  1. Cloudland - Mark Byrd (great athlete who could play QB for the right college)

Cumberland Gap - Corey Russell (prototypical mobile pocket passer)

MBA - Michael Fisher (athletic kid, strong arm)

Ridgeway - Will Hudgens (strong arm, good size)

Smyrna - David Wolke (strong, athletic)

Wartburg - John Armes (great athlete, probably moves to another position in col.)

  2. Dude, what are you smoking?? Heck yea they are that good, they haven't lost in 10 years, and they don't play weak teams. Most of the teams they play are better than 99% of the teams in Tennessee. You are full of it, if you don't think they are that good!!!!

  3. Forgot to add my thoughts as I was creating the topic. I really believe this game is a toss up if both teams play well and it is fairly turnover free. From what I can gather both team's top players will be on the field at the same time all night (Corey Russell QB for C.G.H.S and Nathan Potter LB for R.H.S). My official pick would have to be even with the winner capitalizing on a TO or big play.

  4. You hit the nail on the head with Russell. He is a very, very good QB and does have some talent around him. I have spoken with some people who were able to Russell when he was at MTSU's camp and all were impressed. The area of concern for Cumberland Gap is their depth, they are not deep at any position on the field.

  5. raocoach,

I was just about to add Corey Russell until I read your post. He is a great QB prospect. I have seen him at 2 different camps this summer and was impressed both times. He has a strong accurate arm and is very polished with his mechanics and footwork. A little undersized, but he looks very young.

p.s. I will have to check him out on the isiders, have not yet done so.

  6. Hey Pujo,

I am not disrespecting you, because you are a man of great wisdom, but I have to remind you of something. Cloudland has had their behinds handed to them the last two years, face it, THEY CAN'T COMPETE WITH THE PRIVATE SCHOOLS because they recruit better players than Cloudland.

  7. Hey Guys,

I have a little secret for you. You don't have to be invited, letters were mailed out to every school in the state, for every senior to be that wants to play college football. There will be no big schools there, but it is a good chance for a unknown player to be recognized by a school.

I`ve never seen either team play, but I`m predicting Cloudland to romp all over Powell Valley. Powell Valley hasn`t beaten an instate school (don`t know about the 2 out of state schools) with a quality record.

    Cloudland 49

    Powell Valley 6

    kvols1,

How can you justify a prediction if you have not seen either team play? Do you have some inside information about Cloudland or Powell Valley?
