  1. OKAY! Whch Tennessean High school is famed for having one of the top 3 fine arts programs in the nation and the one of the top 15 in the world. If you are the first to answer correctly I will scream....... depending on how much time it takes for someone to answer!
  2. Okay, as you can tell by my "name", I don't even like Houston, but I am willing to admit that their boy's soccer teams have always had great skill. Cordova is okay, but Houston did beat them during regular season (boys) last year and the girls team beat them soundly this year during regular season (4-0), albeit Cordova beat Houston's girls during playoffs. Don't talk smack until you all win 2 national championships in a row.....
  3. Okay, let's stop living in the land of "What ifs". Yeah "if" JCM had scored it "would" have been close, but then again "if" we hadn't dropped a nuke on Hiroshima and Nagasaki then 100s of thousands of lives "wouldn't" have been lost. Y'all did come close and I never said that we didn't have close calls, but our defense held, therefore, you didn't score and the game wasn't close. Close would have been "if" Hardegee had made a 50 yard pass and scored a touchdown and the score was 10-7 (with the PAT)....... considering we shut out an undefeated team....... I'd say that was pretty good.
  4. the game will be played at the Germantown High School football stadium (Old Prickly, Chism Stadium, Red Devil Stadium, et al.)
  5. That was a slight oooooooopppppppppppsssssssssssiiiiiiiieeeeeesssss on my part. I knew Dollywood wasn't in Brentwood or Nashville........... like duh........... just saw Steel Magnolias.......... and was thinking about Dolly too much.... I meant the the Opry stuff and Music City.......... Grand Ole Opry, is it ole or old......... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm......... thanks y'all....... just a mistake, freak out LordInfamous [Edited by coacht on 11-25-02 2:02P]
  6. As I did last week for the JCM, here our the top ten reasons Germantown will smack Brentwood! 10. You may have Opryland and country music but we have Graceland- Elvis never dies. 9. You won't be able to put out this FIRE, Smokey! 8. The further West, the more of a test! 7. UCLA lost last weekend, and the mascot similarity will cause Brentwood the loss. 6. Because y'all don't like silver anyways..... let's just end it now! 5. We'll still be undefeated Saturday morning.... oops wait.... that was JCM! 4. Germantown is "bruin" up there Thanksgiving dinners fixing bear instead of turkey! 3. "German"town invented the "Blitz"krieg. 2. "And now we welcome the Brentwood Acade.... oooops, that's who they think they are.... the Brentwood High School Bruins!" 1. CAUSE IT'S IN THE INFERNO (HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLL)! I WISH both teams good luck this Friday....... everyone have safe and happy thanksgiving! Go Red Devils [Edited by houstonsdead on 11-25-02 2:04P]
  7. Okay, of course I, as a Germantown fan, will not be at this matchup at Whitehaven's Memorial Stadium but I can explain how to get there. This is a Germantown view of course..... Get off of I-40 at the Germantown Rd exit and head south. Turn right on Poplar Pike and then make a quick left onto West St. Finally this will hit Winchester..... turn right........ head west on winchester and then turn left onto Germantown Rd. South. Finally this hits Shelby Drive. Turn right and head down Shelby Dr. until you reach Elvis Presley... turn left at the light. Whitehaven high school is half a mile on your right. Turn right on the street directly beyond the school....... there you ARE!

    BWOOD @ GTOWN

I am not saying Brentwood isn't quality....... but does it tell you something when Germantown can stop someone at the 3 yard line on first down. They had a pretty successful night passing until........ we intercepted it and that led to a touchdown........ and sistersdream.... we're the one with some national rank....... respect it a little..... i'm not saying you shouldn't cheer on brentwood.... but.... you know.... just chill!
  9. Those battles were certainly good times in the 1980's........ I wish we could have had another battle of the "G's".
  10. Sportsfans it is once again time for the battle of the Tennessee suburbs- Germantown (Memphis) and Brentwood (Nahville)! This should be an ESPN instant classic. The Bruins come in with only one loss to formidable Brentwood Academy team who was a state runner-up. The Red Devils have not lost a game (and have been far from it) but Brentwood should give them their most arduous battle yet. The last time the teams met was on September 8, 2000 in Brentwood, Tennessee. The Red Devils prevailed 40-18 (correct me if the score isn't right). But as they say "Any given Sunday" (or in this case Friday). To all the Brentwood fans........ I hope y'all come down I-40 this Thanksgiving Friday and watch an awesome football game! p.s. once y'all get to the Germantown Parkway exit on I-40, get off. Then head south on Germantown Parkway until you reach Old Germantown. Take the left on Old Poplar Pike. About 50 yards from the turn is a road called Chism Alley, take a right. Head about .5 miles to .75 miles down the road and you will arrive at Red Devil Stadium!
  11. The attendance was around 5,000 to 6,000 peopple. The combined capcity of the stands is around 5,000. JCM brought a rather large amount of fans with them. It was a great game.

    Red Devils

Why what do you want....... did you expect us to get on here and be like "Bow Down JCM", no that's white trash. So we won the game and we will go to the game next week and hope they win.
  13. That game was a really exciting game to watch. Trust me, I have been to all our previous games and they have just been blah (no competition). JCM looked really sharp. Hardegee can throw (guess that's part of the reason he plays tennis). I was very impressed by both teams last night. Of course I am glad Germantown won, but JCM y'all had a great season (heck, you were undefeated), hope to see y'all next year. Brentwood BRING IT! p.s JCM fans were we loud when Hardegee fumbled the ball and Metcalf returned it........ serious question.... one of my friend's dads said something and i wanted to see if it was true?

    GERMANTOWN-JCM

what does "the stardust currently has germantown -13" mean?
  15. oh my god..... i thought you were serious......... that was in fun! Hope to see you at the game.
  16. Which of you faggots reported me for my post..... Whatever.... i don't care......... see you this friday skyhawk.........
  17. WHO IS THAT.............. I MEAN I WAS CLUELESS WHEN I SAW IT IN GUIDANCE......... THANKS PITW
  18. Hey y'all. I am putting a disclaimer on this...... If you are easily offended or are a Jackson Central Merry fan, don't read this post! Top ten reasons why Germantown will prevail over the JCM Cougars. 10. We'll still be undefeated Saturday morning. 9. The Cougars won't be so "Merry" once we're done with them. 8. Our bathrooms are indoors. 7. We can find Murfreesboro on a map. 6. Green and yellow are the color of boogers. 5. We're still great! 4. YOU may have Carl Jones but we have Elvis and he never dies. 3. We don't have to drive seventy miles to reach a real mall. 2. Our prom dates aren't our sisters. 1. .....WE'RE GERMANTOWN! ENOUGH SAID! DEVILMAN'S TOP TEN ARE A CREATION OF THE GUIDANCE OFFICE at GHS, STARTED IN 1994 WHEN THE RED DEVILS WERE WITHIN A MINUTE OF SNAPPING THE RIVERDALE WARRIORS WIN STREAK. 19. Um, thetackle, you did not just say that. Abe Felix was out of the game until the ponies put him in halfway through the 3rd quarter. Little Abe was also in for your wonderful Homecoming embarassment from Bolton and during the 1st round playoff upset! BOW DOWN! ORDER HAS BEEN RESTORED TO GERMANTOWN!!!!!!
  20. Okay, everyone needs to take a chill pill. Both Germantown and JCM are undefeated regional champions; both seem aggressive and ready to win; we are all human (depends on the night). Those are the common qualities of both teams........ however..... I've been at GHS football games for near a decade........ the last team that looked this promising was 1994. The line is scary..... the home field advantage intimadating........ the stats are frightening. If JCM loses, they still had a great season........ My prediction: Germantown 30 JCM 13 See you there......... once you are off I-40 head down Germantown Parkway all the way until you get to Old Germantown. Take a left on Poplar Pike. Turn right on Chism Alley. The field is half a mile down the road.
  21. um..... yeah.... okay........ thanks to the person above for correcting the years of the break-offs. Yeah.... anyways........ Germantown's coach, Ken Netherland, has over 300 career victories. The last time that Germantown met Riverdale was in 1994... Germantown lost 14-10..... last 4 minutes. They didn't do horendously to CBHS and MUS............. although they also didn't do great. The last time GHS met CBHS was in 1994 and Germantown won like 17-7. MUS was a near tied series..... with Germantown winning in the mid-1990's.... MUS in the late 1990's.... and Germantown will be renewing a past rivalry with CBHS next season in Week 3....... so BOW DOWN..... wish we would resurrect the Poplar Pike Bowl... (MUS v. GHS)
  22. Ontop4474......... I guess I'll see you all painted up in your black this Friday! I am soooo excited about the game this Friday. I hope Germantown wins (and Abe plays)! That way y'all can't say it was because he wasn't in. Good luck to the Red Devils and the Mustangs this Friday! [Edited by houstonsdead on 10-27-02 7:55P]
  23. Hey Saints01, I just thought I would give you the accurate account of Germantown v. Brentwood Academy-yes, some of us know that is private- and Memphis University School. Of course, I am basing this on games played post Saved by the Bell--------- In 1993 Germantown played MUS and lost- 1 L In 1994 Germantown played MUS and won- 1 W In 1995 Germantown played MUS and won- 1 W In 1996 Germantown played MUS and won- 1 W however ghs lost to BA in playoffs(quarters)- 1 L In 1997 Germantown played MUS and lost- 1 L In 1998 Germantown played MUS and lost- 1 L So, if we add (1 L)+ (1 L)+ (1 L)+ (1 L), we end up with (4 L)----------but GHS also had (1 W)+ (1 W)+(1 W)= (3 W) Therefore, Germantown's record against Brentwood Academy and Memphis University School is 3-4-----not to mention a 17-7 defeat of Christian Brothers in 1994 at the Liberty Bowl!
