What are you talking about? Fall ball maybe? The only summer tournament WV's varsity played in was the Dizzy Dean World series and lost to the team from Texas in the championship game.

Well it has been done. Someone finally found a way to bring the Mighty Mustangs down. We had to travel about 6 hrs. South and play some of Georgia's best 5A schools to do it. There has been a lot of talk on here about the teams in this area not being good and all. The teams not throwing they’re best, us throwing our best and such. WV has used 9 pitchers this year with 8 of them picking up at least 1 win. And just the odds of getting a loss, the more games you play the more of a chance to be beat. We have played far more games than Bradley and Cleveland or anybody else as far as overall records are reported. How were they beat, you ask? Just keep wondering. You have got to play better teams to get better and thats what we did. Walker Valley Mustangs going to Memphis!!

Yes, the academic celebration was very nice. I didn't realize we had so many intellectuals on the team.

Walker Valley's coach Mike Turner achieved his 600th win Sunday with the win over Red Bank. Thanks to Coach Turner for 25+ years of dedication to the Charleston/North Bradley County area. We are going to have a little shindig after the game with Kingston today.

You know he should and probably does have some capable assistant coaches to take over for him while he is out of pocket. I know, it's tough to have 2 boys to support and try to be equal. You guys are missing out on some good experience and exposure.

This post started by asking if any teams were disappointing. I will have to say I was disappointed in "some" of the players and FANS from Chatt. Central. A loud, rude, obnoxious, and foul-mouthed bunch. Hey #? did you get your panties out of a wad? You better listen to your mom. She was giving you very good advice.

I will have to say I thought the tournament was run very well also. The umpiring was very consistent. I'm kinda partial to Walker Valley too. Good job Mustangs!!

All I can say is, it was a heck of a weekend. Congratulations to the Walker Valley Mustangs going undefeated in the tourney. Hey GUESSWHO, thanks for some good scrimmages to help get us ready to play. The best I remember we did put up more runs than you guys. Why wasn't you all in the tournament? Coach gone to Florida??

All I can say is, to the best of my memory, the Central baseball feild was worse than some of the pastures around a few short years ago. After ole Joe got there the field, and surroundings, took on a more attractive look. You can say what you want about ole Joe, but we are proud to have him. It must be terrifying to you older Central players knowing that Joe knows your weakness. Just be ready come April 26,27. Aint going to be no letting up.

Whittle is not even playing this year. I think they are going to suprise some people this year though. Looks like they have got some young kids but, they're playing hard.

Kugler, he is still in basketball. Need to add Tyler Stafford to that list from WV.
