsville, Macon, and Westmoreland) Your awful, hope you don't bet on football games.

I know I'm awful and I don't gamble, but you might want to go back and read the red chicken@night chicken thread. I pick the night chickens to win. I don't remember whoo I picked went you played G-ville. You are right though about the Macon Co. prediction. You are the one whoo brought a jacket to that game?

  11. I am so proud of the TIGER FOOTBALL TEAM!!!!

After 2 heartbreaking losses to WH and Smith Co., the TIGERS travel to Station Camp and find themselves down 29 to 9 in the 3rd. Now I been keeping up with football in Macon Co. for a little while and I'm telling you the Tigers of the past would have quit right there. But not this TIGER TEAM. The Coaches make an adjustment and THE MIGHTY TIGERS come back and win the game 30 to 29. I love the attitude of the Coaches and this TIGER TEAM. They refuse to lose, they refuse to give up.

Now for this week. Tiger teams of the past would say,"Well were playing WH or Peetown or Trousdale Co. or Greenbrier, they are better than we are. It's alright if we lose."

    BULLBUTTER!!!!!

This Tiger team is not the Tigers of the past. Losing is NOT alright. Is this the best football team Macon Co. has ever had? I don't think so, but their hearts are as big as any, and there not going to roll over just because Greenbrier is coming to town.

    GO TIGERS!!!

  12. Macon is giving up 22.6 points per game. Maybe he should play defense. :thumb:

Looks to me like you need to worry about harville and the nc D. Ain't like the night chickens are shutting everybody down, giving up 19.7 a game. You should send Coach Satterfield an email and thank him for putting the 2nd team in or they would have scored 60. :D
