Cedar Bluff, sneaks by South-Doyle
Cedar Bluff entered the championship only suffering one loss all season long, South-Doyle looked to send the Lady Giants home, with second place. South-Doyle Scored first with a basket and two free throws to take the first quarter lead 4-2. More tough defense, was the story in the second quarter as South-Doyle outscored Cedar Bluff 4-2, again. The Lady Cherokees started the second half on a run to take a 18-6 lead and looked to have the game in hand. However Cedar Bluff began a comeback. Cedar Bluff went to what got them to this point their post players, and the Giants went on a run, and with 1:00 remaining in the game only trailed by 1. Cedar Bluff called a time out and set up a perfectly executed play to get an open shot and the Lady Giants Converted and took the lead 19-18. Down the stretch South-Doyle had their chance to regain the lead, but the shots wouldn't fall and Cedar Bluff hoisted the Championship trophy with a thrilling 19-18 victory.
