  1. FREE High Fives for everyone who voted!!! Now lets leave politics out of this. sound like a plan?
  2. tajh boyd has the speed to make running a viable option in the spread. he's no Mike Vick... err... uhh... well you get the idea. he's fast enough.
  3. for a touch more clarification, the field is plastic blades of grass, with ground rubber filler. it's nothing like astro turf. you can still wear cleats on it. it's amazing to walk on. i only with i could've played on it... clear things up any?
  4. Just take it from a Dobyns Bennet Fan from '06 when video showed that a 1st quarter 92 yards touchdown pass was improperly called back, and a second quarter touchdown reception was incorrectly called an incompletion because the reciever was "out of bounds", sometimes the football gods just dont look to kindly on some of us. it happens. life moves on. trust me.
  5. I like how nobody bashed on jordan(aformentioned # 18) early in the season when he was playing well. Jordan works as hard if not harder than anyone on the DB roster. any one who has been to a few practices should know that. Anyone who has played a sport at any organized level knows that you have bad streaks every once in a while, so for a lack of a better term, please, get off jordan's balls. (can i say that on here?) Having said that, GC better get his hind quarters in gear, or else this will be no more than a replay of '05 or '06 (depending on if the zebras make a huge impact on the game) I am very sorry to hear that Coach Coughenour passed. In my 4 years at DB and my 2 at Sevier participating in Track and Field Coach was always there helping, doing his thing. he'll be missed and never forgotten. I can only imagine what they'll name after him.
  6. very similar, but as i recall Sevier County threw the ball alot more then than Sciencce Hill does now. And i believe Kinley is a step or so faster.
  7. for the record, i was standing near the endzone for the Safety/ no call TD. Definitely a safety. half the pile was out of the endzone by the time the ball was "recovered"...
  8. I'll second that one. There should be no respect out there for people who get on here with a newly made name with the sole intent of making other people suffer through their stupidity.
  9. all i'll say is 32 running the ball last friday night looked like the 32 from a couple years back. I belive they called him the Juggernaut then, and i see no reason to start seeing some of the parallels between the two. (even though one was a senior at the time and this one is a freshman.)
  10. I think the higher seed has home field in the third round, with the tie breaker being an alternating system going to region 2 this year. I think. Ex: If DB and Ooltewah are both 1 seeds and meet in the 3rd round, then the game would be at Ooltewah because they have the tie breaker as aforementioned. But if DB were to go to the 3rd round, and Ooltewah to falter, then DB would have home field over whom ever they play due to their higher seed in their region. Im pretty sure thats how that works... IT
  11. all i heard was that ODHS hasnt given up any yard or any TD's on Defense yet this year... Just what I heard though...
  12. I talked to Trevor today. He said that the MRI showed no tears just a stretched MCL. He also said that he had an x-ray of his ankle and there were no breaks, just a sprained ankle. He is projected to be back for the game against Science Hill. While Big Trev is out, Boggan will start in place of him at center, with Patrick Fleming taking Boggan's place at left tackle. John Mark Bouchillion is also supposed to be back in the next few weeks. Ive heard around the rumor mill that Brandon Thompson is going to take snaps as an offensive linemen this week, but like I said just a rumor... Roll Tribe IT
  13. The Indians beat the daylights out of themselves with penalties and the little things. And yes the performance by the zebras was poor, but the great teams overcome things like that.
  14. Puddin i think youve got it all wrong about DB people like #20. they are the kind of people that make DB what it is. besides, the lude gestures that were made pale in comparison to the shirts the South students made for the game.
