Northwest beat Kenwood 67-50 Kevin Townley & Antwon Harris played well, they are expected to play well they both had double doubles again last night Townley 16 points 11 assist, Harris 15 points 10 rebounds, !!! But I like to give BIG UPs to Will Newell & Quition Partee. they simply controlled the boards all night.. Will Newell is a beast when he plays hard & strong.. BIG UPs WILL.. Quinton is a HIGH Riser , Antwon needs lots of HELP from his team mates !!!! ???

Theirs been a few Majors checking him... But I got reemed the last time I said something on Coacht about Recriutment.. from Kevin's family..... So I'll leave it Up to his family and his Coaches to comment on his recruitment... to Major Colleges.... Yes he has improved on his overall game over the Summer & Fall thanks to Coach Reed his AAU Coach,,, who made him more aggressive, better shot selection, court awareness... Kevin's Dad still in Iraq and I know he pretty proud of his play this year... Clarksville this year has a Ton of outstanding players Burney, Reed, Bradley, Harris, Bracey, Bolden, Tuck, Rogers, and the list goes on.. I feel Townley's proving his self this year, and he's being recognized by the Right People, Townley vs Harris tonight,, should be a good one these two players seem to put up double doubles every-night... Long range marksman . Devon Bracey shot the ball very well yesterday as he hit some critical threes down the stretch.impressive . I mean cruical.. Clarksville defence look very good. and made some big plays on Northwest early in the game.. but the most critical part of the game was Kevin Townley on the line.. Northwest up by 1, 7.6 seconds left on the clock. There's a lane violation, Clarksville no time outs finds the open man and he goes in for the lay-up.. where were the Defenders???? I don't know much about a secret weapon, everybody just needs to come to play, Townley is a outstanding shooter, from what I here, they are trying to establish a inside post.. Its true if Kevin shot the ball more, He probably could average 28 a game... He wants to play unselfish ball... And I agree, yes He needs to shoot the ball more. and penatrate.. He's waiting for Will & Quinton to be a BIG part of the Northwest offence... I think as the season progesses Kevin will take more shots and penetrate more. .. The secret weapon is a PG from Flordia, Northwest will move Townley to the 2G so he can take more shots.. The pressure of being the PG and the leading scorer should be lifted off his shoulders...... I think against Clarksville you will see a different NW team .. right now they are on a Roller Coaster Ride!!! Up & Down!!! & they don't Defend very well!!!!

Hey I think that is a foul-up.. Northwest played Cheatem Co twice, I think Northwest plays Clarksville Friday.. that should be a outstanding Game.... Northwest played a very good 1/2 of basketball vs Mt Juilet, Northwest lead at the half 29-26 the second half out scored 41 to 17... Mt Juilet was lead by Sims 21 points... He played very well in the paint last night he was intimidating... Townley lead Northwest with 16 he had 4-3's (Long Range!) Northwest defense is suspect??? I think they will beat Clarksville, Clarksville has a hard time scoring and they won't need a lot of Defense.. Will Newell & Quitin Partee should be big Factors.. Clarksville gives up a lot of size.. Townley's going to get his points. (20 point avg) I feel its time for Newell & Partee to break OUT!!!! Clarksville is well Coached and Quinn will stick Townley all night. and make them long range shots very difficult... And that might make to difference. and if Bronson & Bracey are on.. the game should be real close.

Brandon Burney is a great ball player.. but playing at AA does not help Burney's quest to be said with the Big Name TN players. I must say that GOMAB a Basketball Guru & did rank Brandon very high (12) in the state of TN. 40 points is very good accomplishment, but against a Team like Stewart County Players like Brewer, Harris, Helton, Gordon, A Harris (Kenwood), and maybe Reed (NE) could probably put up 50 points against Stewart County High School. Gordon & Brewer do it every-night against much tougher competition. AAA schools demand you come to play every night. Granted Brandon has no help what so every, but niether does Brewer. Right now Burney not even on my Top 5 players in Clarksville, but he's already committed to Austin Peay which makes life a lot easier for him. A lot of players worked on their game over the Summer & Fall and they look great... (double, doubles, & triple doubles) Burney plays against a lot of AAA schools this year, and when he does he needs to put up the BIG numbers like his counter-parts. The Brewers, Gordon, Harris, Reed and other players that play with BIG Numbers every-night... Don't get me wrong by the End of the season Burney probably be on my 5 in Clarksville, maybe my 1#, but I look at level of Competition, and what you do every-night so that your team wins or very close to winning.

Its true Quinn is not your best offensive player, what makes him great is his defensive skills, and his ontstanding leadership. I think its should help Clarksville in the long run... Bracey is the scorer.. Quinn's the defender and they work hand & hand most of the time... Play hard you can't go wrong.. Nothing against Quinn game, but to reach the next level of Basketball, Quinn needs to work on some of his Offensive skills. And with hard work over the Spring this should set things right. I said before Quinn is not a BIG numbers player. but his other skills take up for his lack of Offensive Explosion. Keep up the hard work!

Most certainly Northeast is a very exciting team to watch and they will fight for the District Championship along with Clarksville and Northwest... Northeast has the best bench and the better Coaching... Clarksville has GREAT Defense but lack scoring power at times... Northwest they score very well but play poor defense. They are to quick to play a Zone defense.. But I think NE will be the team to beat they have just enough. they already beat Clarksville early in the season, but then again you never know.. Reed, Townley, Harris, Pfiegher, Teague, Bradley, Rogers, Newell, Bolden, Partee, Tuck, Trotter will fight for player of the year honors (10AAA), right now I give the edge to Reed he's a winner , Townley & Harris neck & neck because they have so many double, doubles this year_ and that has to count for something ...Bolden & Rogers are on the come up, Newell great left hand player, Teague plays BIG HUGE!!, Corey's the best shooter, Partee can jump out the GYM (OL SCHOOL), Trotter & Tuck nice steady PG's with unlimited potental, Badley great defender..You have to Love High School B-Ball.. I think NE, NW, and Clarksville will make some noise this year they all lost some real close ones....

I talked to some of the players on Northwest... They told me it was Maryville College Tn, Union University, Bethel TN, TN TECH, Cumberland University and TSU (Hoopsguru79 your probably right no USA Conference or SEC) a host of D-IAA, D-III & NAIA Schools, the other post was here say (Florida, Louisville) from a player from NW.. If I could talk to Coach Ross I would asked that question. (I wasn't sure,,,, and probably shouldn't put Kevin on the spot like that).... (To Rogers, Northeast High, and their Fans) Yeah I must admit I missed Rogers and he had a great Tournment, Rogers I'm sorry because you deserve to be on this list.. thanks GOMAB.. I been trying to find out all the info I can on each player... and Rogers is a outstanding compliment to Reed.. I didn't think that GOMAB was giving Coach Reed a hard time.. Both of these men have great basketball intelligence... Sorry this is not to wrinkle feathers. Its to give good players & coaches in Clarksville recognition they deserve... All these post are outstanding and I compliment these post for not bashing our Clarksville Players.... Late Jan will be my next list so please keep me informed...

CLarksville's Finest Kevin Townley (6'0"PG) (NW)had 5 straight doubles doubles in the Month of Dec, against some awsome competition. Average 20 points, 11 assist, 5 rebounds 3 steals a game for the Month of Dec, 21 first half points against Wilson Central 6-3 pointers displayed that outside ability that GOMAB talked about early in the season. Townley has over a 120 assist in his first 10 games of the season. I believe ranks 3rd (PG) in Mid-Tn behind Josh Helton of Mt Juilet, and Henry Harris of Stratford, for his performance at the Beech Tournment D1A schools have contacted his coach. (Uof Flordia, U of Louisville, TSU) Drake Reed (6'3" SF) (NE) This kid is a Super Star in the making, the softest touch inside outside 21 points against 6'7" Corey Brewer, Reed gave up about 3 to 4 inches and held his own. Drake continues to lead NE in the winner circle.. with great rebounding and awsome leadership. Reed shows he can play with anybody in the state of TN, Reed has a great upside with his attitude and his stong 6'3" frame... Antoine Harris (6'3" SF) (Kenwood) Mr. Harris is average about 25 points a game and 10 rebounds, Mr. Harris has put Kenwood on his back in most games the only player to score in double figures, Harris has shown great muturety and leadership for the younger players.. Kenwood plays a lot of underclass men.. and they look up to Harris for leadership. Kenwoods very small Team and Harris carries the load and does a great job at it...Harris can play his postion at the D1 level!! Corey Pfighfer (6'2" SG) (Dickson) This guy WOW!!! long range should be his middle name.. Corey averages almost 30 a night has 37 against Rossview. He's another super junior with a great up- side hes a player who's getting the job done, Corey's also a great defender.. great hands. Like Reed these juniors are great. Dickson will have problems winning in the District but Corey will light the sky up.. look for his numbers to go up as the season goes a long. Quinn Bradley (6'3" SF) (Clarksville) Quinn does not have the great numbers, because he is the most outstanding defender I've seen in a long time. Quinn gets the tough assignments, and all these players listed above will get to see Quinns great defense and outstanding Leadership... Quinn has lead Clarksville to some great victory's be shutting down the others teams best player... Quinn the reason why Clarksville will be in the hunt for their back to back District Championship. Second Team Graylan Tuck (PG) Graylan is a winner Brandon Burney (2G) hasn't had a break out season yet Will Newell (PF) 22 points against the great Corey Brewer (Up & Down Dec) Murcus Gyunn (2G) I like this kid he 's on the come up James Bolden (PF) Most improved player in Clarksville,, back to back 20 point games Third Team Tre Trotter (PG) Devon Bracey (2G) Quintin Partee (PF) Phillip Little (SF) Demetius Ogburn (SF) Northeast Still the Team to beat, they have nice balance scoring, and great defense Clarksville Still the second Team to beat... their overall defense is the best I've seen and Clarksville, when they don't score they D-U UP!!! Northwest Lack of defense, they can score but can't stop no one from score=ing. that ZONE??? Northeast Drake Reed & Northwest Kevin Townley Holding their own against some stiff competition, They look outstanding & both games I watch in the last 2 Nights. Drake Reed was outstanding against one of the best players in TN Reed Had 21 points he carried Northeast to Victory against Portland & the Great Corey Brewer. then 17 points in a lost against 10 ranked Wilson Central!!!!! BIG UPs to Drake Reed!!! Kevin Townley had 24 points, 8 assist against 10 ranked Wilson Central in a lost. Townley Had 20 points 10 assist against Portland the next night... These two players have been representing Clarksville well, I feel are the TOP 3 players in Clarksville... their stock has risen with each game... they lead their Teams in almost every stat..... BIG UPs to REED & TOWNLEY!!!! ,, Other then Harris the most consistant players I have seen in the Month of DEC!!! GO Clarksville TEAMZ & GooD LUCK!!!

Northeast Has a pretty good Team with outstanding Coaches.. JR Sensation Drake Reed will lead the Attack... Sr Grayland Tuck will push the team to its abiltiy to win BIG Games!! Northeast has a Great supporting Cast of Players!!! Northeast has beaten Beech early in the Season Drake Reed is a very tough player with a soft touch Northwest has played a pretty hard schedule, so should be WAR driven to start Winning Bigger Games... Sr PG Kevin Townley BIG Time play maker will lead the Northwest attack Sr SF Will Newell will take care of the inside work.. Sr Quitin Partee Ability to play bigger then 6'4" will ull down Big Rebounds also has the ability to put up big numbers on the offensive boards... Norhtwest bench not as strong as Northeast... Northwest lost to Beech in overtime early this season As Townley goes NW goes!!! Both Teams should represent Well... their both starting to GELL!! GO CLARKSVILLE TEAMS!!!!

I tell people from Clarksville to be Proud of the players that represent our Great Town..... I like to send a message to all Clarksville players. I just like to say thanks for Representing our Community not in just Basketball, but you guys are very good sports Men. & Great Competitors. I try to give the Best asessment I can on each Players performance.... So I like to give a BIG Ups to all the Coaches & Players who compete at the Highest Level of basketball they Can.... And represnt our Town with pride, leadership, & good Clarksville values..... And I hope ALL Players & Coaches the BEST!!!! I know a lot of people may not agree with me on some of my players.. Weather its Crossup or Gomab we both do our best to follow every Game & every Player.. I will pull for all players to further their future,,,,, from the school BOOKs to the Court....... I Like Alex Bowers & Noel Smith.... great combination of guards.... I found it hard to believe they lost to MC... I had Cheathem by 15, I mean MC lost to Northwest by 31 points & Cheathem lost by 2... I think that Zone was a bad Idea.... Alex can play any guard in TN straight-Up and hold his own... I think Alex should have played Burney straight Up..... If they play again Cheathem should... But never under-estimate the Heart of a Competitor.. Like Brandon Burney.....

When I said most athletic I was looking at running skills Cross Country, Great Leaper, Quickest,,, I don't mean best player... To tell the truth it was a Toss up between Townley & Bradley... What I do believe and just my opinion the Quinn Bradley is probably the best Defender in the City... Not Hot NW????? I didn't give Townley nor NW props, but He Leading the Team in every Stat what more do you want!!! Will Newell is a good Player.... but Kevin will make the BIG PLAYZ..... thats his job..... Hot is NE!!!!! Clarksville or NE probably win the District!!! Sorry if this List Affended any one... Quinn Bradley is a great player.... I'll make sure the next List does not have Kevin Townley's name on it!!!!! I'm not taking nothing away from the other players.... Their all good players.... He playing great and his TEAM showing great Heart 9-9 shooting is incredible at at level of Basketball High School, College or Pro,, Great Job by the Coaching staff!!! Reed replaces Bradley on my Top 5 list of Clarksville Players, Reed is playing better at this point better then any player in Clarksville, to include Burney & Harris he finding ways to lead his team and WIn games!,, Not by mouth but by performance... My list is as follows: Drake Reed (Jr) WF Northeast High-leading his Team to win BIG Games!!! Antione Harris (Sr) Post Kenwood- Leading his Team & rebounds & Scoring!!! NW playing pretty bad right NOW! beggining of the season?? Does not mean a lot, but they just not playing well. plus I said Wouldn't say anything until the end of the season..... Wasted speed is true... now I do agree with that.... Kevin Playing Okay??? far from his ability... NW trying to run a set offense when they should be running & gunning...... I rather play bad now then play bad at the END of the Season!!!!!!
