  1. I think I can sum up Mt Pleasant's problem....no Marco Dailey
  2. This would be a perfect week to try someone else out in the QB position. I watched the JV game last night and #18 had a good game. His passes were accurate and he ran hard when the pocket collapsed. Lets make a move this week. Give #1 a chance to get involved. I hope they continue to get the ball to the fast, take it the distance guys like Ritter and Caperton....if they stay in the spread, the fast quick backs are the ones that will do the damage
  3. I think Giles County scored maybe 50 on them three or four years ago?
  4. CA always plays better at home but this is one you probably could miss and feel good about it Go down the road to the Mt Pleasant Perry Co game....that might be interesting
  5. Davis, Caperton, Weaver, and Ritter are all juniors....its good to see the young guys getting their chance...lots of speed in that class and speaking of juniors...is Tanner Sanderson banged up too?
  6. Passing a lot is never a good idea in my opinion....you got to run it to be good
  7. mainly theyve just played a lot of quality teams and have come out a little beat up....the rest of the season should be a breeze after playing teams like Davidson Academy, Adamsville and Lewis county right at the beginning
  8. Thats the reasoning behind using #1 instead of #7. These are high school kids and I would never want to downplay an individual's talent but with that being said #1 could contribute much more to this offense taking the snaps. He has a strong arm and can move as well. Maybe not the runner #5 is but certainly an improvement. It will be very hard to win games with the numbers we put up last week. I can't remember a game won where there was no points scored. I would go with a kid who could really run but had enough arm to complete a few passes If I was going to play 7 then I would need to get in a more pro style offense so he could get maximum protection. He can def throw it, but something that would support him with quicker developing running plays would help him out a lot...they got plenty of excellent rbs... they just need a formation that will get them running downhill immediately
  9. Im guessing our qb must have hurt his throwing arm...that bites cause Max was awesome. I was wondering why they didn't score vrs Adamsville, now I know The problem replacing him is this...you CANNOT be successful running a Florida type spread offense without a RUNNING quarterback. Fulmer tried that scheme last year with Crompton and now Fulmer is scheming to find another job the spread is not running back friendly and depends on the qb for some big runs also, its really not passing friendly because of protection issues The spread was originally designed for teams who had option style qbs but wanted to run something a bit more diverse than the option. It has worked well and worked well for Collinwood but the QB absolutely must be able to run and he needs a decent arm to go with it
  10. so far this season your remarks hold 0 validity...you also said mtp would beat wayne county if i remember correctly...what it seems to amount to, if collinwood beats them there automatically extremely talented. ESPECIALLY when you barely beat them... dude, after the embarrassing blow out of CA Im surprised you still post on here from what I heard Mt pleasant basically beat themselves
  11. unless Adamsville has a good passing attack the trojans will win
  12. you guys who think Lewis Co is a garbage team are nuts...they got plenty of talent
  13. collinwood by 14...anyways, is collinwood still runnin a 2 platoon system of are some goin both ways? they have one player who goes both ways..no 6 junior chase Roberson....he plays wr and db some of the other guys do spot duty on the opposite side of the ball at least 6 went both ways in the three games Ive seen...hes a fine rb too, maybe next year?
  14. it will definitely be a close game , at least I hope so since im going
  15. when I saw Lewis Co play I felt that they had plenty of size and talent. Their offense was a bit simplistic though. I do know they played Spring Hill tough and Spring Hill has an awesome team so that speaks volumes to LC's improvement
  16. give us an injury report chunk...anybody gonna miss the game or be limited?
  17. Ok, but Im not driving to Adamsville....I might check out the WC LC game. I predict a good one although I said the same about the Mt pleasant game. Looks like Mt P is mailing this year in early
  18. We are concerned about beating Scotts Hill right now. They are a worthy adversary and deserve out total attention. Come back after this game and we will be glad to talk to you about Collinwood. GO CARDINALS................................... looking forward to it
  19. I really like Mt pleasant's defense....I think it will be tough to pass against them maybe the run will work, they gave up a lot of yards to Max Risner but that guy can tote it with the best If Rice throws any picks I think they will go down in a close one plus Waynesboro's secondary has to be suspect, they werent very good last year and those guys graduated so who knows Mt pleasant has a good passing attack from what I saw against Collinwood but they do give up a lot of sacks too(and picks) I have to give it to Mt Pleasant due to the quickness factor which def favors them Im sure I would like to watch this one but I have my own kid to watch
  20. Adamsville will get plenty of competition and then some when they play Collinwood next week
