  1. I just wanted to let all the great people of Soddy know that I am getting out of the business and moving on. I wish you all great success and congratulations on having a great bunch of young men to call your own in every sport. I miss being there and I am thankful for my time there. It was brief but very eventful. HA! On a serious note, I would like to thank you all for not only taking me in when I was there but for being so supportive of athletics as a whole. Soddy Daisy is a place I would have loved to have stayed and reaised a family. Good luck in everything you do TROJANS! Coach I
  2. Does the coaching staff still implement the TRAOJAN WINTER GAMES? We have been doing it here in Georgia for the past two years and having alot of successful outcomes with it. I was just wondering. Thanks!
  3. In my efforts, the best results come from a VERY good squat program along with Tom Shaw's speed training program used at Tulane University and Florida State University. The key ingredient is form. Keep the face and hands loose and really work on leg strength and tight arms to the side going from ear to pocket. The legs will only move as fast as the arms do. My favorite saying is "YOU EITHER HAVE SPEED OR YOU'RE CHASING IT." Good luck! I have the Tom Shaw program and don't mind sharing it. If interested, I can fax it. It is really detailed and tells you exactly what to do. It's a GREAT off-season program also. We use it as part of our strength program on Tuesdays and Thursdays while we lift on Monday, Wednesday and Friday using a combination of BFS and Nebraska's bulk program. I hope this helps. I am open to suggestions also if anyone has any information to share. Any help is appreciated.
  4. WOW! Sure would like to coach the line again with those two behind us. LOL! Good luck Soddy in the future.
  5. Prayers headed out from Georgia.
  6. Congratulations from Georgia on a great year and alot of success. Good luck to the seniors in their endeavors. It has been a pleasure keeping up with you this year.
  7. The wet field should be no problem for this group of Trojans. When the seniors were sophomores, they played in a "mud" bowl every week. I'm not laughing though, it seems I did a head first slide after a big win over Bradley. GO HAWGS!
  8. In south Georgia-not in the business anymore. Just a fan of the game and I am enjoying keping up with the season. I hope I get to keep up with it for about 4 more weeks. Good luck!
  9. GO TROJANS! Rooting for the HAWGS in GA.
  10. Good luck hawgs. Rooting for you in Georgia.

  12. A man in Georgia would like to give and wish you all the luck and blessings possible for your upcoming REGION CHAMPIONSHIP game this weekend. He wishes he could be there to watch. To Coach Smith, Garland, and Campbell, I wish you all the luck and success in the world and I hope our paths cross again. I would hope you would feel the same. Good luck Trojan fans and players. "ROOT HAWGS, ROOT- SOOOUIE!"
  13. Congratulations on a great start guys. I wish you the best. Coach Smith, Campbell, and Garland must be doing a great job as usual. Coach Weathers is fortunate to have them. Keep it up!
  14. Scotty Smith from Soddy Daisy-I had the privaledge to work with him for a year and I've never known someone to be as prepared and do as good a job of preparing kids and coaches. BIG things are in store for his future.
  15. Remember, this is the game last year that cost you the playoffs. No turnovers-play hard-don't be denied! I'm always rooting for you. You are ready for greatness. Let it happen.
