One other thing, you missed the best 1A half time show you'll see this year. Community and Cascade's bands performed last week and I don't think you'll ever see two better 1A bands on the same field at halftime............ Okay, I'm not editing this post because I have myself wondering if I'm talking to the right person. For some reason I was thinking that Lee was "VoiceoftheRockets"... Do I have the right person or not?

A Lewisburg lady wrote a letter to the editor a couple of weeks ago complaning about how Chapel Hill (Forrest) got all the coverage. BooHoo. We got the short end of the stick for a lot of years. The online version isn't worth much.

I just watched the Olympics a few days ago. If those are sports, then so is marching band. You practice your skill, you must be in good shape to be truly competitive, it requires practice and discipline and you are rewarded with a score when you compete. Has all the markings of a sport.

Then why isn't football in the Olympics?

Depends on what editing software your using. For some you don't have to change anything.

It would be one thing if it was at a high school field but come on this is MTSU.. Have you been there? It's pretty dog gone big. Don't even know if you would even hear the band on the field from the stands.

I've been reading This Mess About Cascade11 And It Sickens Me. I Came to The Cascade/JoByrns Game After Chatting With Cascade11 And After going to Some Of The JoByrns Games As Well. Now You Have Labled Him Incorrectly. You Say He Is A Dad Of A Kid That Doesn't Play. Aint His Kid A Freshman? And A Kicker? But Let Me Say This Cascade11 Is Very Knowledgeful Of The Kids That Do Play. Because He Gave Me An Earful While I Was At The Game. And While He Posts Alot On CoachT So Do I. So Do Alot Of Others. And I Can Remember How Fondly He Spoke Of Your Son Playing Through Injuries. As He Did Alot Of Others. When The Kid Came Out In The Wheelchair For The 1,000 Dollar Field Goal He Was Beaming Of Respect For The Kid And His Family. He Also Told me The Field Goal Substitue Kicker Was A Ringer And That He Was The Cascade Kicking Record Holder. Now Have Your Problems With Him As You May. And Say What You Want Of Me. I Just Wish You Could Have Been Standing Next to Us When He Was Bragging On Your Son And His Toughnest. I Would Like To Think It Would Have Made you Proud Because It Did Me And I Don't Know Your Son. But Cascade11 Did And He Told Me Of Alot Of Others On The Team. And Who Was Expecting to Take The Place Of The Graduating Class. Now He May Be A Sore Loser Which I Think Is An Understatement LOL. But A True Cascade Fan He Definately Is.

I doubt very seriously that the Band at UT is bigger than most sports at THAT school. Bigger than what, Football, basketball (m or W), baseball, softball, track - what sport are we talking about.

 

Also, if band is a sport, then I guess band members are Athletes?????

I think they meant bigger in size. 65 on the football team, 10-12 on b-ball, 20 or so on baseball and softball. 150 or so in the band.
