  1. I agree you have to have players who want to play the game and have the ability to work on their own. You cant expect to be a good player coming to the field taking a couple rounds of infield and 1 round of batting practice and become a good player overnight. It takes a lot of hard work and I believe we have only a few kids that are willing to work and put in the extra time it takes to become not only a good baseball player but to become a good baseball team. And I am like Deke Rivers not only does it not start the first day of practice but when the season is over and we have very few kids who are willing to sacrifice there summer to play baseball and make themselves better players.
  2. Thoughts and prayers from the Unaka Ranger fans and community please keep us in your prayers as well our former principal and long time basketball fan John Fine passed away due to battling cancer please keep his family in your prayers as well. Coach RC
  3. Well to start off by saying I am an assistant girls coach at Unaka HighSchool if that tells you who I am if not just ask I am not ashamed to state my Identity. On the other hand I just thought I would share some love as well on here with all you other fans. First I would like to start off by saying that I am glad that tournament time is around the corner things have been a little shakey this year for my old Ranger boys after some diciplinary problems from a couple of players and injuries they have struggled quite a bit. But I do respect the way they have been playing to be playing with the young lineup they are putting out on the floor every night I know its tough for Coach Snavely having to deal with all of this but Unaka has a great coaching staff who works hard at what they do and Unaka can only get better not only come tournament time but in the future as well. They have a strong eighth grade, freshman and sophmore class coming up and I believe that is where it really starts for Unaka is it's youth. Most of the kids love playing the game just dont really understand the varsity level quite yet but it takes time and we all know how good of a teacher of the game coach Snavely is and he will get the best out of not only his older players but the younger ones as well. As far as the tournaments go it is really hard to say who will go all the way this year. All four teams are loaded with talent I guess it's just the way some of the teams matchup against eachother. Hampton has really good guards but they really dominate on the inside. Cloudland is a very patient fundemental team who dont really have that one star player that stands out they just play really well as a team. University High seemed to have a great season this year not to mention how great of a player Aaron Woodacre has become over the past two years. Unaka I belive can give some teams some fits when they are shooting the ball very good and playing tough on the defensive end. Some of the younger players are going to have to step up and look to score more and take some pressure off of Andrew and Brandon which from watching the last game you can see that some of the younger players feel more comfortable playing now as the season has progressed. But I wish the best of luck to all of the teams this upcoming week and hopefully we will see some very good games played. Coach RC
  4. Donald Ensor of course 2003-2004 TSSAA coach of the year and won a state championship last year with Unaka.
  5. Or you could go win a state title like we did just a thought?
  6. Unaka will make it to the state again that is almost a lock because district will be a cake walk. regionals is horrible north greene beat hancock by 15 so that tells you something about region 2.The only team unaka has to worry about is rockwood or cosby and unaka will not lose the district or region so substate at home is for sure. So thats the game they have to get prepared for after the regionals because u can bank on cosby wanting revenge if it comes to that point so the road to the goldball still goes through unaka like it or not we earned our respect last year by winning all 3 games we was the better team and we came out on top like it or not were the state champions and we still got a chance at prevailing once again
  7. Happy Valley got beat by Daniel Boone the other night Unaka beat boone by about 8 or 9 so what do you got to say for yourselves Happy Valley .
  8. Yea since bayless did help build the school we can see why he has so many wins. But we all know that coach Ensor is a whole lot better coach than Bayless.
  9. why dont you guys win your region first than get on here and start talking because you always end up at the house when were playing in the big games you was at home last year while we was winning a state championship so what do you think of that.
  10. Your funny how about we just bring our gold ball and sit it in the middle of your floor because thats the closest you will ever get to touching it or winning it yea were single A so what you got more kids than unaka does so there for not our fault call tssaa and let them here your sempathy worry about your own classification because you guys are always getting put out in either districts or regionals when were advancing because you guys dont show up half the time to play and we will be ready for the warriors next time we play because not only do we have the best coaches between us and you but we have the better players and we will show it when we invade the tee pee next time we play you guys and then we will see whos on here talking.
  11. Tonight unaka defeated a good division 2 chatanooga mcallie team it was great. The Disciples student section had Mcallie way off guard causing them to airball 3 in a row and had #5 walter dozier crying midway through the 4th quarter all together was a team and Disciple effort not to mention the great coaching we have on the sidelines. When teams come to snavely gymnasium from now on they will know who the disciples are and if they dont we will make sure by the end of the night they do. mcallie i believe had a total of 6 airballs tonight if im not mistaken and a numerous amount of turnovers with # 5 worrying about us the whole night we didnt have to worry about him doing anything. So everyone get ready when you come to snavely because at the end of the night you will know who the disciples are thumb UHS 2004 STATE CHAMPIONS.
  12. To bad temple couldnt stop unaka last year in the state when it counted and unaka is ready to play tonight and i can tell you it wont be no 30 point game unaka by 3
  13. Ahh we dont worry about spelling to much up here on the creek portvol.and yea it took us a while to form HVWARRIOR58 but we had to do some big time recruiting so we are pretty loaded now you guys at the valley plan on coming and watching us this year at the Burro again or you want to see if we can get you guys tickets or something seeing the fact that you guys missed out on seeing us win it all last year thats not good at all we was hoping you would have been in attendance. But ohh well The DICIPLES WILL BE READY FOR ANY TEAMS WHO COME TO SNAVELY FROM NOW ON AND YOU CAN COUNT ON IT STARTING TOMORROW NIGHT.
  14. unaka highschool has now got one of the baddest student sections around know as DONALDS DICIPLES referring to tssaa coach of the year in all classifications donald ensor. The DICIPLES are ready for the big showdown tomorrow against The TENNESSEE TEMPLE CRUSADERS and they will be led by none other than JOSH I BANG IN MY PINK TEE ELLIS, RUSS THE BUS CHAMBERS, AND THE REST OF DONALDS DICIPLES will be on hand as well they are the motivators of the student section and Ellis dont cut anybody no slack someone could be hurt on the court and Josh is there to make things worse as along with the other Diciples. 15. Unaka Highschool has by far the best student section around Tennessee we get our name from by far the best coach in Tennessee Donald Ensor which is TSSAA coach of the year in all classifications we are known as "DONALDS DICIPLES". He should be elected next president in the United States because he is just that darn good and you know your student section is good when you have about 50 other kids from other school in your student section getting wild dont worry temple and mcallie will know who we are come tomorrow night leader of the pack is none other than JOSH WILDMAN ELLIS on the verge of getting kicked out of a game.
