  3. Blue, yes it was a whoop'in, but to respond to an earlier post, I was not humiliated, just disappointed. I knew that Ryan would be tough this year when I saw their team last year and I was right. I knew that MBA was loaded at the top, and I was right about that too. They are both very good teams. I tip my hat to them. The reason I am writing is because of the bridesmaid comment. I generally don't write on boards, just post scores, but I have a question? Why is the opinion of West Tenn wrestling so low? How many teams in the state could have done better against MBA or Ryan? Just curious. Out of the 130 some odd schools that wrestle in Tennessee, how many would have done better? OK, Bradley, Soddy, McCallie, Baylor, maybe Cleveland and Clarksville, then who??????? I am not attacking anyone or any school. If I missed a school that should be on this list, I apologize. We have traveled all over the state in the last year and a half and have dualed Ryan, MBA, Bradley, McCallie and Cleveland and been in tournaments with just about everyone else. Is it because we don't have a team in the top 5? Let me know... Chris Lewis CBHS

  10. I have to agree with KKW, they will wrestle anyone and duck no one. They wrestle DII schools. We are wrestling in their tournament in December. For the record, I believe that most DII school's oppose the complete split and the split in general. Contrary to popular belief, most do no give athletic scholarships. Aid is given on a need basis, to anyone, period. We do not have a wrestler on out team that receives aid. They all pay in full. If we recruit so well, our recruiting director (if we have one) should be fired! Also, Bradley Central does not boycott all DII schools, we wresteld them last year. No one seems to remember that? Lastly, I do not think that the DII schools intend on wrestling in the Prep Nationals, despite what a couple schools may want. Competition is a good thing, we should wrestle everyone. A couple of school do not represent the entire body of DII schools. Chris Lewis CBHS
  11. You dont know much about wrestling do you, if you watch the matches they had last year you could see the reason scott won was because he was a lot stronger there marable.
  12. The argument that over whether their is anyone who can compete with Bradley Central and Soddy Daisy in West Tennessee is ridiculous. How many teams in the state can actually claim that they can? You can count them on one hand and most of them would be DII schools. West Tennessee wrestling is improving, without question. The best teams in Memphis this year in no particular order should be CBHS, Houston, Westside, Collierville.
  13. Marable pinned Goodman at the State Freestyle Tournament
  14. Christian Brothers in Memphis has a dynamo on the Freshman staff. Joey Harris has made himself a fine defensive co-ordinator. He coached softball at St. Bebndict and CBU, but I believe his future may be football!!!
  15. That all depends on whether Marable (CBHS) goes 189 or 171? [Edited by papbear3 on 10-7-02 12:45P]
