  1. Do you realize that almost the "whole town of Hartsville " will also be there to watch this game?
  2. . It's nice to show the world that we do more than just play football here. Anyone who's never seen Johnathon Ford play should come on over to the game with us next week. He's incredible to watch. BEST OF LUCK TO THE JACKETS!!!!
  3. With all the hype on these posts, I hope ALL Jacket fans realize the importance of crowd support for our boys. Our fans were really good some of the time last week, but you could tell not all were into the game. I want to ask EVERY Jacket fan to show up on the creekbank Friday night with some kind of jug, shaker, horn, or something and TO USE THEM ALL NIGHT LONG. One of the players told me last week that on the field, they don't ever hear anything from the stands because they are concentrating on the game. I hope the JAcket fans are SOOOOOO loud this week that the boys WILL hear us and know how much we are behind them. Our boys need the support not only when they are on top, but also if or when they are behind. Come on Jacket fans, let's show Fulton what the CREEKBANK is really like!!!!!!!!!! GO BIG JACKETS!!!!!!! Also, if you happen to see any of the Jackets between now and Friday, give that kid a pat on the back and tell him how much you appreciate his efforts. [Edited by purplegoldfan on 11-26-02 10:26A]
  4. As always, you gotta count on the Jackets of Trousdale County to be tough. Although we lose some key people this year, we have some young ones to reload with.
  5. Hey Queenie, I'll bet there are several Jacket fans who would let you borrow some of their royal purple to wear next week!!! Heck, we'll even let you wear it tonight if you want to!!!!!!See ya at the game!!!!
  6. Did anyone ever think some coaches might also take into consideration the players' safety? This is playoff time and losing some essential players due to a slip in bad field conditions could be detremental to the team not to mention the player himself. I know there are a lot of things to be considered in postponing a game, and I'm sure coaches take everything into consideration. Are we sure that we know exactly what decision we would make in their position??? Give the coaches credit. They made a decision that was within their power and that's it.
  7. Scooby, you say you didn't insult either coach? Most people would take being called a liar an insult. Didn't you accuse Satterfield of lying about the field? That not only insulted Satterfield, but the entire Trousdale County program.
  8. I agree with you, Mama Jacket! Might even be a little bit worse this time! GO BIG JACKETS!!! CREEKBANK AGAIN!!!!
  9. hey pappa, make sure 66 knows how many jacket fans will be cheering for his return this week. We've missed watching him! GO JACKETS!!!!
  10. O.K., Del, we get the message! This purple and gold yellow jacket fan won't be as vague as you. My bet goes with the TC purple and gold. (Hope you get someone to take your $100 bet!)
  11. How do you define small town? You've had responses from 1A, 2A, and 3A schools. I would consider "small town" to mean 1 or 2A size. Taking that into consideration, remember that Trousdale County is the smallest county in the state and is, by number at the top of 1A qualifications or at the bottom of 2A qualifications(even though we play in 3A). The years that TC has gone to the Clinic Bowl, even the banks and most of the businesses in Hartsville close up so that everyone can attend the game. That has got to be the best "small town" BIG team. [Edited by purplegoldfan on 10-25-02 10:11A] [Edited by purplegoldfan on 10-25-02 10:14A]
  12. Does that mean there will be a tdown called back on a questionable call tonight too, or does that mean the high school coach also shows tapes of his opponents' games to his team?( Although it's not ILLEGAL in Jr. High, it's not very respectable.) No, Dyer wouldn't do that. He's got a little more ethics than that. [Edited by purplegoldfan on 10-18-02 12:48P]
  13. I like the big bleachers, but Macon wont score Trousdale 30 Macon 0 Now Pappa, I've seen you at enough of these Jacket games to know that you have to believe the score will be bigger than that. Have you forgotten about the trouble our Jr. Hi has in Macon Co. this year. I think we will score as much as possible in the first three quarters and then the starters will take a siesta during the 4th. My prediction: JACKETS 48 TIGERS 10 [Edited by purplegoldfan on 10-18-02 12:26P]
  14. What will we all do after tonight's game? Will there be anything to talk about then? Of course there will be. SOme will be cheering and some will be crying. I hope there will be just as many opinions posted afterwards as there have been predictions. I'll look forward to hearing all of them. GO JACKETS!!!! (Oops, I almost forgot to put up my prediction.) JACKETS - 35 OWLS - 12
  15. Tippy...Your line about being a Jacket fan and always being one...win or lose...that's what being a fan is all about... It's good you realize that it's children playing and not adults...I think sometimes we get carried away...(fan and Twan especially!!!)...thinking that the team is a professional team...of course...on Friday night...it's gonna be like that...the emotions are going to be running high...the atmosphere is going to be all football...dang...I can't wait...GO BROWNS!!!...I mean...GO OWLS!!! I'm really glad to know that there are a few football fans, Jackets and Owls, that do realize this is a HIGH SCHOOL game involving our children. I hope all the other fans who attend Friday's game can put it in perspective and be what they should be for the kids! Fans can influence the players a lot. Let's hope all the Owls and Jacket fans can influence these boys in the right way.
  16. Apparently you were not at the FRA-Trousdale Co. game or you could have seen that the 104 yard interception was not the "game winner". First, the officiating was some of the worst I've ever seen at the high school level(on both sides of the ball). Second, even though the jackets were not in top form, they were still the best team in all aspects, athleticism, coaching staff, and conditioning.
