  1. You gotta love Macon County fans, they will be running behind the bus on the way out of Lafayette trying to jump on the band wagon with two wins, and throw the Tigers UNDER the bus with two losses. :popcorneater:

You guys have a safe trip to the 'Brier! ;)

    Go CATS! Get the W!

  2. No surprises. WH wins over the Cats. I do have a question though. I overheard that White House uses an alum as a ref by the last name Pond?? Isn't there TSSAA rules against that? Is that why he didn't see the WH player holding a Greenbrier player down and hitting him?? Wouldn't have made a big difference in the game, but it sure could cause a biased call or two.

  3. YEA HAMBLEN IS A GOOD HIGH SCHOOL PLAYER. HES ONE OF THE FEW PLAYERS THAT I HAVE HEARD OF ON SC'S TEAMS OF THE PAST. #1 FOR STATION CAMP WAS VERY IMPRESSIVE. 6 FT 2 230 IS WHAT I HEARD HE WAS. GOOD POTENTIAL AND GOOD SIZE TO PLAY IN COLLEGE. NOT SURE WHAT GRADE HE IS IN.

SC HAS SOME QUALITY PLAYERS BUT I DONT THINK THEY ARE A DANGEROUS TEAM LIKE THEY WERE THE LAST FEW YEARS. ON THE OTHER HAND WHITE HOUSE JUST SEEMS TO RELOAD WITH TALENT. WHITE HOUSE HAS ALOT OF GOOD YOUNG TALENT TO GO ALONG WITH SOME VERY GOOD SENIOR PLAYERS. I DONT THINK MANY TEAMS WILL WANT TO PLAY WHITE HOUSE AS THE SEASON GOES ON ESPECIALLY IF WHAT EVER HAPPENED LAST WEEK IS LEARNED FROM.

SOMETIMES COACHES HAVE TO REMIND THE PLAYERS OF WHOS IN CONTROL. JUST LEARN FROM THE LESSON AND MOVE ON.

Larry, no doubt you've heard the name Hamblen quite a bit while playing SC. Jacob's older brothers, Dustin and Jordan also were big playmakers for the Bison. Jacob is the youngest Hamblen brother. I'm glad we're not playing them anymore. It's always hard to root against family.

  4. I won't pretend like i know much about football, cause i dont, but i do know that the game tonight was a load of crap. Not just on station camp but on white house too. We had a player injured, and all of the white house players played there hardest. But as the game was ending Station camp started cheering... Whos house, our house, on our field. Thats just low. Some of you idiots are calling white house unsportsman like, but if you want to see a team that is doesn't have any sportsman ship, look at station camp. :D

Goodness... how bitter. Nothing different from last year, when WH won a squeaker at SC, the chanting from the WH stands. So, youngster, leave Mom's computer alone and go back to watching Hannah Montana or something.

    Now, my reflections.

    1. Whoever WH's quarterback was did an excellent job for a non-starter. He had a perfect pass in the endzone in the final seconds that would have been the game winning touchdown 99 times out of 100, but the DB from Station Camp made an outstanding play and batted the ball away.

    2. The Wildcat package WH ran in the second half was something else. THAT kid is a good back.

    3. I think SC had guts to go for it on 4th and goal from the two in the fourth quarter. We debated it in the stands, and that's a call I wouldn't want to make. The celebration penalty after the touchdown was a poor call that could have cost SC the game.

    4. I've seen tempers flare several times in the history of this matchup, but I thought both teams showed composure and good sportsmanship all around.

    5. The show the band and the choirs did before the game gave me chills. Good job, all.

    6. I cringe every time I see someone injured, and I felt like running across the field and hugging the young man who hurt his ankle. Remember, folks, these are our children.

Saw a little of the game on CSS last night and got to give KUDO's to SC's #20, Jacob Hamblen on the knockdown and the interception!! Wasn't really pulling for either team, but just to say "Great effort, cuz! :)"

  5. sources tell me that SC is already preparing to practice basketball next week. They are content with the level they have reached this year. They are reading what is being said on here about how they are going to be "dominated" by the mighty Blue Devils. I just hope they can make it out of WH with their pride still in tact.

Really? The "sources" I talked to Saturday was an active SC players parent. I heard they know they've got a big game ahead but they are ready for payback. They think maybe WH has forgotten SC beat DC by a big score too.

Christian Reed's leg may be the difference maker Friday night.

  6. If Station Camp wants to advance they better kick it into gear....cause next year they will be little fish in a big pond. I think they know Sycamore pretty well and will come out the winner in this one.

At 14-7 sounds like SC almost let that game get away from them Friday night. They'll step it up and finish big. Sycamore CAN be beaten twice in one year. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

  7. One of DeKalb County's coaches passed away today. Clay Edwards. Please pray for his #1 on the team. and his family. Win it for Coach ED this week.

Prayers go out to the Edwards family and the DeKalb County team and friends from Greenbrier. It's tough when something like this happens to anyone, but especially a mentor to a whole team. I'm sorry to hear this.

  8. Hey Polk Fans have you seen the thread where SC is talking about how far they think they will go? I don't think they take our boys too serious. Interesting. Best wishes to our team and coaching staff! Hope everyone has a safe trip, and game is injury free for both teams.

Region 4 swept Region 3 last year. I think the top three in Region 4 will win the games tonight. I don't think Polk will stop Station Camp. They were 3A student body when the classification started but have grown quite a bit. They have too many weapons. But you'll have to see for yourselves.

    Good Luck Station Camp!

  9. Read that it's raining in Chattanooga. East Ridge fans will be happy to know it's a beautiful day in Nashville. Should make a fall day drive.

And I don't know how well ER travels, but if you have a lot of fans, you might want to get to WH early. Visitor side is small. There's several fast food places, but the Cracker Barrel is the best for a good meal. It's the first right off the interstate between Hardees and KFC.

Good luck to both teams..but WH has got this one in the bag.
