  1. Nathan McBroom and Drew Earl from CA. McBroom knows what the strike zone is, can work a count, has a nice frame to add muscle to, and has that natural left handed sweet swing. Ad to that a desire to be at the plate during the tough at bat, and he moves up my list. Earl is another left handed stroke with a little more power right now and a very simular body type to McBroom. He reads the ball well in the OF and has better speed than McBroom. Both of these young men would be getting serious looks from D 1 schools if they played AAA or better.

Doggy came in during the TranSouth Tournament and pitched a heck of a game. He is as hard nosed as they come and a terrific person besides. If you don't know Clay I am sorry for you because you have missed one of the unique characters the world has to offer.
  3. CA just has too much tallent right now and for the next two years from what I have seen. MtP. looked good in the scrimmage I saw and made a huge improvement in on the field conduct. One game does not a new trend make but I really hope so. There is too much tallent there to be stuck with the label they have and turn off every college in the state.
  4. Just a kudos to Coach Lamb and his supporters in Loretto. I have had the pleasure of seeing the field grown and become something special over the last 3 + years. If you have never played there before you will love it. Better than some college fields that you will play on.
  5. Most of the time it can be part of a pre game routine that helps the player lock in thier locus of control. Unfortunately most are just be-boping along and it dosent really matter either way. They see it on the TV and think it looks cool.
