Hey 82 Cat, This is what I think about what others have said... Luke Powell too small? Evidently he has the heart to play where he is at today. David Wolke no heart? Name another QB out of the state of Tennessee since the Notre Dame stadium opened in 1892 or so - that received a full paid ride, can you name one? I didn't think so! (and it definitely takes heart to get where he is going) Johnson evidently has something that UT wanted, he is fast and very good as a junior. By the way, where did you play college ball?

Hey throw46, Tom Lemming on ESPN.COM web site posted his top 25 QB recruit list in America. David Wolke is ranked # 11 in the nation. I know he wants to play at UT. David Wolke is the only QB out of TN listed in the top 25. I think the Smyrna vs. Shelbyville spring scrimmage is May 9th at 5:00 pm. I heard there are going to be 7 or 8 Div 1 scouts watching him at this game.

Does anyone know if that QB out of Knoville "Dickey" is being recruited & where he is going. I'm not sure which high school he goes too.

flip96 - Do you have to have a subcripton to the insider on ESPN's web site to view the QB class of 2004 list? MTSU's Coach Andy Mac met with Coach Shad at Smyrna & pretty much told him that he was going to offer David Wolke a scholarship early, even if he gets hurt his last year of high school he will still get a full ride. I think that is how it works with early signing's. David is also listed on UT's top ten recruit list on volquest.com. [Edited by touchdown on 4-18-03 9:11A]

You are so negative about most everything you post. Why don't you get a life and quit bashing Smyrna. Every team has athletes that give 100%. I think the Boro teams have a lot of talent. For you to be an adult and come on this board and act like you are 12 is crazy.

This web site is all about discussing the sport of football. I have truly enjoyed following a lot of these threads. You may voice your opinion about specific topics and then you should leave it alone. This thread started out to be one of those really good ones. I think you have it backwards. David Wolke is not good because all the plays are for him. Beacuse David Wolke can sling the ball and he is GOOD the offensive plays are designed for a GOOD QB that can actually throw the ball. Are there anymore good QB's that has a gun like Wolke in 4-5A?

Why are you not playing college ball? I am a Smyrna fan & I was just stating some facts about the BHS & Smyrna game last year. I was not crying, only losers cry. What makes you think your posts are going to make Smyrna Fans quit posting?
