  1. Croach, I have not seen Edmiston and that is why I did not mention him, but a friend of mine from Lincoln Co. says he has great size and is an unreal athlete. Will he play QB in college or will he be labeled as an "athlete"?
  2. Cloudland - Mark Byrd (great athlete who could play QB for the right college) Cumberland Gap - Corey Russell (prototypical mobile pocket passer) MBA - Michael Fisher (athletic kid, strong arm) Ridgeway - Will Hudgens (strong arm, good size) Smyrna - David Wolke (strong, athletic) Wartburg - John Armes (great athlete, probably moves to another position in col.)
  3. krichunaka, I'm obviously not kevb, but I can confirm: Cumberland Gap QB Corey Russell is the same QB from a year ago at Powell Valley.
  4. Dude, what are you smoking?? Heck yea they are that good, they haven't lost in 10 years, and they don't play weak teams. Most of the teams they play are better than 99% of the teams in Tennessee. You are full of it, if you don't think they are that good!!!!
  5. ESPN, that's funny tell Hirbstreet and Corso Hey for me. Mean time start a thread of your own this is for Cumberland Gap and Rutledge!
  6. What do you think Cumberland Gap fans?
  7. Forgot to add my thoughts as I was creating the topic. I really believe this game is a toss up if both teams play well and it is fairly turnover free. From what I can gather both team's top players will be on the field at the same time all night (Corey Russell QB for C.G.H.S and Nathan Potter LB for R.H.S). My official pick would have to be even with the winner capitalizing on a TO or big play.
  8. Are you going to the game? How do you think it will go?
  9. You hit the nail on the head with Russell. He is a very, very good QB and does have some talent around him. I have spoken with some people who were able to Russell when he was at MTSU's camp and all were impressed. The area of concern for Cumberland Gap is their depth, they are not deep at any position on the field.
  10. I know they are a new school and new to the region this year. Does anyone know anything about them?
  11. NOBODY is ready for the new Cumberland Gap H.S.!!!!!!!!!!! I am telling you guys CGHS is going to suprise alot of people!!! And upset alot more!!!!! GO PANTHERS!!!!!!

    Best QB in 2003

raocoach, I was just about to add Corey Russell until I read your post. He is a great QB prospect. I have seen him at 2 different camps this summer and was impressed both times. He has a strong accurate arm and is very polished with his mechanics and footwork. A little undersized, but he looks very young. p.s. I will have to check him out on the isiders, have not yet done so.

    1a football

Hey Pujo, I am not disrespecting you, because you are a man of great wisdom, but I have to remind you of something. Cloudland has had their behinds handed to them the last two years, face it, THEY CAN'T COMPETE WITH THE PRIVATE SCHOOLS because they recruit better players than Cloudland.
  14. Hey Guys, I have a little secret for you. You don't have to be invited, letters were mailed out to every school in the state, for every senior to be that wants to play college football. There will be no big schools there, but it is a good chance for a unknown player to be recognized by a school.
  15. Let's get down to business (Eminem) It ROCKS!!
  16. Great. Fine. Let's stay on the topic at hand, Cloudland @ Powell Valley. Not trying to be rude, but threads can take a wrong turn in a hurry.
  17. What is an estimated number of fans you think Cloudland will bring?
  18. How do you all think Cloudland's defense will scheme Powell Valley's multi run/pass attack? Will they play a lot of nickle and dime or will they load the box and bring it?
  19. kvols1, How can you justify a prediction if you have not seen either team play? Do you have some inside information about Cloudland or Powell Valley? [Edited by ScubaSam on 10-17-02 9:05A] [Edited by ScubaSam on 10-17-02 9:06A]
  20. Thanks for all the input. I don't know how many of you are aware, but the Elizabethton Star has predicted Cloudland to win 62-10. Powell Valley will have their hands full, but how many Indian fans can see their team losing by 52 points?
  21. OK, C-land and PV fans let's hear what you think. What are your thoughts on Friday Night's Regional Championship game? (Don't be modest we all know this will decide the championship)This is one of the games the plus members are discussing this week.
