What about members of the back to back state championship teams of 97 and 98, where are they? Names like Scruggs, Dillehay, Payne, West, Cornwell, Carey, Samson, Timberlake, Dalton, Sanders, Moreland.

Payne- 2 years JUCO in Mississippi, now topping trees, Timberlake- 1 year at TTU, now doin nothing, Carey- 2 years at Cumberland playing baseball, finishing at MTSU, Assistant Groundskeeper at Greer Stadium, Marshall- driving a truck, Scruggs- 1 year JUCO in Mississippi, knee injury, now living in Hartsville

Hey Leatherballs, what's your team looking like for the coming year?

Glad to see the weather co-operating for the Blue Cross Bowl today and tomorrow. Read with great interest the posts a few weeks ago about the cancelled game in Trousdale Co. From what I read, the game administrator and the coach acted within the rules of the TSSAA for cancelling games, yet they were called liars, unethical, etc. for their actions. What would have happened if the weather that northern Middle Tennessee experienced this past Wednesday had happened on a Friday. You know: the rain, sleet, snow, temps at 30 all day and night. How many home teams would have considered cancelling the game under those conditions. Some schools even have policies that state that they do not have an athletic contest if they are not in school that day. Many schools were closed Wed. I am old enough to remember years ago that a snow came the first week of November and cancelled some games for a week.(Before play-offs for State Championships) Give me your thoughts.

Friendship has had some good basketball players in the past. Two that come to mind are a set of twins, Huffines?, Huffman?, something that started with an H. Anybody got any info on them?

It is a shame that very little of it is about the game!!!

Someone please start a "Let's bash each other" thread so that this one can get back to the subject at hand; the "Trousdale- Smith game".

A point that has never come up in this discussion is that Friendship Christian School was very quick to get Trousdale's place in the 1A region that Trousdale Was leaving. And who was in the region that FCS played?????? Was it CPA, FRA, DCA, Ezell????????
