Wow... This is the first year in the new districts and i know nothing about VB... But the way you guys are talking they are a state tourney contender! I mean They def. have lots of size... If these boys from VB, with that size, aren't good then something is wrong.. But I hear you guys are very good and i see you are ranked in the top ten in A ball... Chapel Hill hasn't played to there ability all year, but hopefully friday will be different... Should be fun to see...

Corey's brother (Hunter) does post on this name sometime... But this user name is shared by our whole family, we all post on here... Hunter actually post the least. But yes we are Corey #54 and Chandler #10 family, if that is what you were wondering... We do our best to only put up legit points and support our boys while respecting everything and everyone else! Although we are family and partial to our two boys, we wound never put anything out of the way or that didn't have some type of truth to it, that we know of. This is just a fun way to have debates and get our guys some well deserved respect! Good luck to Cully and Chapel Hill the rest of the way!

Shankle didn't start on behalf of a decision made by the coach... I beleive it was some type of punishment... He and donavon both played average tonight... The 4th uarter was sick... Chapel Hill was scared to loose instead of being the aggressor the were def aggressed... That makes me so mad... Gentry should have done more penetrating because he was the only one making anything happen! Everyone else started shoting threes with 2 minutes to go! 16-4 Foul ###### in the 2nd half cully's favor... But that is no excuse... My boy Corey didnt show up in the 4th as well as the rest of the team! Good luck to both teams the rest of the way!

Demario is a very good player... I do admit that... Like I said, I am a bit parcial to Chapel Hill and to Corey... But you can't deny... Corey had better numbers last yr in his sophmore year than anyone in the district... And his team won the district regular season title and was second in the tourney... As far as the rankings... Beleive me, I know from experience... They are not as accurate as you would think... And that is a promise... This is a new year though... Both teams are very good... It will be a fun game to watch... Go Chapel Hill...

I am an X-Player at Chapel Hill and now I have family playing, and playing great, at Forrest! I will say that This SHOULD be an awesome game... But so far, despite there decent record against pretty good competetion, i think Chapel Hill are playing like Girls right now... They are not to physical so far this year... It will come Im sure, but I know Cully is very Physical and they will have the 2nd best player in the game... Chapel Hill will still win in my opinion because they can flat score and there players are just better! Corey Shankle is averaging around 15 so far after his outrageous sophmore campaign where he averaged 19 and 11... I am a bit parcial to chapel hill as well... Cully is a pretty good team, they have more heart than talent also... which is a good thing.... And if forrest doesnt show up, the will get beat up... Literally! The game went to 3 overtimes last year... Let's pray for another good one!

I really have no business in this forum but I would just like to say that Santa Fe is terrible this year... And I'm not to sure they could right there way out of a wet paper sack! Chapel Hill's C team whipped them... And Chapel Hill's C team is horrible too... Santa Fe is not looking to good, for a while!

I am so excited to see whats going to happen in the new districts! I am a huge Chapel Hill fan and will miss 11A... There were some great years there! But the new district will be very fun! Chapel Hill, to me, should be very tough... They are deeper this year than they have been in a very long while! They have Corey Shankle back... He averaged 19 pts and 11 boards last year and was the top scorer in 11A and the only player in 11A to make all region team... They also have Chandler Gentry, a solid point guard, and Ryan Ezell, big man inside back! They lost Matt Byrd but are replaceing him with two very scrappy players.. Peyton Pratt and Brian Whitley... There are two more guys that should be a good surprise this year on Chapel Hill's Squad..... Mike Minor, great defender and slasher... And there shoot guard Chase B.... Streaky shooter and another stopper on D... This kid is lights out when he is on... This team is loaded with Jr's and Soph's that all played last year! They will be experienced this year and def. a team that will have to be reconed with! Lets hear some more about the other teams in D9A... I know nothing about any of the new guys!

Congradulations to Forrest Rockets on a big game tonight. Everyone gave you zero chance and for the thousandth time this year you guys proves everyone wrong. You guys are the only team standing from 11A two years in a row. Thanks for representing! Good luck tomorrow night against Wayne Co. Go out and play the game with all your heart. Good Job Mac!!!

Shredded Cheese, you say some of the most untrue and ridiculous things I have ever heard. When did you hear Coach Mac say that? Oh yeah and congradulations on the D11A championship, that was your first time beating Chapel Hill in 9 trys so that makes it that much sweeter.. CONGRATS. Good luck in Region.

Congradulations to Cascade and to all of their fans. It was a great game and a great win for both your team and your community. I will admit I didn't think it could happen but Cascade was the better team. Best of luck in the region and lets go get some respect! Good luck all 11A teams!

Thanks crew, that is exactly whay I have been trying to say. About the point guard thing. Chandler Gentry has done better than Chris Schnapp couldv'e dreamed of doing. Chris got techs every game and shot the ball like 30 times a game. Chandler gets his team in the offense everytime and is shooting over 50 percent from outside this year, too bad he doesn't shoot more often! But crew hit it on the nose. I really am not trying to diss anyone or any team. I respect all of the teams and players! I just dish my opinions!

ShreddedCheese. I know you are a casdade fan so I have a ? for you.. What do you think about the other guy on your team that in my opinion is better than Gallager. He does most of the scoreing and is more of a leader if you ask me. This is just my opinion but I don't think Gallager has played that well this season, compared to some others in the district! I like the other kid from Casacde better! I have seen cascade play six times this year and Gallager has only had one good game. Corrct me if i'm wrong, but from my experiences, Gallager doesn't even look like the best one! Just a question and thought from an outsider. I think both are good. So don't say I am hating on Gallager because I'm not. I like his game to.

Your right shredded cheese. Shankle doesnt mean anything to the Rockets. He is just kinda good. The Rockets would've had more wins without him! All he has done is score points and get rebounds. He hasn't been a leader and led his team to W's! Man I am just starting to realize all you guys are right, I am surprised ESPN hasn't called since you know so much about talent! As for coach of the year if Mclaran gets it he deserves it. The coach from Huntland didn't loose many players from last years team BUT has done a wonderful job turning that program from worst as of late, to the middle of the pack! If Huntland coach gets it he deserves it. Forrest has four new starters and started the season 0-9. Coach Mac has coached his head off to get the boys ready for district and the "NOT GOOD" "SLOW" Rockets won the regular season and are in the Championship game Friday night! And if Shankle and the rest of the "slow" players didn't do it, Coach Mac must have!

Rockets, that was a good post, and your point is very well taken! I know the Rockets are a Team and that is what got them were they are this week.. I know that! And you are right about the lady rockets they are so balanced, but they do have ONE player who always gets it done when the game is on the line! I agree with you alot rockets thst is just my opinion though! Also you said that #54 couldn't do anything without his team, this is very true!! But whoever it is that gets the ball still has to put it in the hole, so it works both ways. Just like you I'm tired of talking about this. I know basketball is a team sport and thats that. But there is still a best 1 or 2 on every team. That's all I am saying. Everyone on here can say what they want but who steps up when the game is on the line.!!!!

Lets worry about region when we get there because we still have to beat Cascade, a very good team! TyFry you may be right, we all know that on paper 12A looks alot more attractive. And yes 12A does overmatch 11A in my opinion but who knows what can happen. I do know the no team will lay down and die for 12A in the region, so let's just wait and see. Rocket, I know Basketball is a team sport I am not stupid. There is a best player on everyteam in the world though. That doesn't mean they are an individual. I played basketball a long time and I know what I am saying.

This converstaion is stupid and yes all of the boys are good. Byrd is a very big part of what has happened this year. It's about the team anyway so i guess I should've never said he was the best. That is my opinion and my opinion has alot of logic behind it, everyone has to admit that! You are right good players do things for their team, and his team is in first place and in the championship game in the tourney. I guess that's not good enough for you though.. That's all I have to say on this subject, it's a team sport and I guess everyone should get the same credit no matter how dedicated or how much work you have put into being the player that you are.???..

Well put baller 88! I know first hand that Forrest in not slow, they are actually fast. They just play smart ball and slow the games down, which is totally opposite from Chapel Hill teams the last couple of years. Everyone is right about one thing though, Forrest is a team and all five are getting it done! Good luck to the Chapel Hill Friday night in making it two championships in two years! And yes they have the best player in the district!! Until someone proves that wrong on the court, not on the internet! Numbers don't lie.....

Forrest beat Huntland by 20. Shankle had 23 and Byrd had 21 points. Huntland was no match at all. The Rockets were using subs in and out the whole game to save everyone. They looked pretty good and ready for Friday night. I HOPE!!
