North Side beat Liberty Tech tonight by a score of 99-50 (reported wrong on the scoreboard). The first quater was 20-16 with a lead by Liberty, but then North Side started playing defense and North SIde out scored Liberty 31-4 in the second quarter so at half it was 47-24. North Side played really well and every member of the North Side varsity team scored at least 2 points, so I will not list everyone. The leadig scorers were Ramone Williams with 17, Richard Delk 15, and Jeff Gray with 10. I believe too JMSBalla33 that North SIde took the ball to the basket. North Side starters got to rest alot tonight. North Side now finishes its pre-Christmas season tomorrow at Ridgeway. Then they play in a Christmas tourney with Austin-East on Dec. 26 and Memphis Melrose on Dec. 27.

North Side beat Boliver by 7 and Reginald Delk did not even play his game. He was nervous because of a scout in the audience and was ice cold. Bolivar is not all that.

JMSballa33 we had a bad game against South Side. Wait till Jan 8 when we play again. Did you see the Ridgeway game where we beat the runner-up in state last year or did you see the Bolivar game where we beat Bolivar the team that barely lost to Giles Co in substate last year. South Side was one game that preformed poorly. THey are 7-1 and they have played a very tough schedule thus far. I would like to see a team that has played a harder schedule. Ramone Williams right now is shining for us. He is averaging 20 points a game. Reginald and Richard are not playig poorly but they have not found their groove. North Side has a very good team that could easily go to state if they play consistently. THursday night we have a home game against Liberty who we played poorly aginst the first time because 3 of Liberty;s players were on our JV last year so when we would call a play they could counter it. THen Friday we play at Ridgeway in what should be a great game. THen we are off til after Christmas.

I was wondering if anyone knew anything about Austin East? Who are their best shooters? How big are they and how big is their center? Can they adjust to defenses? Are they easily pressured? North Side improved to 6-1 after it beat Haywodd handily last night. Haywood shot very poorly, I believe it was like 24%. North Side was up 22-5 after the first quarter. Much of the bench got playing time, and the starters did not play much in the second half. North Side was led by Richard Delk with 17 points, Reginald Delk with 16 points, Jarell Shanklin with 12, Dell Coleman had a double - double with 10 points ad 10 rebounds, Ramone had 9 points, Quetin Hurd had 7, Jeff Gray had 4, Randall Forrest had 3, Reggie Corrbins had2, Zak Boylan had 2, and Michael Blankenship had 2. North Side just smothered Haywood defensively. North Side plays Ripley Friday, then they are off until next THursday when they play Liberty, and Friday they play at Ridgeway.

North Side lost last night to South Side. South Side came to play where North Side did not. South Side won 76-67. Yeah the refs stunk, but North Side should have walked away with this game hands down. South Side was led by Wayne Chism with 22, Jeremy Weddle had 19, Chico Ellison had 11, and Victor McGee had 10. South Side only goes 6 deep and they have nothing. North Side had one player come to shoot and 2 players came to rebound. Jarrel Shanklin had 2 points and 8 rebounds, Dell Coleman had 11 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 assists, Ramon Williams had 21 points and 3 steals, Richard Delk had 12 points, Reginald Delk had 13 points, and Randall Forrest had 8 points. North Side was 24% from 3 point land like 7 for 29. THey were only 50% for free throw. North Side plays at Humboldt Friday and is home against Bolton on Saturday.

How can you not rank Jackson North Side? THey beat Ridgeway by 25. It was not even a game, North Side's 3 posts dominated along with Sha Brooks the best player in West Tennessee. You can put North Side in the Top 10.

I know a few details now. Buzz Peterson flew in to Lexington on his jet to see the game. Reginald Delk knew this and shot nervously going 5 for 17. The leading scorer was Ramon Williams with 17. We got good bench play with Reggie Corrbins, Randall Forrest, and Zak Boylan. Zak Boylan had some great block shots on Willie Kemp where Zak just palmed the ball to the floor, but of course the referee somehow saw a foul. If Reginald would have hittig the score could have been much worse.

Coach Terry Hill at North Side is one of the best coaches in Tenessee. He has a team of talent now, but he has done great things with little talent. One instance I can remember is in 1999 when North Side fiished last in the district regular season, but won the district and regional title, and they almost went to state but they lost to a Raliegh-Egypt team led by Scooter McFaggdon.

I was uable to be at the game so I do not have details but North Side won 65-57. North Side plays at South Side on Tuesday, at Humboldt on Friday, and home against region foe Bolton on Sat.

North Side beat Liberty Tuesday night after beating Ridgeway Monday. NS was very tired after a hard battle the night before. The score was 82-68. NS shot 61% and 64% from free throw. Liberty shot 59%. Ramone led the way with 22 points, 4 assists, and 7 rebounds. Jerrell Shanklin had 14 points, 6 rebound, 5 steals. Dell Coleman had 7 points, Richard Delk had 10 points, Reginald Delk had 16 points, Quinton Hurd had 1 point, and a Randall Forrest had 12 point and hit 4 straight 3s. Liberty was led by Jewan Wilson with 13, Quentin Wynn with 10, and Quincy Wynn with 10. Three of Liberty's starters were on NS's JV last year, so any time we called an offense they knew how to counter it. North Side now plays Bolivar Saturday night at the Lexington Tourney.

I would like to make some comments on the refs too. They made many calls in Ridgeway's favor. The female was too worried about making sure the shirts were tucked in. The black guy can not stand North Side and in the last 5 minutes he took the game over to try and decide a winner for himself. They let the game get way out of hand especially with the torn jersey and bloody nose. He did not get a bloody nose and torn jersey from playing basketball. It happen on an illegal screen where Niles threw an elbow. Ridgeway plays way too agressive, and Niles is not that good, he just thinks he can manhandle his way and it can not happen. And as he told Caliapri that he is going straight to the NBA, he would never in a million years make it out of high school. Niles was completely dominated by Dell Coleman. I thought the refs were Ridgeway bias.

I am here with the details. For game news Jerrell Shanklin is fine after taking and elbow to the nose during the game, and having his jersey ripped. He returned to the game and played well. Now to the game. It was a great game where many college scouts where present including John Calliapari of Memphis. Both teams came out with great intesity. North Side won 72-69. Jerrell Shanklin had 8 points, Dell Coleman had 15 points and 7 rebounds, Ramone Williams had 13 points, Richard Delk had 11 points, Zak Boylan had 1 point, and leading the way Reginald Delk had 24 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 steals. North Side only shot 47% from the field and 60% from the free throw line. North Side did miss many free throws that could have helped put the game away. Ridgeway shot 60% from the field and 48% from free throw line. The big story coming in the game was the Pierre Niles transfer from Treadwell. I can say that he is not that great he shot pretty bad, scored only 8, and got in foul trouble. Michael Rice only had 10. NS played good defense. The only problem was the inability to get offensive rebounds. North Side now plays Liberty tomorrow and Boivar Saturday in a THanksgiving TOurney in Lexington.

I think that one of the best shooters in West TN is Ramone Williams of Jackson North Side. He can shoot lights out. He will be a very important player this year for North Side because most teams will focus on stopping the Delks.

Jackson NOrth Side played Dyer Co. and won by 18, then they played Fayette Ware on THursday and won by 16.

Jackson North Side hasa great chance of going to state. They have the Delk twins, Dell Coleman, Jerrell Shanklin, and Ramon Williams. Every starter is returning plus wehave Zak Boylan and Reggie Corbins off the bench returning.

Bartlett should win this game hands down. Bartlett is a very very good defensive team. We played them in the regional finals and lost in the second set of PKs. The game was over 2 and a half hours long. Bartlett will be a tough team to beat because every player attacks the ball well.

The regional final tonight between North Side and Bartlett was a heartbreaker. The game ended scoreless after regualtion with both teams having great chances to score. THey went through overtime tied 0-0. THe they went to PKs and through the first set of five it ended tied 3-3. BUt in the second set Bertlett took it 5-4. Now North Side will have to travel to Houston and Collierville will go to Bartlett. This game was great defensive battle.

Jackson North Side has a great chance to make it to state this year. THis is the farthest that a North Side soccer team has ever been in the tournament. They have so many ways that they can score with so many scorers. If they can beat Bartlett again tonight at home they will get Collierville who is according to www.soccerinfo.com has a record of 3-7-3. They just have to beat Bartlett tonight.

Trinity turn around has come thanks to their new coach. He is really awesome at soccer. He plays in an indoor league in Brazil, and he is very well known. Like if he was walking down the street in Brazil people would recogize him. He has done great things with this team, but I do not think they are up to par with you Westview. Good Luck, Westview.

Yes the Delk twins are awesome, and they are great boys to work with. I am a graduate assistant on their high school team and I really enjoy working with them. They could really go far and do things like their uncle is doing now. Yes the have a sister Geniveve Delk who used to play for North Side Lady Indians, and now she is at South Alabama Univ. starting and averaging about 10 points in the Sun Belt Conference. Many say that Richard and Reginald's father was better than his brother Tony. They say could hit some great shots. He went to Lambuth University in Jackson. The only thing that hurt him was that he played before the 3-point line was instated and he was a 3-point shooter. (He is older than Tony.)

Where is this district's district tourney being held?

The Liberty girls coachig position is filled. Coach Joe Holloway will be the new head coach. Holloway coached North Side for many years through the late 80s and 90s. THe assistant coach is Audrey Hunt who is the head coach of Jackson Middle School, which I believe is abad selection. The North Side coaching position has been offered to a person who I know, but it can not be revealed right now. If he takes the job tha no one else will be considered. There have 15 applicants for the head coaching position at North Side, but one will be considered unless it is not taken by the guy mentioned above.

How can you say that North Side does not have many good shooters? They average 4 goals a game. David Oesch, #13, the one that got the PK on you has about 27 goals this season. He is signing a DI scholarship to a team in North Carolina. Our Czech transfer has great placement of the ball. He is a great shooter, and he had a PK on you, but you made an awesome save. To add there is Edquardo Castenado, Aaron Shepard, and Hunter Gray who can all score. To say that North Side has few shooters is wrong. We also have an awesome goalkeeper who averages less than one goal a game for the other team. We have only lost one game all season to JCM because we basically quit in the second half kind of like what you guys did against Haywood.

That the ref on the side of the field of the players also screwed you guys out of five minutes of game time which would have given you guys plenty of time to score. Westview out played us most of the second half, and Westview wanted it more, but you could not get it in the goal.
