Good luck Indians. Make that 100 mile trip home a short and joyous ride. Bring the victory home to East Tennessee. Go in hungry and come home full. I envy the support your fan base offers. They are DB to the end and your record speak for it's self. Bearden Knows the Tribe will come to play and they aren't coming 100 miles to look pretty. It's gonna be a smash mouth game on both sides. Stay cool and walk your walk. Your play will do the talk. And when you get the chance,,, Wrap'em up and Ride'em down.

The good Lord is a willing person, But the creeks may rise. I'll be looking for ya backer. We'll be eating before the game, It's Italian food night for the Touchdown club and these folks can bring it. I'll have some brats and you know how that is. Bring the mate and the the younger backers. You'll come back. Not to many folks are giving us a chance, I love it. I'm an underdog kind of guy. I know these young men will not quit. They want to go out a winner over the Chiefs. The press corps and press box crew are welcome to eat with the club before the game. We'll have you guys some cold drinks in the press box. Come eat with us pre game cause I know your mouths will be busy during the game. I want to thank all the folks that help make the place look as good as it does. They are some real Volunteers. Now to you guys on the field,,, We are behind YOU. Every snap could be the one that makes the difference. Do what you have been taught and a little more. It will mean more to you in the future. If you give it your all, every play you can hold your head high. Play like the winners you are. Let's get on a roll. Make'em pay for every yard. Anybody that's a Falcon fan is invited to feast with the Falcon faithful. Like I said it's Italian night, just bring something you can share and we will all enjoy. Myself, I will always be a brat man, thanks to that VolFalcon. Now to the game. I know we will be in forth quarter shape. The line will make the difference, both sides. Our horses will run and the go to guy will be there. I thought the QB did a fine job and will only get better with each snap. I see a big year at Volunteer. The first game loss was a lesson, and each man learned. The Falcons can be what ever they want to be and I think they want it more then anything. The defense is there, they will not give six and seven yards on first downs. I know the kick receiving team will be much improved. I do have to give a shout out to the punter, what a cool head he kept on his first kick. This young man is a freshman and will make some plays that turn games around. What a leg, what an athlete. We have many freshmen that will make a difference in Volunteer football in the years to come. Take pride on every play and stay on your blocks. When the ball is snapped and you don't have the ball,, put somebody on their back or at least screen them from the play. I want this win as much as every Falcon. Play smart and protect yourself, you can't let up, Make the first contact count, make'em hate to see you coming. I've used up to much space somebody else say something. Wrap'em Up, Ride'em down. Yes VolFalcon we are having brats. It's Italian night for the Touchdown club, I don't know if brats are Italian I think of them as southern hotdogs. Satch, you and the little ump are welcome. Everybody usually brings something, some cold drinks or what ever is convenient will be fine. After we eat I want to see some smash mouth football. I want to see the Falcons play as a team and give all they have. I know what kind of team they are. I Just want them to start it up Friday night. The seniors will take control and lead the team. I guess we'll start around 5:30, it being a chiefs game the lot will fill up fast. we'll be to the right of the field house. Bring a dish and come on down.

It does seem slow for the week of the Hawkins County Super Bowl. I know it will pick up. Yes I also thought our QB did a good enough job to win. If we score at the end of the half and get the extra point to go up 7-6, I think it would have been a different game. That games history and Friday nights game is all we should think about. Don't forget "Meet the Panthers" at the Church Hill Middle School today start time is 4:30. Come on down and show your support. I think they will have some food so ya don't have to cook. We have more then a few freshmen that can help at a given time. Things look bright at Volunteer. I don't think we will have any trouble getting up for this weeks game. I want to put it to them Chiefs. My buddie Volfalcon looks so forward to playing his friends down the road. Drink water and don't stay in the ac all week.

Dang,, page 6 ain't gonna cut it with this bunch,, I'm gonna bump it up. It was a loss and I can take it. I think we grew. Give Boone their due, good hard fought win. They were big on first downs in the last half,, 5 to 9 yards and took control. Good job O coach. Our line gave the QB Time, But we ned to be better in the trenches. I know we've got the man power. We just gotta put'em on their backs more. I think we looked a little worn at the last. I know that will be worked on, on the field and at home,, drink more water guys. What have them Chiefs got in mind for the Faalcons? They's gonna be a smash mouthing for somebody to take,, and I hope we can bring it to'em.

I'm going with 24-6 Volunteer. I think our QB will do just fine. Backer is right sometimes things like this bring a team together. Good luck Falcons. Let's do it line, they'll have their ears pinned back trying to pressure the QB till we burn'em a few times as they blitz, and we have some that can do it.

I think you were a little tough on folks here. You sound like you have an axe to grind. I went back and read the posts and most were up beat and from people that care about Charles. You jump in here from nowhere and want to down everybody. How have you helped Charles? No one said anything about why he left. Charles is going to school in Twin Springs and that's that. We worked on the banks on the ends of the bleachers last night, got one side done. We will be cleaning up again today around four. We also have a Touchdown meeting this evening at 6:00p.m. in the music room as we prepare for the Feast and meet the Falcons Thursday.

Rumors are just that, RUMORS. Everybody needs to just "simmer down now." I can't get over how far and wide this has got. Nothing was said to any football player by any football coach. What ever happens I just want it to be good for Chucky, (I just can't get used to calling him Charles,)I will try harder. I think the world of him and his family. We sure have put a lot on this young mans shoulders. He has big shoulders but everybody wants a piece of Charles and he can't be what everbody wants him to be. Keep your head up little Chuck we all love ya and only want what's best for you!

Well Magnus if ya go through and pick out all the negative post it may sound that way. Some folks did see some things that should not be happening, and posted them on here. I don't like airing dirty laundry. I think they got it off their chest and moved on. You need not apologize any more then the others that may have been judgemental, because that's the way they saw it. I think we are ready to play. We are always behind the Falcons. Give us a little insight on the Boone game from your view.

Hey 96, I see you went 18 and 8 on the big ones contest. That's better then I did. You'll have to give me a few sure winners next week. You're my go to guy.

Here we go... We're "running wild, out of control, inmates in charge, sad, sad, sad, and everybody wants to tell us what we need to do." Folks have been heard to say they have never heard anything like it in their life, that's entire life! I think we're ready. We have the attention of the coacht regulars but the game is played on the field on a Friday night, not on coacht. I do not think we are as good as we can be today, but Game day is what counts. We have so many that are just waiting to show us what they can do and my hopes are that they can pull it off. Boone will work on our secondary. Our first move must be to back peddle and read and not crowd the line as much as we usually do. I think they will play the DB offense, (Duran, Duran) not worry about establishing the run, just open it up and try to go down field. We must use ball control offense and the line has to be in fourth quarter shape. Our defense will have to get pressure to their QB and the defensive ends have to stay home because he will tuck and run. I talk a good game, just like all the other coacht regulars. I just hope what ever we do...it works. Play to win, be aggressive, and stay on your blocks. You make your own luck.

Now that's what I wanted to hear! Senior leadership will make the difference and the leaders will Police their own program. You do have winning genes 96 and I know you have as much desire to win as anyone. Have a good year and a winning season.

All in all we have to stay upbeat. Stay with us, things will work out. My glass is still half full. Shucks, at least wait till after the first game. Boone will be a tough.

I think Volunteer starts with North Aug. 26th. I look for a contender to come out of Volunteer's freshmen class. This will be the same bunch from Church Hill Middle School that were in the playoffs last year. Add the athletes from Surgoinsville Middle School to this squad and let's see what happens. What does your team look like?

Thanks 96, you're are dependable man, a kind of go to guy. We have a TD meeting Tuesday, can you give us a time on the Unicoi scrimmage. We may move the meeting time up or move it to Wednesday. In the weeks to come we will get a few visitors trying to stir us up. Let's all try to ingnore them and keep this thread upbeat and about Volunteer football. Good luck in Unicoi, I hope to be there.
