  1. If the Bucs can keep their QB healthy they should be ok. They return 8 on Defense and 8 on offense, and the three transfers will be eligible and able to contribute. Tyner will be fast and experienced all over the field. Region Championship will be decided again during the last week of the season.

  2. The only thing any of you need to know is Boeck is your next coach. It's been in the works since the beginning. He's already fixing up the locker room, weight room, etc. the way he wants it. Welcome to some more losing cause that's what it's going to bring you. More dessert for the Pirates! /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" /> Good luck with your offensive line. You'll need it!

Good Luck to coach Boeck. Hope he does a good job. Also hope Coach Evans lands a good job as well. He is a quality person and will do well in the future. When was the decision made concerning Boeck.

  3. Everyone can debate whether the officials handled these situations correctly, but the "home cooking" theory is no good in the playoffs. As an official, I can tell you that the officiating crew would have been from some other area. I am in the Chattanooga association and we traveled to Knoxville or Nashville for games. That crew in SC would have been from an area that was neither Nashville or Chattanooga (Boyd's officials). Without knowing I would guess Knoxville.

It doesn't matter where they were from yes the made some mistakes but in the end the game was won or lost by the kids and coaches.

  4. Pirates 28 Boyd 9. That great Boyd defense gave up 28 points to a team even one of our coaches has said is not a very good football team this year. Boyd is average at best on there good days. Friday night will not be one of those days. Pirates win BIG. Last bump to be negotiated on the way to the play offs. Bring on the competition....please.

you are right BB defense is not as strong as everyone makes it to be. The games they held down the score were games in which their opponent was not very good. Against good teams they are not successful. They can't win the big games and their secondary doesn't appear to be getting any better. If they don't improve this week they could lose the next 4 games and limp into the playoffs.

  5. There was never a long-term committment to the program. This is not good for the school. Football WAS good for the school but could be it's ruin.

Hard to find a coach at this point. (assuming this is true)

So why did they fire the Coach?

  6. I see them having a tough time with Tyner and truthfully finding a way to lose a game that maybe they should win. Other than that their schedule is very Warrior friendly and even Polk county is not a team that can't be beaten. Actually I feel that their style of play will make it quite easy for a faster and more athletic bledsoe team to get a win. If the line can give Colvard time and Watson some daylight watch out for big scores to be put up. I do question their defense a little

truthfully look for bledsoe to go 4-6 if their rb is healthy. if not they will probably be 2-8 at best.

drtreble - Hmmmm, not sure where you are going with this. I looked at the TSSAA website and checked Red Bank's schedule. They have wrestled every team that is on their schedule. I suspect that the team is Boyd Buc and you have stuck your foot in your mouth.

In either case the bottom line is that from what I understand Cleveland called and cancelled the day before a match. The entire team is not injured, they do not have any type of discipline isssues that would keep the whole team from wrestling, and the last time I checked there was not some bubonic plague running through the team either.

Doesn't look good on the Cleveland crew to back out of a dual because of bad blood with a team they were not even going to wrestle. Now there is the alternative suggestion - that Cleveland was not ready to face yet another embarrassing loss???

Way to teach the guys good sportsmanship, discipline, respect, and self control

  8. I'm glad you asked that Steve...I'll be glad to tell you. Without going into too much detail here is the number-- 20. And that includes subs and two sets of recievers. We had at least 7 guys going both ways at all times. On offense we had 4 or 5 (depending on the recievers who were in) returning starters...on Defense we had 3 or 4. All of them played both ways.

So I'm not sure where our depth went, but if Grunt or g-ville happen to see them I would appreciate it if they sent them back this way...

I saw two of Boyd's Games this year and listened to others and I can tell you when they get a chance to play kids they do it. I know for a fact against Sequatchie and Upperman everyone on the roster played. Maybe they have good depth because they try to play everyone when they get a chance to and so those kids will stay out for football and not quit.

  9. Exactly we think alike. I was thinkin Cody Thomas could be a very good LB. He is a hard nosed player. Plays with a lot of intensity. Oh ya incase you didn't know today was my bday.

Boyd is very deep in the linebacker position already. They have 3 out of 4 returning and really are fine with the backups. The concern is the secondary. Hopefully some sophomores will step up and play. The defensive line should be 2 deep all the way across which means fresh people in the 4th quarter.
