They broadcast two very good games tonight featuring Loretto at Summertown. All of football season, they carried LCHS. Other schools in the county are just as deserving to have some games broadcast.

Looks like things are getting worse.

BREAKING NEWS: County mayor sues school board

Cumberland County Mayor Brock Hill has filed a lawsuit in Chancery Court against the Cumberland County Board of Education.

 

According to the suit that was filed Thursday at 2:20 p.m., Hill alleges that the special-called meeting the school board held Aug. 8 was in violation of Tennessee Code Annotated (TCA) 8-44-101 et. seq. (often called "The Sunshine Law") and is therefore improper and illegal without adequate public notice.

 

The suit alleges the special-called meeting was called by the Cumberland County director of schools and not the chairman of the BOE. This meeting was the meeting in which the BOE made the decision to postpone the opening of Cumberland County schools for the 2008-'09 school year.

 

In the suit, Hill also alleges that the action of that meeting the students and citizens of Cumberland County have been irreparably harmed.

 

The suit also seeks the Cumberland County Board of Education to "revert to its previously and lawfully established school calendar and begin the 2008 school term immediately."

 

Hill was not available for comment.

On March 9th, here is part of one of the last posts PageMan made in response to the basketball championship games.

I hope that I will be back for next year's season, but there are several factors that may keep me from doing so. I will not be doing baseball at all this coming season as I must return to NC to be with my mother who is 93 and did not know who I was during my Christmas visit. I feel that I must spend time with her.

He resigned because his dad has been diagnosed with alzheimer's, and he is the only one that can take care of him. So he is moving back to Nashville to take care of him. As far as spring practice, they have been practicing, and Coach Keeton is there through the remainder of this year.

who will be the new head coach?

I don't know but the resignation of Coach Keeton came as a huge surprise to me.

Loretto wins 9-2. They sweep the series 2-0. Maybe these Mustangs arent as bad as yall think?

I can't vouch for the PowerShot, but I used to own a Sony Cybershot and it was one of the best little cameras I ever had before I upgraded the the big gear.

Me and coacht have the Canon that you listed in your link. Although, that lens that comes with the camera will not be suitable for indoor sports. A good lens will cost you another $350.

When your team breaks an 18 game losing streak, yes I said 18, you're going to rush the field. That win was about as big to those kids as a professional team winning the Super Bowl.

Did you get a new lens coacht? What kind?

Lots more $$$ than what I've got

For night time shooting, you need a f/2.8 lens or higher. Now by higher, I mean 2.8 or lower, but in camera terms aperture means the lower the number the more light the lens lets in (which is good while shooting indoors or at night).

CoachT and Katie - What are your thoughts on this lens? Worth the $500?

That's probably what I'll end up gettin, can't beat the price at $570.
